  1. Let's not get paranoid. Never a good quality.
  2. I suspect that they will forfeit the three points. If so, quite an incentive for ourselves and Raith Rovers.
  3. Brora are not amateur, they are part time professional but, that pedantic observation apart, I agree entirely. Everyone deserves a second chance but he needs to change that attitude and change it now.
  4. He needs to be taken into the manager's office first thing in the morning and told that that sort of conduct will not be tolerated. We paid heavily for poor discipline last season and can't afford to again. An apology to Brora, his victim and his own team mates would not go amiss either.
  5. There were times, quite a few of them, where Jake could have done with being a bit more professional himself.
  6. I wasn't aware that Daniel McKay had been away.
  7. We have been very fortunate with the way these group fixtures have panned out. Playing weak Highland League teams with split squads may have engendered a certain level of fitness but was never an adequate pre season for the competitive season ahead. Thanks to the SPFL fixture computer we have now been able to step up by playing a much better Highland League team with a full squad and to step up again by playing a league side. Maybe something we should bear in mind for pre season next season when the fixture fairy might not be so kind to us again.
  8. An away win by three clear goals is a good result whatever the status of the opposition or stage of the season. An encouraging start.
  9. Too old and years since he's shown any decent form.
  10. My preference for the way that aim should be achieved would be for me to win the Euromillions jackpot !
  11. Not just a good World Cup but a wonderful one. The most entertaining tournament for decades with the Russians proving surprisingly good hosts.
  12. Tullochs and David Sutherland have made mistakes and have beneffitted from rental income and stadium naming rights for over a decade but nobody should forget that we were once over two and a half million pounds in debt on an annual turnover of much less than that and had Sutherland and Tullochs not stepped in at the time to sort out the mess we might not have a club at all right now. Further, had Tullochs not constructed the North and South Stands in record time we would not have been able to bring top tier football to Inverness at all. Tullochs may have got their money's worth since but have twice stepped in to rescue us in times of crisis. Anyway, back on topic, there may be no money to do so right now but, while the Main Stand is well served by toilet and server facilities it would be nice to replace the portaloos and pie sheds saving the North and South Stands with permanent and better toilet/servery blocks.
  13. I honestly fail to see the issue in remembering three quid in coins to pay for the car park. Surely there are far more pressing issues.
  14. Delighted that this thread is almost redundant. The season proper is just over three hours away and with a full pre season with no upheaval or disruption let's hope for a far far better start to the season than a year ago. Very best wishes to John Roberston, the coaches, the players and everyone working hard behind the scenes. Let's have such a successful season that we start the next one back in the Premiership.
  15. Not a major issue then since you will be at the stadium anyway.
  16. If I were English, I would be fairly pleased with the overall performance of my young and relatively inexperienced team and my, until now, unheralded manager. They exceeded the unusually modest pre tournament expectations. However, that pleasure would be tempered by frustration that an opportunity, perhaps a once in a generation opportunity, had been lost. With the pre tournament favourites such as Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Portugal all departing early there will never be a better opportunity. France would have been formidable opponents and favourites to beat them in the final but at half time they had one foot in the final but, for whatever reason, frankly played poorly for most of the second half and the period of extra time. However, credit should be given to Croatia who, that first fort five minutes apart, showed more skill, tactical awareness and, perhaps most significant of all, enegy and desire.
  17. Fact, we are at home yet again watching a major tournament take place without us even in the group stages when they are in the World Cup final.
  18. Let's never accept the tired old excuse about Scotland being too small to be successful ever again. The population of Croatia is significantly less than Scotland and they are in the World Cup final for goodness sake. We are not too small. We are just not good enough. We need a root and branch change from youth football up. If Croatia can do it there ought, in theory, to be no reason why we can't.
  19. Another wonderfully entertaining game in a wonderful tournament. I really think that the third place play off is an anachronism these days. Who cares who comes third and I am sure both beaten semi finalists would just like to be on the plane home.
  20. 8-0 up now with quarter of an hour still to go.
  21. As has been said, it's close season and people have other priorities and, unless there is upheaval in the shape of relegation or speculation about a new manager or the existing manager being sacked, things inevitably go quiet so maybe it's no bad thing that we don't have that much to discuss until the football proper begins. Also, just three years ago ICT were a hugely successful team permanently in the top tier and regularly in the top six competing in and winning major finals. Sadly, we are now a mid table Championship side so, for now at least, it's perhaps not surprising that interest in general and traffic on this site has dwindled a little. Come March or April, if we are challenging for promotion I am sure you will see a difference.
  22. Can rely on the Dins to snap up our best players for nothing when they are out of contract but it seems we can't rely on them to honour their commitment to a pre season friendly.
  23. English, Scottish or from Mars. Doesn't matter if they support ICT and back the team. Surely the fact that incomers to the area develop a loyalty to the local football club can only be a good thing.
