No need for me to reply. That puts the case concisely but perfectly. On reflection, I should answer Yngwie's question more directly. I would find an extreme right wing regime in Edinburgh just as worrying and threatening as one in London, perhaps even more so. However, since Scotland has not voted by majority for a right of centre party since 1955, I doubt that would be a serious threat. Even then it was the moderate centre right Conservatives of Anthony Eden. Very different from the Alexander(Boris) Johnstons, Dominic Raabs and Nigel (stockbroker of the people) Farages who loom large today.

Agreed. We have been told too often and for too long that we are incapable of running our own affairs, often by fellow Scots like Ruth Davidson, David Mundel and Gordon Brown that too many have, in the past, believed that to be so. However, given the extreme right wing disaster that is now the United kingdom, surely even many of the doubters will be persuaded next time around.

The more I learn about this new CEO the more I like. Looking like, for the first time in a while, we have competent management both on and off the pitch.

They have been for years. Not entirely sure, as yet, how much credit Brian Rice can take for that. What they do have is an excellent record of developing their own players and cashing in on them which we would do well to try to emulate.

The really worrying thing about Boris Johnson is that I am convinced that he doesn't believe in Brexit. Rather, on the eve of the referendum campaign he took the calculated view that to be seen to campaign for Brexit would further his own political ambitions and that he remains determined to hold that position even in the knowledge of the damage that will do to the United Kingdom.

Well, the inevitable has happened and May is gone. Just as inevitable is the fact that her successor will be an extreme brexiteer determined to pull the United Kingdom out of the most successful economic and cultural union in history on a no deal basis with the inevitable economic and cultural disaster that will ensue leaving the UK isolated, insular and xenophobic. I feel sorry for our friends and neighbours in England, Wales and Northern Ireland who, in all probability will have no choice but to endure these consequences. However, we in Scotland will have a choice. There will of course to challenges and difficulties in taking an independent course but we have the oportunity to be an outward looking, confident, welcoming internationalist nation rather than facing the certainly of what lies ahead if we do nothing.

More good news. The pitch has been an issue for at least three seasons now. Hopefully, we will have the players to take advantage of the better playing surface and improve on our thoroughly mediocre home form.

Dundee United host St Mirren this evening in the first leg of the play off final. Although it sticks in the throat, Hoping for the Arabs to prevail. A team with much more money than us and a competent manager. Would much rather be facing St Mirren four times next season.

The best way to deal with Dundee's disgraceful conduct is to do what we did in 2010 and beat them to the title and to promotion.
