  1. Very reasonable. No reason why we can't attract four thousand home fans for the most important match in two years.
  2. Agreed. He has been excellent since and will be a great asset in the play offs.
  3. Far from impossible. Last season we won five of our final six matches and drew the other. Emulate that and we will be kicking off next season in the Premiership. We can do this.
  4. Having beaten East Kilbride in the play off semi final Cove Rangers now play the SPFL's bottom club Berwick Rangers for a place in League 2 next season. A question born out of my ignorance. In the event that Berwick lose, where do they go ? Surely even the Scottish football authorities wouldn't have them in the Highland League with journeys from England to the likes of Wick and Brora undertaken by part time players seventeen times in the course of a season.
  5. So it is. Thank you.
  6. Thanks. Scot or not, not a great fan of greedy cheats. That said, I am not much of a fan of set ups by hypocritical tabloid journalists with even lower morals than those they are setting up either.
  7. Next step the Ayrshire coast on Wednesday. Not easy but looking forward to a repeat of the Somerset Park conga and taking, at the very least, a draw into the second leg.
  8. Sorry, not a great snooker fan and don't think that I have ever read the News of the World. I confess that passed me by.
  9. Did hospitality survive unscathed ??
  10. Good to see him back between the sticks today. Cammy has been an able deputy but having Mark back is a great boost to our play off hopes. Not very often I agree with AS but I agree he is the best in the division.
  11. Yes. Stark contrast to Brechin who, with similar resources, have suffered successive relegations. Goodwin certainly seems to have potential but only time will tell whether that is realised.
  12. Not sure whether snooker is really a sport rather than a pastime but congratulations to a previously completely out of form John Higgins for reaching his eighth World Final over twenty years after first winning the tournament. Here's hoping his luck is better than in the last two.
  13. A very good season. Only successfully negotiating the play offs will make it a great one.
  14. Maybe not the best game ever but a win and a clean sheet against a team who once looked likely to beat us to a play off spot, overtaking Ayr to claim what could be a crucial home game in the second leg of our tie against them and a very handy extra £75,000 in our very public battle for finance. All opposed to finishing absolutely rock bottom and being related to the third tier. I know things have been far from rosy but which of the two 2015 cup finalists would you prefer to be a fan of ? Congratulations as well to Alloa who, had the only part time team in the division, avoided, not only only automatic relegation but the play off spot as well. The hard work now really begins but we are capable, we can do it.
  15. What he did was appalling but hopefully he has learned a valuable lesson and can rebuild his career.
  16. There have been 'screw ups but that should not mask the fact that, given the resources available, Robbo, the coaches and the players have done a remarkable job keeping us in the promotion race. I have been as critical of the board as most but right now is the time to get fully behind the team whatever our off field issues and concerns might be.
  17. Both important factors.
  18. The good news is that, unlike this time last season, this is not our final game of the season. Hopefully, six more and a huge end of season celebration to come.
  19. I would say better than a slim chance. Ayr have a tough match against a team still battling relegation. First, however, we need to win to take advantage of any slip up at Somerset Park.
  20. Largely due to Asda going ahead with the purchase of their old ground whereas they did not pursue their initial interest in ours.
  21. HT; ICT 1, Dunfermline 1 FT; ICT 2, Dunfermline 1 ICT; Doran Dunfermline; Rooney(og) Crowd; 2,204
  22. A rare but very welcome intervention. Were it not for the timely intervention of David Sutherland the seminal event of 1999 would not have been our famous victory at Parkhead but our administration or, quite possibly, liquidation. Before he came in we were carrying a debt more than twice our annual turnover and the bank had run out of patience. He laid the foundations for a decade and a half spent mainly in the black and mainly in the top flight. He did make mistakes but who doesn't. We have much to be thankful to him for.
  23. Absolutely agree. The real pity is that neither he or Alan Savage could put aside their respective egos and work together constructively and in colaberation . Had that been the case, I doubt we would be in the position we are in today. However, had it not been for David Sutherland's contributions I doubt we would be watching full time football at all.
  24. Has extended his contract by two years meaning he will be with us for at least the next three seasons. Excellent news and one position that shouldn't concern us whatever division we are in.
  25. Our average crowds in the top league were always in excess of 4,000
