  1. Yip. I too travelled for the original game but couldn't make the replay. Wasn't the featured game on Sportsound until they switched to it for the last few minutes. The best radio listening of my life.
  2. A topic that has been done to death and I have been as guilty as most.. We are where we are, no matter who's fault it is we are here. How we got into this state is no longer important. What is important is where and how we go from here and how things can improve.
  3. Hughes was on a downward spiral which has continued since he left. The mistake was not to sack Hughes who had lost the confidence of just about everybody. The mistake was not even necessarily to give the inexperienced Foran a chance. The mistake was to give him a five year contract and then not terminate that contract as it became increasingly apparent that he was way out of his depth.
  4. A nice idea in theory but I can see it actually costing the club revenue. I doubt it would attract more than a few dozen new fans but I can imagine at least a couple of hundred who go already and probably sit in the North Stand opting to stand on the West terrace instead and, if that cost a tenner, the club would lose money and gain precious few genuinely new supporters.
  5. I sometimes wonder if the people who come to the TCS and spend much of the time whinging and moaning and shouting abuse at the players also go to Eden Court and shout insults if someone in the orchestra strikes a false note or an actor fluffs a line. If not, what on earth thinks they can behave that way at the football.
  6. Agreed. The almost total lack of communication by the current regime is increasingly weakening the bond between club and fans. If that bond is broken it will be very difficult to repair.
  7. We have had some remarkable victories in the last quarter of a century but, given all the circumstances, that was the most remarkable of all. A wonderful memory. Thanks to the OP for posting the link.
  8. I don't think that girls ever enjoyed such an experience but were conditioned by society to to flash their flesh and wave pom poms rather than play, watch or coach football. Thankfully, those days are in the past but we still need to put much more effort into attracting and encouraging half our potential fan base.
  9. I appreciate that you have been in North America for a long time Scarlet but cheerleaders and half time on pitch entertainment are not the answer in Inverness.Apart from anything else, they have been tried before with no positive effect on attendances. We will never have a huge support but entertaining and attractive football would help together with an improved match day experience including better catering.
  10. Going away from the ground yesterday I wondered, for the first time since he was appointed, whether John Robertson was the right man for the job. Today, in the cold right of day, I am still not sure. I hope that, over the remainder of the season, things improve and faith in the manager and his ability is restored.
  11. Poor team selection, poor tactics, poor application and poor, verging on irrational substitutions. The only comfort we can take is that our rivals for that final play off, which appears now to be our only realistic target, fared no better. However, even that final play off place will be beyond us if we continue to play as badly as that. On current form, Brad McKay is not a Championship level player.
  12. These myriad little things are beginning to mount up already. One somewhat less little and very significant thing is Nissan's decision to reverse their decision to invest in their Sunderland plant and that will be just the start of it. Ironically, with Sunderland as an example, it will, without doubt, be the overwhelmingly Brexit supporting manufacturing regions who will suffer most. Talk about turkeys voting for Christmas.
  13. Leaving aside any figures and statistics which are manipulated either way, why does anyone think that Scotland, uniquely among developed northern European nations is incapable of managing it's own affairs ? Patronising and ill informed.
  14. We certainly won't be able to parrk in The car park.
  15. The Dream Ring Arena ?
  16. HT; Patrick 0, ICT 1 FT; Patrick 1, ICT 2 ICT; Polworth Partick; Spittel Crowd; 2,104
  17. I remember I once agreed with Dougal and Charles Bannerman in the same evening. Had to lie down for a couple of hours to recover.
  18. I fear he will be overwhelmed by the Premiership atmosphere and massive crowds at New Douglas Park.
  19. Personally, I would settle for Patrick Thistle at least one fewer than Caley Thistle.
  20. We are in a play off spot and, with a bit of rub of the green, are perfectly capable of remaining there with the players we have. Dundee United have eleven new recruits to bed in and find their feet at the club. Our squad might be small but it is settled and tight knit.
  21. He certainly deserves a great deal less abuse than he gets. Some of our 'fans' should be ashamed of themselves.
  22. Is he pregnant ?
  23. A loss but also an opportunity for our two young home grown strikers to make more of an impression. Disappointing but not a disaster.
  24. Or four ?
  25. I agree. It's a difficult compromise but the brutal bottom line is that we are barely attracting two thousand fans when games are played at three o'clock on a Saturday and the modest amount we still get from the TV companies is what keeps us, just about, viable as a full time club.
