  1. Sutherland knows the ground well, having spent 5 or so months on loan...
  2. Has Hayes or Foran made an appearance in pre-season yet? I remember Foran injuring himself against Ayr in the penultimate game of the season; could that still be bothering him?

Doesn't Tuffey play as a 'sweeper-keeper' anyways? Surely he'll mop up anything if called upon... ;o)

Morris and Lough not getting deals... P&J Story
  5. He was raved about on his debut I seem to remember, on a televised game. He was very good on the ball and confident going forward. Good to have a bit of variety and competition for places.
  6. Doubt it if it was 6-0 at HT. Can anyone who was there give a detailed account of goals/individual performances? These 2 months I've been starved of ICT based news!

This would be a fitting tribute to their efforts I feel. Giving that sense of pride with wearing an ICT shirt and celebrating their achievements can only build stronger ties to the club.
  8. Quite a lot of goals from corners/free kicks I take? Good news if so!
  9. Jings Crivvens! It's maybe a good think we never played more of our first choice 11!!
  10. Andrew Milne & Daniel Lough are both trialists from what I remember. S/J Sutherland, Shinnie and Morrison are all Under 19s... what about Steven MacKay? Not heard of him before...
  11. I imagine the team will be stronger at the weekend. Looking forward to hearing how the trialists get on. Any word on who's on the bench?
  12. Good stuff, keep the updates coming! I'm stuck in Aberdeen tonight, as I fly off to Malaga in the morning for a week of sun

There's no way you can predict the team tonight. But I would imagine that there will be starts for at least one of the defenders on trial, alongside Munro or Tokely to talk him through the game.

There is no reserve leage, so expect the backup keeper to play in closed door games/cup games and friendlies.

We signed him for nowt and on reduced wages!? P&J Today Amazing work Butcher!

It should be beneficial for both keepers in theory, as both have different strengths: Esson with presence, crosses, kicks and communication; whereas Tuffey is a very very good shot stopper. Hopefully both can learn from each other.

Aye it's a good luxury to have. Looking forward to seeing him in the pre-season games if pen goes to paper!
  18. I imagine the players will be wearing the training strips for this Thursday's game, similar to quite a few friendlies we played last year.

VERY surprised at this if true!
  20. A side note, but I'd like him to take more throw-ins next season. We were terrible at throw-ins all last season, trying to give the ball short to Eric; when sometimes we had the chance to get the ball into the box for the likes of Tokely and Foran to challenge and create a chance.

I'd take him back. He was solid for us when on loan, and offers a bit of cover at right back and midfield. There were quite a few Dons fans in Aberdeen sad to see him go, as he was one of the very few players to always give 100%.
  22. Also... will we get video highlights for the pre-season games? Like we had at the end of last season's league games.
  23. RossP replied to hasman82's topic in Caley Thistle
I'm continually delighted that we haven't signed Bob Malcolm or Lee Bullen! They're experienced players, but I still wouldn't have them anywhere near our team. I'd still quite like Pavels back though...
  24. But book it in advance, as otherwise the fares go way up in price
