  1. I agree with Mantis !
  2. Today's results mean that a point tomorrow will guarantee our future being in our own hands come the final game of the season against Falkirk.
  3. Second now.
  4. Back on.If we're promoted again this week we will be in the UK league proper from Monday.
  5. The home strip before the current one with clear distinctive horizontal stripes. My least favourite was the effort which looked like a cross between the Rangers strip of the time and the England cricket one day outfit.
  6. Am I alone in thinking that it was a foul and since it was in the penalty box therefor a penalty ? I know that Fletcher got some of the ball but, in my opinion, the height of his foot at the time warranted the referee giving a free kick.
  7. Jamie Smith is currently one of the highest paid players at Pittodrie hence the reason Aberdeen are hesitating over offering him a new contract. I doubt we could afford to match his wage demands.
  8. I'm very pleased for Ian and he deserves his call up. Nobody can doubt his committment to the ICT stuggle against relegation but, that said, there isn't a hope in hell of him playing for us next season.
  9. Congratulations for getting the words Vetle Andersen and high quality in the same post !
  10. Congratulations to Exeter. Successive promotions are never easy.
  11. Lets hope Butcher can persuade the board to re-consider Blackie's future as an ICT player. Let's get used the the fact that our best player will be playing in maroon next season. Just how many players can you name who have signed a pre contract agreement then failed to honour it ?
  12. Look to be on course for another promotion.
  13. A vital win given Falkirk's victory over Motherwell. Good to see the two club stalwarts bagging the goals.
  14. Our former manager could yet be playing for County in the Second Division next season. Their failure to beat Livingston coupled with Airdrie's surprise victory at Firhill means that there will be a few sweaty palms in the Easter Ross area next week.
  15. With both Falkirk and Hamilton reviving after weeks of apparently terminal decline it's certainly " interesting" at the foot of the table. None of the feeble five are safe. A win against Hamilton next week would, however, go a very long way indeed towards securing our position.
  16. We can maybe take some comfort from the fact that no club has ever been relegated from the 12 team SPL with as many points as we now have in the bag. Let's hope ICT don't make history this season !
  17. The UK Qualifiers are back on for those wanting to assist ICT to a successive promotion.
  18. Concentrate in defence for the full 90 minutes.
  19. I don't agree with very much that the football authorities do these days but I do agree with the automatic deduction of points from clubs going into administration and thereby gaining an advantage over their competitors who actually try to do the decent thing and meet their obligations.
  20. Not surprised to hear him linked with the club where he made his name as a player but I suspect his mediocre managerial record south of the border will rule him out as a serious candidate.
  21. Last night's game at Annfield was exciting right enough but I'm not sure about the quality. There was some rank bad defending on both sides.
  22. While I'd normally support the Pars against Falkirk, this time around I wouldn't mind if the Bairns progressed. The prospect of a Hampden final might just disteact them from the bread and butter business of scrapping to remain in the SPL.
  23. Unfortunately, in the current economic climate the club are likely to go for the option that delivers greatest income rather than quality.
  24. How many squandered chances is it going to take for Butcher to accept that Imrie is not a forward and that his energy is much better employed from midfield ?
  25. Now that the post split fixtures have been announced and that our final game of the season is at home to Falkirk, there's a slightly perverse part of me hoping the relegation issue is still alive by then. Can you imagine the excitement and tension of the occasion if the drop to the first division was riding on 90 minutes of football at the TCS ? There would be a full house and huge media attention. The importance of the fixture would eclipse both our Scottish Cup semi finals and the promotion clincher against St Johnstone. I think it would be the greatest and most important match ever to be staged in the Highlands. On the other hand, the more rational and logical side of me tells me that it would be in the interests of all concerned for us to maintain at least the 4 point gap that currently exists between us and the Bairns so that the match becomes another largely meaningless end of season fixture with the greatest excitement being generated by the now traditional arrival of the Highland Marchers in the ground. Still, I can't get the thought of the prospect of the former scenario out of my mind.
