  1. I agree. Daniel McKay is going to be some player and will, no doubt, move onwards and upwards to further his career but it will be a privilege to watch him develop and would be great if when he left it was after helping us back into the Premiership and for a seven figure fee.
  2. Two goals from Austin and one from young Daniel McKay.
  3. Enough please. Back on topic. Any further personal insults and those responsible will be banned from the thread. Any issue with that then please refresh your memory my reading the very clear site rules.
  4. I doubt that Robbo will see all of it in his player budget but it would be nice to see at least one addition to our perilously small first team squad.
  5. Then you know what to do. Nobody is obliging you to post.
  6. There was me thinking it was in the eating.
  7. I agree. If we don't get promoted next season then, with further cuts and the loss of the parachute payment, it will become increasingly difficult. One reason why it's imperative that we get of to a decent start rather than playing catch up as we were doing for virtually the whole of last season.
  8. With one or two exceptions, I don't see much of a mob. I do see a large number of faithful fans concerned about the direction of travel the club has been on probably ever since our cup triumph.
  9. You may be right about 80% of our fans not being able to name anyone on the board but that in itself is part of the problem. I bet close to 100% of County fans could name at least their chairman.
  10. The last Caley player I saw take a penalty was Billy Urqhart. To be fair, as I recall, he struck it well.
  11. I regret to say that I foresook ICT to watch two excellent games on TV and consume three bottles of Newcastle Brown. Come to think of it, I don't regret to say it that much but good to hear of both wins for us and, in particular, a hat trick for young Daniel McKay. What an exciting prospect he is.
  12. Wouldn't be the first Horatio to play football in Inverness.
  13. Nobody should expect too much too soon. The organisation has not been functioning properly for a very long time. There is no point in attempting to ascribe blame for that now. The first task of the new board is to get it's domestic house in order and, after so much chaos for so long, we need to cut them some slack and allow them at least a couple of meetings to get their feet under the table before getting on with the more serious business. There is much to do but it's important this time that it's dine properly. If that means waiting for a few months then so be it.
  14. Swithering. A drive up to Fort George and a couple of hours in the sunshine watching ICT or on the sofa with a couple of beers watching France v Argentina. Need to make my mind up soon.
  15. While it might be disappointing, I fail to see how failing to retain the Irn Bru Cup could ever be remotely classed as a disaster.
  16. Strong and, unless the poster can provide evidence to back up that allegation, wholly inappropriate.
  17. Is there wine and fine dining available in corporate ?
  18. Perhaps Roy McGregor hasn't taken the same flack because, like him or loathe him, unlike the current members of our own board, he has invested millions of pounds of his own money in his club, runs it very professionally and, perhaps most importantly, makes a point of communicating well and often with its fans. Our board may not be either willing or able to match his investment in a financial sense but they could learn a lot from him in many other respects.
  19. Not sure I agree with your last sentence. We may be going backwards still in the board room but on the field, we have arrested the decline and, in the latter part of last season, showed every sign of starting to move forward again. I am disappointed to see Gary Warren go as the latest victim of cost cutting but remain optimistic for the season ahead.
  20. Good luck for next season. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Yeovil since your FA Cup exploits in your non league days. With all due respect to Buckie Thistle, far and away my favourite team in green and white hoops. As has been said, Gary Warren is a true professional and a gentleman. He may be just a little past his prime but you will never fault his dedication and commitment.
  21. Utterly typical of that apology for a local newspaper.
  22. Money ?
  23. One thing we were promised was better communication. We are short of money but that costs little and, had it been delivered would have been much appreciated by fans. However, rather than improving, communication is almost non existent and that apology of a statement released today takes the biscuit.Quite apart from the fact that it is belated, it is an embarrassment and looks like it's been written by a fifteen year old on work experience and a thoroughly inarticulate fifteen year old at that. Just what is our recently appointed CEO doing to justify her salary ?
  24. Is that Giovani Succinct or his brother Roberto ?
