I'd offer him a 6 month deal, and see how he does...
  2. Fraser :003: :003: :003: One good save, let down by defence badly for goals. Tokely :003: :003: Poor game by his standards. Bad positioning and lax marking. Munro :003: :003: :003: Seemed to do ok, can't remember any mistakes. Proctor :003: Poorest game i've seen him have in a while. Beaten to the first ball in the air and on the ground too many times. Zadi: :003: :003: I can see exactly why the County fans were saying he's inconsistent. Hopefully confidence will improve along with first touch and distribution. Black :003: :003: :003: :003: Decent. Good distribution to the wings, but never seemed to move forward with the ball. Needs to attack if there is another defensive player like Duncan playing with him in center midfield. McBain :003: Never been a fan; and yet again I fail to see what he brings to the team. Awful as a center mid, unproductive as a left midfield, passable as a left back. Really really hope he doesn't start against the Dons. Time for Vigurs to take over from him. Evans: :003: :003: :003: Real hunger to chase down the ball and make an impression. Didn't do too much with it, but showed a glimpse of what he is capable of just before going off, when he took on the right full back. Wilson :003: :003: Started brightly, then faded. I've always thought he should never be let near a penalty. The only one i've ever seen him score confidently was in the BT advert, and I hear he needed a fair few takes!! Niculae :003: :003: :003: First touch was a class above. Unlucky with his chances. Really think we lost our attacking edge when he went off. Wood :003: :003: He must've grown a few inches last season as I thought it was Rory to start with. Could only play with back to goal since we went back to long balls, and felt he was being roughed about by the County defence. Still hope. Subs Cowie :003: :003: Tried to do too much at times. Especially with his run back to his own goal only to lose it and give a County forward a one on one. Could do better. Imrie :003: :003: :003: Terrible corners. But once he was back playing on the left he came into a game. Think he will have a fair few assists for Barrowman this season. Barrowman :003: :003: :003: Needs to out himself about more in the headers. Well taken goal and got into good positions. Looking forward to seeing him in the SPL McAllister :003: Unlucky with post, as it was a difficult chance. He's in the last chance saloon this season I think. Hastings :003: Worst game I've seen in a while from him. Defenitely shouldn't be playing center half. Sutherland :003: :003: :003: Good to see him pushing forward at every opportunity, shame most of those were on the break from his own half. Would like him to get 20 - 30 mins in at least one of the first couple of SPL games. Vigurs :003: :003: :003: Criminal that he's only on a one year contract. Wasted on the right midfield, much more effective on the left or in the middle. Cracking goal to add to a list of many cracking goals in the last 6 months. Would love for him to start against the Dons, but can't see it i'm afraid.
  3. Full story here: Broadcast Deal The Gaelic channel looks like it'll be for free. I take it The BT channel will cost to watch?
  4. Perhaps focus might be on us? And Celtic when it's the Rangers game being shown on Setanta? Would love to be able to watch a 90minute replay of an ICT win over Aberdeen, whilst Sky+'ing it to watch again and again :022:
  5. At today?s SPL AGM, the clubs agreed a deal with MNE Media, one of Scotland?s leading independent television production companies. The deal will mean that fans will be able to see full match coverage of one Clydesdale Bank Premier League match on BBC Gaelic every Saturday night over the next two seasons. BBC Gaelic is a new digital channel which will be launched on 19 September. It will be available, with no subscription required, via satellite and cable platforms. MNE Media will select one game from each round of fixtures as the feature match to be shown on an as-live basis around three hours after the final whistle. Their focus will be on matches which are not covered either live by Setanta Sports or on an on-demand basis by BT Vision. Lex Gold, Executive Chairman of the SPL, said: ?This is an interesting initiative and one that we hope will help make the new BBC digital channel attractive to viewers. TV coverage of this kind helps to sustain and build interest in the SPL and our clubs, not only today, but for the next generation of fans. ?Our broadcasting plans for next season are now almost complete and we?re pleased that we are able to provide enhanced coverage of the league.?

Totally forgot: Ryan Esson was best man at Russell Duncan's wedding. So at least he'll fit in straight away I suppose... I'd like to see him make an appearance against St Johnstone; not tonight though.

The Scotsman said he's signed, but there is no info on contract length/value. I'd imagine they are just putting 2+2 together and presuming he has put his signature on the dotted line. If he has signed, I guess he might get a run out at the weekend before the boys fly off to Denmark?

I would gladly part with ?100 for 90mins against the Caley players. The ex Elgin City player in me still thinks i could do a job :rolleyes02: Perhaps something like this could work?

