  1. Speaking of play of the year vote. Are we not having one for the county game
  2. haha I thought it was that sort of area. Thanks for the advice.
  3. The 2-2 draw away to Dundee. That is more than enough evidence that we have a decent team The 1-0 away win against Dunfermline. I dont care what anybody says about it being jammy. That is what good teams do. Hold steady when under pressure and hit them on the counter. We did it to perfection IMO They should be enough to show that we are more than a match for the teams in the division. We will always have an off day like any other team.
  4. I might as well as on here if anybody knows what the parking is like at Firhill?
  5. Nevermind there is no underground near Firhill and the ground is 2.2 miles away from the train station Go onto AA Route Planner and type it in and you will get all the info you need
  6. The nearest station is the main Glasgow one. Right in the Centre of Glasgow There might be an underground station close to Firhill I have no idea how far away it is. In fact I have no idea where it is. I will use my sat nav to get there I reckon you should get a taxi probably the easiest way
  7. Were you at the game yesterday? I only saw him make one pass to another ICT player. That was the only thing he did right. I dont agree with people booing him as he came off but I agree that he needs to get dropped for the next LEAGUE game not the cup game next week. As far as i am concerned it is all about the league so next week is the perfect opportunity to give him another go to try and bounce back which is what all of the players need
  8. Yeah I wont deny County were miles better than us yesterday. we were awful but I dont think that is what made county look good. County were equally as good as Caley were bad And we didnt have those players in the SPL that is how we managed to stay in that division for 5 years. Do you really think after getting relegated we would be able to keep the same players?
  9. I dont rate Rooney as a player at all but I wanted him on yesterday becuase we needed another striker up front, He reminded me why I dont rate him when he was one on one as well I will still sing his song at the games as well for the rest of this season. Are we not allowed to sing songs about our players even if they are not very good? Do you not think that would make him feel better to know that the fans are behind him? That is what suporters are supposed to do isnt it? Get behind the players to help them through the game and when they are struggling for example to find the back of the net which rooney is doing
  10. I completly agree with that comment and the other one you made about not being dissapointed in Butcher Apart from the Montrose game in the cups I cant see where we have struggled. Comfortably beating Annan, Albion and Stranraer. Yes against Stranraer and Albion we could have won by 7 or 8 if we kept playing with the same intensity we did in the first half but why would we. The game was over by half time and with important league matches coming up at the weekend why on earth would we go all out just to add a few goals and potentially risk our players getting injured. Apart from yesterday we have had a good season. We might have not got the result we wanted against Ayr but we got a point out of it. We are 4 games in and only 3 points behid first place. So is the 32 games to go? I think we can overturn a 3 point gap and get ahead in 32 games dont you?
  11. I would never boo somebody off the pitch while they are being subbed no matter how badly they played. Its not right to single him out like that while he is still on the pitch. By all means boo at the final whistle but not during the bloody game. I actually clapped him off the pitch yesterday. Probably the only one but I would rather get behind him and get his confidence up for the next time he is on the pitch rather than potentially ruin the lad. You can all see that he is a confidence player and getting booed of the pitch is never going to help him
  12. I reckon Duncan or McBain should come in for Stratford and yes we do need more experince but I dont think any player at our club as first hand experience of the First Division. Yes McBain, Duncan, Munro, Tokley etc played for us when we got promoted but the division has changed a hell of a lot since then and the only way we could get the right experience would be to buy people but we cant afford to. I still think the team is good enough and it is only 1 defeat. Every team is going to be getting beaten more than once this season. We are only 3 points behind. Try look at the brightside of it Were people not saying how badly county played after getting beaten 1-0 by Raith and look how they played yesterday. There is no reason why we cant play like that over the next few weeks
  13. I know that it was a county fan that started this thread but the fact that some people actually think he should go is embarrassing. He lost 1 bloody game and now people seem to think it is the end of the world. It makes me think that these people have only been to the 2 home games and yes we were poor but if you went to the away games you would quite clearly see that we have got players that will be able to win us the league Also it is stupid if anybody thought we were going to easily win this league. Every team in this league deserves to be here and so do we. One person said above that if it was not down to a jammy 1-0 win against Dunfermline we would be in the relegation zone. It is only because the goal was in the last minute that you are saying that. If it was in the 60th minute it would have been a deserved win. Well it was a deserved win. We held strong in defence and scored on the counter is that not what teams are supposed to do. Or since we are supposedly the best team in the league we need to win every game 3 or 4 -0. Well whoever thinks that is wrong. We cannot say that we are the best. We have no idea what any other team in this division is like. We cant compare our selves to any of the other teams because we dont have a clue. Rightly so as well because when we were in the SPL why would we be looking at the first division I cant believe people want Butcher gone after 1 defeat. It as laughable. Get a grip of your selves and actually try to give the team some support rather than complaining about meaningless things
