  1. How do the sizes fit in comparison to last season's strip? I'd ideally like to order online, but was swithering on heading through at the weekend since I'm visiting folk in Elgin.
  2. I shoved up the recording of today's ICT goals on my Twitter page
  3. Livingston have been rotten at home in 2015, so hopefully we can heap more misery on them tomorrow. If there are no injuries, we have to go with the same team as Saturday IMO. After half a dozen games where personnel and positions were swapped each week (out of necessity), we need to keep a familiar lineup.
  4. Not sure it was necessarily a 'debacle'. Sbragia (then Scotland U19 manager) simply omitted Harper from a squad on a 'horses-for-courses' basis. But that's in the past - Sbragia has since been promoted to U21 boss and I'm delighted he's picked Ryan Christie in his first squad. Incidentally, I notice that Scot Gemmill, the managerial successor for the U19s, has also omitted Jack Harper (who is still eligible), from his squad. Doubt there'll be a dicky-bird said about that, though. There's a touch of the 'Ben Greenhalgh' about all of this 'controversy'. That guy has had the burden of being 'linked' with Inter Milan around his neck his whole career - photos of him with Jose Mourinho and being the body-double of Christiano Ronaldo didn't help. A huge burden of expectation that his limited talents simply didn't warrant. Harper, being on the books of Real Madrid at an early age, created some sort of deluded expectation that he should automatically be in the U19 squad on the back of the club he plays for. However, he's now signed for Brighton and Hove Albion, so will now be able to show what he can do at a more 'modest' club...without the stellar expectations from folk who I doubt have ever even seen him play! Harper has been injured since the start of the summer, with his comeback to training penciled in for the end of this month. No chance he was getting called up, with that in mind.
  5. Christie called up again... this time v. Northern Ireland Sat 5th September.
  6. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/record-sport-online-transfer-centre-6278176 Raith Rovers have started talks to bring striker Serbian striker Marko Vukanovic to the club with the 20-year-old, who also holds Swiss Nationality, already familiar with the Scottish game after a trial period at Inverness Caledonian Thistle last season. Vukanovic started his career at the Lusanne Youth Academy and played for the Swiss under-17 side before playing for FC Baulmes and Yverdon-Sport in Switzerland ahead of a spell in Spain with Sabadell. Raith had Australian Anthony Costa and Swiss-Turk Onur Yaldiz in on trial recently however it is believed that talks with Vukanovic’s representatives are at an advanced stage.
  7. I'm pretty sure I heard on the Terrace Podcast or Tell Him He's Pele that El Bakhtaoui hadn't really played 11 aside football until the last couple of years, instead plying his trade in competitive futsal leagues.
  8. Twitter suggests Ferguson scored both

Portadown striker Darren Murray was also reportedly watched by Inverness scouts on Saturday.  Murray withdrew his transfer request on Thursday night but remains keen ona move into full-time football.  McFall is aware of Scottish interest, and has said he will not block a move to professional football.  “Darren has said he wants to play full-time football and I have told him the same as I have told every player in the squad; if an offer comes in from a cross-channel club then we will not price them out of a move.
  10. I was really impressed with Botti Biabi when he came on in the cup final, and felt he changed the game with his energy and 'chaos factor'. £700k is ridiculous though and I doubt he'll have signed for even half that fee... especially having only started a dozen or so games for Falkirk. I'd love to think that we'd get £1 million + for Ryan, but with less than a year left on his contract (apparently) I worry that we'll end up settling for the £600k or so that has been quoted in various newspapers/websites. Here's hoping he keeps banging in the goals and playing well in the upcoming weeks to bump that interest and valuation upwards!

£25,000 or there abouts to sign him apparently...

    Trialists

I was speaking to a player's mate yesterday who said that we have 2 trialists at the club this week. No idea who, but I see on Pie & Bovril Vigurs name is mentioned.
  14. I'm currently having my breakfast in Hawaii (on honeymoon), getting more anxious for the game as the minutes tick down...
  15. Can you get Radio Scotland access abroad, or is it blocked to overseas?
  16. Same happened on Friday v Deveronvale.
  17. Looking at google images, the guy tonight looked like him.
  18. Yeah that'll be him. Drat. He was a total bombscare.
  19. Oh Christ I hope that wasn't Wedderburn at LB!! He really reminded me of Djebi Zadi with his unpredictability and mistakes.

We had a CM and LB trialist tonight v Deveronvale. The LB was horrible and the CM pretty decent.
  21. Just home from sunny Banff, where there was absolutely no reception to do updates. Here's some ramblings on the game... Starting lineup had Esson in goals, with Horner RB, Warren/Devine CB and unkown trialist LB. Draper and another trialist CM, Roberts RM, Doran LM, Tansey ACM, JJ Hooper CF. We started really well, keeping possession at well over 90% ICT for the first 10 mins or so. We then got sloppy with several passes, leading to a Vale corner which they scored from - I think off the head of Horner for an OG. The game was then delayed by around 30 mins after the Vale RB broke his leg really badly leading to an ambulance taking him away. We scored soon after restarting with Doran getting the ball in the arc outside the penalty area and curling the ball into the corner of the net. We went 2-1 up with a cross from the right which was nodded in at the back post from Roberts. Polworth and McKay came on at HT for CM trialist and Esson. A 12 year old child came on for Roberts, with Jason Brown and another young defender replacing Devine and Tansey. In terms of how the new players played... LB trialist - Rotten, absolutely honking. Terrible in possession, naive when defending and was even penalised for a foul throw (after several which also should've been penalised). He went off in the last 10 minutes without being replaced by a sub, I severely hope it was because he was getting punted into a taxi! CM trialist - skilful and athletic, who played quite well in his 45min cameo. Not a position I would prioritise signings for but worth another look. Roberts - impressed by his movement and keenness to get involved. Very happy if he indeed signs. JJ Hooper - Absolutely anonymous. Bullied by an overweight, slow CB pairing. Poor first touch, no pace or strength and looked lost for most of the game.
  22. I get paid tomorrow, so will get my payment sent through in the morning.
  23. I'll sign up again, but it'll have to be the end of the month as cash is a bit tight until payday!