I've spent 4 years shouting abuse at the guy when he had a Dons top on; this is going to be weird if he signs :017: Hopefully his wage demands will be low as at one point he would've been on a lot more than Mikey is on currently :33:

On North Tonight a minute ago it mentioned that Ryan Esson is up in Inverness for signing talks with us :024:

I've had pelters since 1994, from being an 11 year old ICT fan living in Elgin (later signing for Elgin City and receiving non-stop abuse), to my impending 25th birthday; having lived in Aberdeen for the last 8 years. But I wouldn't change my support for the world... The club has provided me with some of the greatest moments of my life; ones that I will remember always and look back on fondly. For that I am thankful. Whilst there are always improvements to be made on and off the pitch, I look forward to the many more years of happy times. You take the rough with the smooth as they say...
  12. Fuxake, I know we were playing two games 90 miles apart on the same day, but I thought our squad was stronger than that! Perhaps Charlie has the experience we are looking for up front?
  13. Me plus a Dons fan. First ICT game since the 3-0 win over Killie...
  14. ?10 adults, ?5 concessions on Tuesday. Looking forward to it :021: To be honest, there are quite a few home grown youngsters at Man Utd who will never make the Utd first team. I was at the Dons v. Man Utd game yesterday and a lot of the players e.g. Lee Martin, Chris Eagles, Danny Simpson will clearly never be a first team regular or even a first team squad player. Instead, Man Utd will sell them on for ?1million or 2, to lesser teams, which will make a bit of a profit on their investment. I'd like to see Evans get another chance, moreso because i'd like to see how he plays myself! Any word on if Marius is back pre-season training and will be included in the next 2 games? I've been away in Riga for a week, only getting back yesterday, so haven't seen any reports/newspaper articles....

Daily Ranger report INVERNESS manager Craig Brewster has taken Sean Evans on trial after the Wales Under-21 winger was recommended by Sir Alex Ferguson. The 20-year-old has just been released by Manchester United but Fergie has assured Brew the kid has the potential to play in the SPL. Brewster said: "I plan to take a really good look at him for a week and it's also vital he sees what we're all about here too. "He's only 20 but has been in the Welsh Under-21s, is quick and has a good pedigree. "When I brought another Manchester United kid, Michael Barnes, up here last season he did well for the week but I need someone with more first-team experience. "I spoke to Sir Alex and he said the boy has a chance. At United players must be of a certain pedigree right away - there is no time to just hope they will eventually bloom. "They can't afford to wait on young players who might take a little longer. "John Rankin is a classic example of a player who came through their system and took a step back but still went on to make a name in the game. Players develop and peak at different ages. "The lad is keen to come up and do well and maybe win himself a contract."

I'd like to think Brew has confidence in Kerr and Duff should injuries and suspensions hit us hard. They've looked accomplished when i've seen them, and a lot better with distribution than many of our first pick defenders!

  18. Glad we're casting the net wider. There also seems to be a lot of ICT youth players in Aberdeen from what i'm being told.

May I be the first to suggest a song or chant based around the phrase "Who's your Zadi!?"
  20. RossP replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Don't even go there! I said i'm surprised, not disappointed!!
  21. RossP replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
You know, I'm surprised Brewster brought him in when Richie Byrne is available for a free transfer :rolleyes02: Sounds like a very similar player!
  22. Lolland-Falster Alliancen or LFA is a Danish football club from Nyk?bing Falster on Falster. The club was founded as Nyk?bing Falster Alliancen (NFA), a merger between clubs B 1901 and B 1921. On June 18, 2006, their defeat to Lyngby Boldklub in the last game of the season clinched their relegation to the Danish 2nd Division East, after having spent 3 years in the next best league. However, they spent just one season in this league, and were promoted back to the first division after beating Kj?benhavns Boldklub 5-0 on June 3, 2007. Herf?lge Boldklub is a Danish football club founded in 1921. It is based in Herf?lge, a small town in the middle of Sj?lland. On 2007-02-27 the club agreed on an extraordinary general meeting a merger with K?ge Boldklub, to form HB K?ge. The merger was halted by the Danish Football Association in March 2007, due to a missed deadline. Because K?ge Boldklub got into financial problems in April 2007, the merger was abandoned.
  23. I look forward to your next inshiteful suggestion on who we should sign. Perhaps you should play a bit more Football Manager, so you can make some of these dreams a reality?
  24. I sit time to have a new forum for: PLAYERS RELEASED WHICH WE COULD/WOULD/SHOULD GO FOR?? It seems every day there is at least one player that is released, which then goes into our Rumour Mill, despite no interest/rumour being shown from us. And on Pinilla, not only is he more injury prone than Dargo and Markus combined, he has a really bad attitude, personal problems and a wage which could fund 2 or 3 Mariusshhess. Roll on the close of the transfer window to end these nonsense suggestions.
  25. Dunno about getting Maldini snr, but we should maybe offer a contract to his 5 year old son... Not many players can tackle Seedorf like this: Daniel Maldini