  14. Have to take your word for it, couldnae hear the C(o)unty fans from the North Stand, thought it was good craic today in section G. Still, 1602 away fans is welcome in this league, far more than most SPL clubs brought. Anyway the only reason I'm not slitting my wrists is cos I was at Dundee last week- maybe if I had only seen the two home games I would be topping myself. I honestly thought even if Lionel was too poor for the SPL he would still make a decent job in div 1. He was gash today and I would punt him for Roy or Dick. I would never boo a player while the game was going on though. Eagle and Stratford proved for me today they haven't got what it takes. I would always have Duncan in the team and I cannot believe the stick he takes from some people on here. Apart from his workrate, he bleeds ICT. I heard Imrie is not ready to come back for a couple of months, is this true? Cox was simply swamped by the wee team playing 5 in the middle. He's a good find. So is wee Jonny but he will have better days than today. I think Foran is fine but Sanchez was gutless. He did play well against Dundee but today it would be as well if we had Barrowman or brought back Rory as a trialist for all Sanchez did today. With Rosscoe coming back next week (surely!!!!!) I would be tempted to move Proctor forward and switch Jonny to the other wing, like what happened at Dens. I'm truly not sure about Bulvitis, I thought he was solid before. Give the wee village team their due, they well deserved their 3 points today. We never started and ten minutes later they scored. I honestly can't think of a worse first half, ever. So many 'what ifs' in the game for me, but overall we looked too nervous and tried to pass it into the net. The spell we had between their second and third goals, we actually had them on the ropes and Vigurs cleared off the line at 2-1 which would have turned the game. Then LDZ made another schoolboy error and it was game over. But no hard feelings, they were better by a mile for the other 70 minutes. C(o)unty were dire last week while we were good and Adams has got them fired up. With P*rt*ck winning 5-0 today, maybe it will be our turn to get them on the rebound next week. And I'm sure we can reverse it at Dingwall in November - the boot will be on the other foot then. Yeah I am only looking at it as its only one game. We are so much better away from home. Dundee we were very good. More of that and less of today is what is needed
  15. I would feel exactly the same as you if I had only been to the home games. They play so much better away from home
  16. Well just want to point this out jaggie1994 it wasnt against all 1st division clubs yeah I know but it did have Dunfermline and Dundee away. 2 of the strongest teams in the division. It may be against weaker opposition mostly but we still did a job against them comfortably apart from the Montrose game
  17. Yeah their is a supporters bus. Im really glad it is in Glasgow because it means that I am going to stay the night after the Scotland game to go to the Partick game but after watching todays performance that could end up being one of the worst weekends of football ever watched. I was in the main stand and trust me when I say this the County fans were way louder that the North Stand and you could hardly hear the home fans sadly As already stated I was singing. NS never hear the main stand. There is a bus going down according to the programme. I'm sure we'll take a good support down. Yeah I know you said that you were singing and I am glad you did I just wish there would be most people singing. The Main Stand will never sing as that would be too positive for them. They only concentrate on the negatives
  18. So are we going to say every player and staff needs to go now. Butcher signed him yes but im sure he wont be scared to drop him He is the Assistant Manager of Scotland for god sake him must have something about him dont you think? He is a good manager and I dont understand after one defeat yes it was against our rivals but still it was only 1 defeat we are saying he is going to have to do something to get it sorted. Was the 6 games without defeat before that not enough to show that he is doing something right
  19. Yeah their is a supporters bus. Im really glad it is in Glasgow because it means that I am going to stay the night after the Scotland game to go to the Partick game but after watching todays performance that could end up being one of the worst weekends of football ever watched. I was in the main stand and trust me when I say this the County fans were way louder that the North Stand and you could hardly hear the home fans sadly
  20. I take it the original poster of this thread has not been to all of the games this season then If you have you must have been watching different games to me. The new signinga have been looking good this season bar Stratford and Eagle possibly Sanchez (though you can tell he should be a good player whan he toughens up) We had 6 or 7 new signings in that team today. Im sure they still hardly know eachother. They will need time to gel into a team I know it will take a while but just because of one terrrible performance you cant start saying the whole team is crap and all the signings have been rubbish You need to give them time to gel and take this one hopefully as a very bad day at the office
  21. nope cant defend any of his performances. I have always been unsure about him and today has confirmed that he is crap
  22. yeah i know they didnt give us much to shout about in the first half but do you not think that if we had been singing and shouting from the first whistle that would have made our players feel more confident knowing that we were behind them and going to give them the support that they need They need us just as much as we need them
