  1. How unlucky can you get. My understanding is that ICT dids make enquiries at the time but were rebuffed both by St Johnstone and the man himself.
  2. 8 I thought it was closer to 14, great guy and a real legend , can he save us I doubt it, does he really want it I doubt it , probably his agent and him putting him in shop window again Exactly right in my opinion.
  3. The problem with that argument is that he's already failed as a manager on at least four continents !
  4. Sorry I'll take that as a rap on the knuckles then !
  5. Being realistic I suppose another asset Robbo has is that he is the only manager with expeerience of getting ICT promoted from the first division. Given our current situation it's a trick he may well have to repeat next season.
  6. Not the experienced manager we need at this time.
  7. My only reservation about Archie Knox is that he has no recent experience of managing in the SPL and experienced pair of hands. Another who might fall into that catagory is Davie Hay.
  8. I have never seen or heard the actual quote but did Sutherland actually say that he would not be back at ICT under his watch? I don't think he's ever said that publically but that seems to be the general consensus.
  9. Mauris Malpas may well be a nice guy but the facts suggest that he's not a very good football manager.
  10. He's certainly put the ball into the club's court although I suspect that if he was their preferred candidate he would have the job by now.
  11. Not really surpsising. Coming on here in the first place will hardly have enhanced his prospects.
  12. And we could certainly do a whole lot better. What has John Robertson done since leaving ICT? Get sacked a few times for not getting results. Steven Pressley would bring some passion to the team as well as being an excellent manager. With Barry Wilson as deputy. Yeah because Steven Pressley sounds so passionate in his interviews..NOT Sounds more of a thick fecker than Brewster the Bulb And I have heard from some people in the game he is even more arrogant than Brewster That's the last thing we want just at the moment !
  13. The thought of Malpas does not insipre me.
  14. I'm pretty sure we could afford his salary but that's not the issue.
  15. Interesting comment made by at least one of the pundits on last night's Sportsound that when Brewster was reappointed that move was highly popular with ICT fans. That's not my recollection. I seem to remember that only a minority of fans, certainly on this website, were supportive of the move.
  16. I tend to agree with those who believe thatyif Robbo was going to be the new man it would have happened by now.
  17. I heard that, he called talksport his self 20mins after Barry Hearns had been on, announcing they were looking for a new manager, putting his name name forward. Far too nice a man, good coach, never a manager. Not even sure about the " good coach" bit.
  18. The current board is here to stay unless an investor with at least a couple of million turns up out of the blue. The board have made mistakes, not least in failing to communicate, but we are stuck with them like it or not. Hopefully, however, they will have learned from recent mistakes and they and the major shareholder will not adopt such a high handed approach to fans and minor shareholders in the future.
  19. It may indeed be too late but not necessarily so. The squad are capable of pulling away from the foot of the table if properly motivated and deployed. Now that the main problem has been remove3d we at least have a chance.
  20. He knows the league and he knows the players and what they are capable of. We could certainly do worse.
  21. He has a mediocre record as a manager and knows nothing about the SPL. No thanks !
  22. He's a good coach but he's got some task on his hands.
  23. Ince and Boothroyd, as well as knowing nothing about scottish football, are well beyond our budget.
  24. In my opinion Craig Brown has been out of active football management for too long to be effective and, as we require, to hit the ground running.
  25. Robbo at least knows the players and what they're capable of. He's worked with a number of them before and the others he watches every second week. That must give him a bit of an advantage over many of the other candidates.
