  1. In contrast to our former managers who have generally left to the major detriment of their careers.
  2. Agreed. Has the potential to be the striker we've been searching for since Billy McKay left first time around.
  3. I would be very surprised if Partick held out for a transfer fee. Their priority will be to get him off the wage bill.
  4. Even if we could afford him, which we can't, just what has Miles Storey done since he left us to justify us breaking our wage structure for ?
  5. Agreed and we have a decent record playing in the capital.
  6. That is very true. We have a decent looking squad but it's a relatively small one and, if we are going to make a concerted push for promotion, we certainly can't afford the level of indiscipline and subsequent loss of players to suspension that plagued us in the middle of last season.
  7. Can we please get this thread back on topic otherwise it will be closed.
  8. When did Zibi Malkowskie become Liverpool goalkeeping coach?
  9. For goodness sake, be realistic. Patrick, who are likely to have a bigger budget than us, can't afford to keep Storey and we apparently can't afford to keep the higher paid players we already have. If there is any spare cash at all surely we should prioritise keeping Warren rather than coveting a player who did well for us but has done little of note since.
  10. Given that background, I suppose that we can expect some cuts.
  11. Very disappointing. The feel good factor that had been developing has been considerably diluted with this news that the club still has not communicated. So, we can apparently afford to appoint a chief executive officer presumably on a salary commensurate with such a senior position but can't afford to retain the services of our club captain who's ability and experience could be the difference between seriously challenging for promotion or not in what will be a vital season ahead. What a very odd set of priorities.
  12. Not a bad group.

Ask Tom if he would be interested in doing the catering at the stadium.
  14. I would have preferred this post to have been advertised externally. However, now that her appointment has been confirmed, I wish her well in what will be a challenging role especially while we remain outside of the Premiership without access to the revenue streams available in that division. One priority should be better communication which has remained very poor despite undertakings given many months ago..
  15. If so, that shows a distinct lack of ambition on his part for a still relatively young player trying to rebuild his career.
  16. A more pertinent question is where it happened to which I suspect that the answer is only in Alan Simpson's fertile imagination.

Probably because of the stick he's getting from those standing on the shore.

Quite aside from being offensive to some with mental health issues who may indeed be residing or having resided in New Craigs.

Thanks for posting the clearer images. Those are the best combination of home and away strips we've had for years.

Whilst I would have preferred stripes, I actually like both the home and away kits. Pleased to see the use of blue, red and black on the home kit. A thumbs up from me.

As long as at least one of them is a twenty goals a season striker.
  22. Ayr are part time and didn't switch to full time status the last time they were promoted to the Championship. However, as Dumbarton proved last season, a well run and well coached part time team is perfectly capable of being competitive in this division.
  23. Maybe not but he had the good judgement to sign them.
  24. I think John Robertson is a pretty decent manager but I confess that his legendary exploits have somewhat passed me by.
  25. I agree and if we manage to unearth a promising trialist or two within our budget then so much the better.
