  1. I purposefully took my ipod to the Dons game, to drown out the opposition fans songs and make the game a little more enjoyable (sic) Settled on some Swedish post-rock from Immanu El for the 90 mins, which made the game a little more atmospheric and more bearable! Thumbs up to Cash's cover of NIN's Hurt and Ben E King's Stand by Me.
  2. Reading on AFC-CHAT that away end is sold out and the ICT board have made 500 extra tickets available for them? If true does that mean they'll be in the uncovered section of Main stand? or the West 'stand'? I suppose... even if the story about extra tickets is untrue, there'll still be plenty of spare seats in the home support that Dons fans can occupy behind enemy lines.
  3. And no sign of Juanjo... not even on the bench!
  4. Bum. 1-0 Maloney. We were doing pretty well by all accounts before that.
  5. So is Robson playing Left Back for Celtic again?? As the only other midfielder on that line up that has played full back is Hartley, but that was at Right Back. Maybe it's a back three?
  6. Ha Cliff is my avatar in response to someone on the board (Smee?) thinking my positivity was akin to his sickly cheery nature. Along with dananananaykroyd i'll also stick Frightened Rabbit in the list of 2009 massive scottish bands. Their album 'Midnight Organ Fight' is very close to being my album of 2008. My prediction of Twilight Sad being massive in 2008 has fallen short a bit, but it's their own fault by screwing up their live lineup.
  7. I only caught the last 4 legs, but from what I gathered it was a classic match. Watched the entire tournament, apart from last night's match(s) and loved every minute. Going to the Lakeside is on my list of things to do before I die :thumb04:
  8. After seeing dananananaykroyd for the 4th or 5th time last night, I'm going to make the bold prediction that they will be one of the biggest bands in Scotland next year. Simply awesome!
  9. Best thing ever!
  10. Same team as the game against Hibs.
  11. You do know how he got together with his missus don't you?? Novo was taken in by a fellow player at Raith Rovers, so that Novo (who couldn't speak much English at the time) could get used to Scottish culture. Novo repays this player by copping off with his girlfriend, whilst still living at the player's house. Just check out his tackle in the 2-0 loss to Aberdeen last season, where he nearly decapitated someone... then as he's walking off does the whole kiss the badge and salute the Orcs routine.
  12. It was very VERY hard to give Lee Miller vocal encouragement!! "... regardless of the CLUB they play for". I don't like Lee Miller as a player or as a person that's why I found it hard to give him encouragement, Aberdeen FC has nothing to do with it!!!! I did find it hard to cheer him on, but cheer him on I did. Similarly if Nacho Novo played for Scotland i'd hate it; as I think he is an odious little cretin who is a cheat, thug and all round ned. Again, that'd be the reason for struggling to cheer him in a Scotland jersey. The fact that he plays for Rangers has nothing to do with it. Can't believe i've wasted time on an internet troll like you today. But bite I did and I am thankful that you can now understand this issue. If you continue to try and pick holes in my reasoning, then you are clearly a waste of oxygen.
  13. How do you work that one out? "Great to see Hutton and Ferguson back" was a clue. *sigh* Yep, I must be a Rangers fan in disguise for pointing out that 2 of SCOTLAND's best players were back in the International team after extensive layoffs. I couldn't care less which clubs the players play for; as once they pull on the dark blue Scotland shirt i'm supporting them regardless. I've spent most of my footballing life taking stick from Rangers and Celtic fans for supporting ICT and consider a large % of their fans to be scum of the highest order as a result. I'm now going to lump you in with them. Perhaps you must be a Celtic fan for revealing a paranoia of Rangers bias??
  14. Eh? Lee Miller has cost quite a few points for us (Inverness Caledonian Thistle) in previous seasons, due to his persistent diving; resulting in me having a particular dislike of him as a player and as a man. At what point does that make me a Rangers (?) fan?
  15. I'm feeling the effects a bit today.... as we got back to Aberdeen about 2.30am and I was back at work for 8am. Great time on the journey down as always. The match was alright, not an awful performance by any means. We had absolutely no cutting edge in attack for long spells, which is worrying for the likes of games against Iceland and Macedonia at home. Great to see Hutton and Ferguson back, and I was glad to see the likes of Iwelumo and Commons get another game as I feel both have a future at International Level. It was very VERY hard to give Lee Miller vocal encouragement!! Roll on the next game.
  16. I had no idea he was in the squad, as I hadn't been on this site for a few days. What a shock to see him in the starting line up! Good on him and i'll look forward to watching the rest of the match. 1-0 up by the way Hopefully this should act as a spring board to the likes of Vigurs and Wood for getting into the team...

    Josh Walker

Josh Walker to ICT Decent player... would be a handy replacement if the likes of Black or Cowie jumped ship. Just a rumour mind...
  18. Aye, thought Nish conned the ref a bit by falling over and dragging Hastings down with him, making it seem like he was pushed. My Hibs supporting workmate seemed to think otherwise however
  19. Been on a bit of a music binge... so bought albums by: - Audrey - Ef - Sun Kil Moon - The Get Up Kids - Most Serene Republic - Envy - Laura - Azure Ray - Frou Frou
  20. He should use the money to buy a less hideous ring
  21. The success of yesterday's lineup and formation brings some problems... Does Brew stick with the same lineup and team who performed so well? Or go for a 4-4-2 to attack? If he does go with 2 up front who does he drop? Either way I think he'll get stick from some fans for either changing the team or sticking with the same one.
  22. Saw the penalty save on Setanta.... world class!! Black's finish was also excellent
  23. I was pleasantly surprised at how much he was communicating with the defence in the pre-season game against St Johnstone, considering he'd only be at the club a few days. He also made a great save and was always looking for early balls forwards; essential to our counter-attacking style away from home. Glad to have him on board (something I wouldn't of said 4 years ago!)
  24. Looking forward to seeing the Hibs supporting staff and pupils on monday Being a Scotland and ICT fan has meant I've nearly forgotten what a win feels like!!
  25. Shame we couldn't get a clean sheet, as you never know how the goal difference will effect the end of season places. But if you gave me a 2-1 win before the day started i'd of bitten your hand off!!
