I would agree that Alan Stevenson, on his best form, was one of the most skillful players to grace the Highland League. His problemwas that he frequently drifted out of matches for long spells at a time.

With all due respect to Barry Robson, Rangers will have to set their sights higher than that if they want to challenge next season.

He's certainly secured his place in Highland League history as the very last person to play for Thistle, Caley and Clach.
