  1. They can do what they like with this particular trophy. Hopefully, we will never be eligible to compete for it again.
  2. Good for them, it may give them a boost in their efforts to stay in the First Division. What sort of crowd was there ?
  3. Clyde down to ten men, advantage County.
  4. Maybe we weren't Hibs bogey team after all, we might just have been Tony Mowbry's bogey side.
  5. Anyone know the half time score ?
  6. What an opportunity for Michael next saturday. Which 'keeper is likely to be on the bench ?
  7. Sincere good wishes to our neighbours from Dingwall for sunday's Diddy Cup final.
  8. The difference is that McSwegan is now approaching something like match fitness.
  9. This thread seems to have travelled well over a mile already from the RNI on the north bank of the Ness to the Locarno Cafe bang in the centre of town
  10. On the wall between the seated part of the cafe and the front part as I recall although I was quite young at the time.
  11. Could be a very successful apointment by the Pars. To be fair to Chick Young, I believe what he said was tht the Dunfermline players were keen on DP being appointed.
  12. Strangely, I too have had a nagging thought that Brown to Hibs was a distinct possibility either in the transfer window or at the end of the season. Here's hoping that we're both wrong.
  13. With all due respect to Charlie, I think that it would do Rory McAllister the world of good to get the confidence of scoring regularly at Second Division level until the end of the season. After all, he is behind Dargo, Bayne, Wyness and probably McSwegan in the pecking order for our team. If he found his scoring boots and, with them, his confidence, at Peterhead he might start next season seriously challenging for a first team start especially if Dargo is no longer with us by then.
  14. Not to mention the impressive mural depicting a young boy apparently attempting to strangle a goose.
  15. With Dundee United getting off the bottom under the influence of Craig Levien and Dunfermline maybe about to get inspiration from the appointment of their new manager it's shaping up, Celtic apart, to be the most unpredictable SPL for many a long year. If teams like Rangers and Hearts ontinue to self destruct it means that clubs like ourselves have the potential to finish anywhere between second and last. It may be as a result of general mediocrity but nobody can accuse the SPL being anything short of gripping this season. Long may it last.
  16. I'd settle for playing the winners in the third round.
  17. For a fairly large commercial manufacturer Stratton ice cream was indeed delicious. These days the best italian style ice cream produced north of the central belt is by Rizza of Huntly.
  18. Despite my earlier post, I'm genuinely pleased for Mark who richly deserves his chance at this level.