  23. We havent played mediocrily and poor in the games up to now. I will give you the Ayr game that was poor but we were playing very well against Dundee and did well against Dunfermline even if as some people say we scored a lucky last minute goal but its the best time to score a goal no way for the other team to come back. I honestly think we will be better away than at home and I think that it must have something to do with the supporters. Maybe not the people on this forum but the others in the Main Stand are just moody *****. They offer no support whatsoever it is all negative. It we score a goal but it was a fluffed shot that somebody got onto the end of and put in the back of the net Im sure they would rather have a pop at the guy that fluffed the shot than celebrate the goal I dont see the point in them going to the match just to have a bloody good moan. We will be better away from home becuase the fans actually want to be their and will give as much support as they can rather than just sit their and slag somebody off for the one and only thing they did wrong Even if today performance was bad (ok a hell of a lot worse than bad) we should still be trying to sing songs and find the positives to get behind the team to push them on becuase it would make on hell of a difference to a game Maybe not if it started in the second half of todays game nothing would have made that much of a difference but at the start of the game it would have made a hell of a lot of difference. Just think back to the start of the match. How do you think the two different teams would be reacting. The County lads would be even more pumped up at the sight of their fans singing and dancing away and that would make them want to give that little bit extra, now the Caley players when they know (and im sure they know by now what it is going to be like) that the first thing they do wrong they will get slaughtered for, They wont take risks that could win a match they dont want to be slagged they want to be loved by the fans. At half time it was clear that Munro was pissed off with the fans. When he and the rest of the team were walking off the park they were getting abuse thrown at them and just before Munro went in the tunnel. He threw his arms up and shouted get behind us then and he was bloody right. The players want us to get behind them not to slag them off. I know I have said this alot but it is bloody true It really does make that big a difference to games even though it shouldnt becuase they are proffessionals but they are human and you always feel a hell of a lot better when people are singing about you (nice things) and that will give you confidence which we were quite clearly lacking today For those of you at the aways games this year you will have seen how much the players appreciated the support that we gave. We have to do that at home Anyway Whos going to Partick next week. If you are Ill see you at the ground
  24. That is one of the worst games of football I have ever watched. I had a go at the fans for booing at the Ayr game but they had every right to do it today that was awful. I think the booing of Lionel everytime he got the ball was harsh though. Yes he was crap in fact one of the under 11's on the pitch at half time would have done a better job but we should still have been trying to get behind him and pick his confidence up not ruin the guy anymore. I reckon he should still be in the team next week just because it is a cup game and if he hasnt improved he should be out for the Morton game We might be 7th in the league but some of you will have to remember we are only 3 points behind 1st. In this league you dont need to worry what position we are in but how many points behind we are because it is going to be very tight for the whole season Esson - I dont think you could blame him for any of the goals. Maybe the first but who the hell was marking the guy he had the whole 6 yard box to himself Proctor - Crap in the first half but I thought he made a good impact on the second half and was surprised to see him come off. It should have been Lionel Munro - **** back to the way he was in the SPL. Looked lost Bulvitis - I actually thought he played pretty well in the second half but was like everyone else in the first half and just dire. One of the few players that would get over a 5/10 if that was how I was rating it Djebi Zadi - It is hard to put into words how bad he was so if I was giving marks out of 10 it would have been 0.00000000001/10 Eagle - One of our best players today didnt really do much but when he had the ball he did ok Stratford - What the hell was he doing on the pitch. Did nothing no tackles every pass was either out of the park or behind the man which put an end to the attacks. He has never been impressive this season and today shows he has been a bad signing Cox - It didnt help him that Startford was so bad he had no support. One of the few that gave 100% but that is not enough. He didnt win enough tackle's and was just not good enough Hayes - He scored and looked dangerous when he took on his man but didnt do anything in the first half so he was only ok Sanchez - Just as bad as Lionel I reckon his first touch put the ball about 5 yards away from his body every time. Should have been subbed at half time (but then so should have most people) Foran - I felt sorry for Foran today. He was the one player that really looked like he knew what the game meant but when you only get balls launched up to you to try and flick on you cant do much. He wanted balls played down the line so he could run onto them but they never came. Flicking tha ball onto the county defence was all he could do. We need to give him the service because 2 or 3 times he showed that he can get into dangerous areas and get some decent crosses in Rooney - I was actually pleased to see him come on which was a great surprise to myself but he soon reminded me why I dont want him on the pitch. when you are through on goal like that and when you are 2-1 down you have to bloody score in the end he didnt even trouble the keeper that much. It was a comfortable save Ross and Duncan didnt have enough time to have an impact I have to give credit to county though they were miles ahead of us and deserved to win by 5 or 6. They gave us a lesson on how to play football and I just hope we learn something from it
  25. I have an idea for you pal, lose some weight and you might get a few more fans into the seats you take up! Ohhhhh bet that really offends him, think you will find our end was basically filled bar one section. Your support was just embarrasing for an 'SPL' club :( We arnt an SPL club as you could ******* see today were are clearly an SFL team but you are right about out support it was ****
