  1. As for the immediate future, success will be remaining above Dunfermline until the conclusion of the season. A fourth consecutive season at SPL level would be quite a feat for a club witgh our resourses and fan base.
  2. Well done lads, that must bode well for the future.
  3. It's not so much apathy that I fear as the Scottish cringe mentality believing the Unionist myth that we are somehow too stupid or too poor to make a success of independance.
  4. We have to play everybody a least once before the split.
  5. To be fair, she is world champion in a difficult and dangerous sport. Trouble is there were no outstnding candidates at all this year.
  6. The English Premiership is attractive toinvestors because it's awash with TV money. Almost £40,000,000 for a mid ranking club next season.
  7. What we need is a more creative and less predictible midfield. The forwards are all capable of scoring if they received more and better service.
  8. To answer ICT Away's question about oil revnues, such matters are governed by international law and there is no question that by employing long accepted protocals th vast majority of the oil feilds, and with them the revenues, would be in Scottishterritorial waters. There's not a thing that the rump of the former UK could do about that. Of course companies could decode to relocate elswhere but they would only do so if it was in their economic interests. An autonomous scottish gvernment would be foolish to do anything to disturb existing large companies headqurtered here and might be well able to attract others. Yes, e would have to excercise fiscal prudence but surely we're beter placed to represent and advance our own national interests than a Westminter government often with very different, sometimes conflicting, priorities.
  9. My fear that Dundee United, once ten points adrift of us, might finish the season ahead of us doesn't seem so baseless now. My biggest worry is that they've wiped out that advantage much more quickly than I thought possible six weeks go.
  10. Fergie would have enjoyed it without doubt.
  11. Given our resourses, or rather the lack of them, we have no right to expect to remain in the SPL season after season. The fact of the matter is that we only have to finish the season above one other side. We have an eight point head start over Dunfermline ad Falkirk are likely to be pretty toothless if they lose Anthony Stokes in the transfer window with Lapaty also likely to be far less effective on the heavy winter pitches.
  12. For the first time this season I am concerned about the prospect of relegation. If we don't take at least 6 points from our forthcomong fixtures against Kilmarnock, Dunfermline, Falkirk and St Mirren we could be in the mire especially if the Pars begin to improve under their new manager. That said, Charlie was voted SPL manager of the month only a matter of weeks ago and deserves more time to try to turn things around. High time for the senior players in the side to stand up and be counted.
  13. No crisis yet but if we fail to take at least five points from our matches against Kilmarnock, Dunfermline and Falkirk I will be worried.
  14. A tricky away tie given our current form.
