  1. I would agree with that.
  2. There's an ASDA store just of the M8 only aq few minutes walk from the ground. You could always park there.
  3. The pitch has never been quite the same since the undersoil heating system, was installed but I've seldom seen it look as poor as it did on Saturday. Two more successive Saturday home games are unlikely to help.
  4. It was obvious from before the start of the season that we would struggle in the SPL without a single experienced striker on the books and that's an issue which wasn't addressed either by Brewster or Butcher in the transfer window. I agree Imrie up front is not ideal as he's not a striker but he does provide a lot of energy in that position and dispupts opposition defences even if he doesn't carry a huge goal threat. Given our lack of resources up front I can well understand why Butcher persists in playing him as a forward.

    Adam Rooney

He is potentially our best striker but there's no doubt that he's a bit away yet from being the finished article.
  6. He is the sort of solid reliable central defender we have been missing since Dods departed. Unless his salary demands are grossly excessive I'd like to see him signed on a two and a half or even a three and a half year contract just as soon as possible.
  7. Moitherwell are a strong improving tem. I'm not too disheartened by our performance or the result. I don't believe that the wheels have come off the Butcher bandwagon just a bit of a bump on a pothole strwn road to SPL safety.
  8. Never doubted he would be a success.
  9. If you're going to sell programmes you'll need to be able to spell them !
  10. There was never any doubt about his ability as a player. For that reason I agree with Bronson.
  11. Falkirk, St Mirren Kilmarnock, I don't care which we end the season ahead of as long as it's at least one of them !
  12. O2 gives me few problems with network connection in the Highlands. Not so good in the Western Isles though.
  13. I believe the tickets for the Falkirk game have been selling really well over the last few weeks and I too would expect the crowd to be between 5-6,000 and possibly 6K+ if the weather is good on the day.... A crowd approaching 6,000 would be very acceptable but still a surprise in my book.
  14. Hibs can't be as bad as that every week otherwise they'd be where we are in the table.
  15. Aberdeen have expressed an interest in doing the same thing.
  16. Still begs the question if he's fit enough to play why didn't he turn out for us, even as a sub, when wew were crying out for an experienced striker ?
  17. Hard to believe it's the same player who was so inconsistent for Ross County and so consistently poor, on his limited opportunities under Craig Brewster.
  18. Must bode well for the future.
  19. Well done lads for showing the big team the way.
  20. Welcome. Always nice to have another Jaggy on board !
  21. Not the best of games but the old ICT are back; dogged, hard working and difficult to beat but the way Hibs played it was difficult to believe that it was us propping up the division rather than them. The fact that we've made up ground on Falkirk, Kilmarnock and St Mirren is bound to be grounds for optimism.
  22. That Boxing Day game was a cracker. The home end was just about full for a change too and the result was the icing on that particular christmas cake.
  23. I have to say that I'm constantly astonished by how many, apparently otherwise intelligent people, choose to believe in a phenonemon for which there is no evidence whatsoever. As children we tend to accept the existence of God, Santa and the Tooth Fairy. All of us come to accept that at least two of these "beings" don't actually exist no matter how much we'd like them to but so many adults continue to believe in the most far fetched myth of them all. I have to say it's a mystery to me for which my presbyterian friends tell me condemns me to burn in Hell. At least I'll have some entertaining company !
  24. These are the sort of games we must start winning. Draws in these sort of fixtures are no longer enough ig we are going to narrow the gap on our relegation rivals.
  25. Don't think we've ever got this far before in this particular competition so good luck to the boys !
