  1. tomorrow 2pm.
  2. I wasn't at the game and am interested in the opinions of those that were. Given that the players were pretty poor for the first hour and Brewster then made changes which improved the performance (and subsequently attained the win), I really can't understand why some fans are calling for Brew's head!! I think most fans would agree that the basis of the squad is about as good as we can get (given finances, geographical constraints, etc, etc) so what is the beef with Brewster? The starting line up was reasonable and pretty much as expected, it wasn't working, Brew changed it and we eventually got the result! Hardly a sacking offence is it!? I don't wish to defend Brew blindly, but I do think that some fans have completely unreasonable expectations of what this club is actually capable of. And before anyone says "beating Morton in normal time" - I accept that, but...... the quality of players that we have will lead to inconsistency of performance at times. The important things is how the manager, and the players, react to that. Ultimately, the response last night was what was required! I don't need to post anymore, as Bush puts my feelings into words much better than I. Keep it up! :015: :D :thumb04: :018: ;)
  3. SMEE... start following the advice of your own signature.
  4. I never thought i'd agree with the opinions of a Bush, but agree I do; wholeheartedly!
  5. I'd rather....have Pele back in charge. Aye. Very good.
  6. So, what has he achieved exactly? Narrowly scraped through against second division opposition? Woop de doo. Then first division opposition in Morton. Ask Hibs, Hearts or St Midden if they'd swap places with us... Result is more important than the performance in this case I feel. Brewster picked a strong team, with a defence that fans have been crying out for. Makes a change that many also would agree with by taking off Rory early, and generally made a positive difference to the team performance from what I heard. Good on the team for getting through, let's raise the performance on saturday and make it a good week.
  7. We're not all turning into Aberdeen fans are we!!?? The game I was playing in tonight was also a shocker, so was hoping that the ICT score would keep my spirits up; gutting when I went over to my mobile to find we were 1-0 down. I actually had us to be 1-0 down at HT and 1-1 FT in the NPL, but changed my mind before going out Never mind, looking forward to the quarter final; where we'll no doubt get beat, but maybe get a little bit of coin in. Hope I get proved wrong though and we sneak into the semi final :thumb04:
  8. I just hope Rory proves he's worth a start. Strong midfield, but i'd of thought that Wilson or Vigurs would get a game; especially with Vigurs performance in the previous cup tie. How long till the Ian Black conspiracy theorists arrive... sori got wrong...blackie in n mcbain not in squad That won't deter them Any word on defence and gk? Heading out in 10 mins so hoping to find out before then...

  10. All set: - Radio Scotland on, so I can hear the team lineup before going off to football. - Dad agreed to text score updates, which i'll check every time i'm in goals. - Cheeky ?5 on an ICT win on the advice of a mate who saw Morton play on saturday... ?4 profit if it comes off.
  11. No dedicated coverage but I do believe that Sportsound will have the 'open mic' thingy on the go. Have to say I quite listening to it with random shouting in the background every so often. I've just remembered that i'll be playing football tonight, so i'll be relying on texts from family and friends to find the scores. Hibs supporting workmate is looking forward to returning the slagging he received for Hibs early exit to Morton. Although another mate was at the Partick v. Morton game and said we should have nothing to worry about; terrible up front and woeful at the back, despite having a defender with the continental ponytail look!
  12. I think Blak, Cowie and McBain may be rested, since they've played almost every game so far. Which would result in Vigurs, Duncan and maybe Wilson coming in? Would it be outwith the realms of possibility for Zander to start? Defence could have Duff coming back in alongside Munro, with Lionel coming in for Hastings. Proctor is still out, so guessing it'll be Rosscoe starting at RB Up front i'd expect it to be Wood and Rooney, since Barrowman is suspended; Brew isn't going to take this game lightly, so that'd probably be our best striking option at the moment. Rory will warm the bench again i'd expect, but in an ideal scenario i'd hope we'd go a few goals up and have the luxury to bring him on later for a 30 min cameo. Not entirely confident about tonight, but wouldn't be overly surprised if we win by a few. There's no dedicated radio coverage of the game is there? Or will it have to be a text update routine...
  13. Thats it. I'm fed up of us conceding the same goal every single time; "Long ball bounces over defence" In the last 2 or 3 seasons I've heard/seen that in games v. St Mirren; Partick; Aberdeen; Rangers; Hearts; Motherwell; Kilmarnock etc etc etc... Radio getting switched off. Going to watch the Ryder Cup instead and check on how my ?20 bet on Montrose winning is getting on with Jeff Stelling updates. Cheerio!!
  14. Happy enough with that team lineup. Not confident today, but if we win i'll definitely be Sky +'ing the BBC Alba game replay! I'd take a draw
  15. A similar story appeared in the summer. I'm really concerned that we will lose Black, Cowie and Fraser who are incredibly important to the future of the club. From what I remember as well, Munro is out of contract in the summer too?
  16. montrose please
  17. That's one thing I noticed in Esson's debut against St Johnstone... He communicates really well with his defence, encouraging when needed and rollicking where appropriate.
  18. Great to hear. A much needed confidence boost for quite a few of the boys who haven't been involved in the first team recently. I'd imagine the likes of Rory, Barry and Proctor might get a look in for the Morton game. Here's hoping Zander makes the most of any subs appearances that come his way, as I don't think he'll be starting anytime soon
  19. Score? Performance? Line up?
  20. With these price increases, and since this game is on tv, i'm going to guess that crowd figures will be around the 6k mark...
  21. Some will cheer. Some will clap. Some will choose to remain silent. Some will boo. Some will take it further and shout abuse. And afterwards various fans will complain about the actions/comments of others.

    BBC Alba

    Is it available on iplayer?
  23. He is a tool of the highest order and does seem to have a grudge against us.... However, I also feel we'll get beat tomorrow Really hoping i'm wrong though.
  24. Elgin v Annan draw @ 3.40
  25. Duncan and Proctor definitely out according to the P&J. Looking forward to see how Brewster lines up the team; as we have a lot of players pushing for starting places based on recent performances. Is Hastings playing another match tonight? As it's likely he'll be knackered upon his return = chance for Lionel, or maybe Roy moving back to LB?
