  1. Bloody hell. If you are going to rant about somebody can you do it about somebody who played badly. He is one of the few who looks like he gives a toss about what happens. as for his bandage. You kind of need that when you have lots of blood running down the back of your head

NO Yes they were. They were shouting abuse at him for most of the match not from what i could here!! So as far as you are concerned Butcher just turned around to the crowed and told them to f**k off just for the sake of it? He turned aroung to try and get the crowd to make some noise and he got slated for it. Thats why he said it. As well as the fans having a go throughout the match as well

A few times he pointed to 2 or 3 people and said it and then eventually he said all of you can jus F off as well The players have just as much responsiblilty as the manager does. He needs them to show passion and have a good work rate which most of them were lacking
  5. A few of them were shouting abuse at him right from the start of the game. At 1-1 he tried to geee the crowd up in the way players do by lifting his arms up and down but the fans took that the wrong way and a few started booing and shouting more abuse. So butcher told them to F**k Off. I would probably have done the same thing after trying to put up with getting abused for 90 minutes
  6. The only thing I dont agree with in that is about Duncan, He played a lot better than normal. He was passing the ball fairly well and threw himself into a few tackles. It was a big improvement from him. Ross Tokley was ***** on the other hand
  7. He did tell the fans to F**k off. It was not unprovoked though. Would you not tell people the same if they had been shouting abuse at you the whole game. I know I would have. Im not trying to say that Butcher is doing a good job. He's not but I dont disagree with what he said to the fans
  8. Ah right, so it's the fans fault. I never said it was the totally the fans fault but they should not be shouting abuse at the manager when it was only 1-1. I think apart of it is the fans fault though. They spend more time moaning at the game than they do trying to support the team and get behind them. When you are struggling at games as a player you need to know that you have the support behind you to give you confidence to go on and get a goal not thinking if they make a mistake they will get hounded out It can work the other way round as well. The fans need to be given something to shout about but in this game for example at half time it was looking fairly good for us. We had dominated the first half and had got a way back into the game. We needed to build on it in the second half and thats where the fans can help Im not for a second trying to defend the players as most of them in the last half hour had no desire to try and get the ball forward. It looked like they really didnt care about the result. Apart from Hayes, Foran, Cox and Duncan everybody else looked as if they couldnt give a dam
  9. We dominated the first half. we had a slow first minute to the game were we fell behind but the next 44 mins were fairly good to watch (not for quality but because we were on top). Hayes strike was brilliant and we had a few chances but nothing clear cut. The second half started well but by 55 minutes Queens were getting to every ball first won all of the 50/50s and in the end deserved the 3 points. Im surprised nobody has brought this up yet but what the hell was wrong with Ross Tokely. He wouldnt mark his man, actually he let his man run off him at every opportunity and never made an effort in the second half to try and get back to make up for his mistake. It was his stupid tackle that gave the freekick away to give Queens the second goal. It was a defensive performance that was up their with Lionels best. Even the players and Butcher were telling him to sort it out. I know he has just come back from injury but if that was a problem he should have said that he wasnt fit enough to play I have been trying to defend Butcher for the past few weeks but there is no point doing that anymore. 4 home games and 1 point that says it all. We are not getting promoted this season so he has failed. End Of The people who sit in the main stand (not including me) are a disgrace as well. They spent more time telling Butcher how to do his job and shoutung abuse at him as soon as we went 1-0 down. When we were 3-1 down I could understand why but not when we were drawing 1-1 and trying to get a goal. They should try support the team and not abusing the manager. Butcher turned round to the crowd and shouted and lifted his arms up a few times to try and get the crowd to make some noise but all they did was boo him for Butcher pretty much telling them the players need no support. He eventually told a few of them to F**k Off. Quite rightly I feel, If you cant take it dont give it and Butcher has every right to say it back just because he is the manager dosent mean he cant say anything back All in all. It was crap Im not looking forward to going to Raith on Tuesday any more
  10. I wouldnt want Robbo back. For the same reason I didnt want Brewster back. You never re-appoint a manager that has been successful in the past. Just because he did it then does not mean he will do it now. You have to bring somebody fresh in and I dont know who would want the job. I get the feeling Butcher wont be here much longer. Especially after the way the fans in the mainstand were on his back the whole game. It was a disgrace they spent more time moaning and giving Butcher abuse than they did trying to support the team while we were looking for a winner. No wonder Butcher told the to "**** Off" during the game
  11. I put stay as he is. Mainly because I dont know how much time the Scotland job takes up of his time (during every week not the ones that Scotland have matches). If he has lots of jobs to do for Scotland every week he should quit and concentrate of ICT thats the most important thing. Or for him where his reputation will be made
  12. I hope they dont get booed. They are both legends and I would love them still to be at the club now. Wilson was at the County game on Sunday. Maybe he is trying to become a scout rather than a coach
  13. It was only the semi though. Even if it was against our rivals people will find much more attraction in going to a final even if it is 2 and a bit hours away. Also we have quite a lot of fans from down south and I reckon the majority of them didnt bother making the journey up (fair play to the ones that did) so they will all be going to the game as well. Look at Burnley in the play off final last year. They had an average attendance of about 14000 last season at home but in the final they took about 40000 fans. I know there was a lot more at stake but it is the same principle. I think we will be able to take more fans down than tickets we have available
  14. Thats a load of crap. I was expecting it to be 50:50 at the start I wouldnt expect us to fill 2 stands worth of tickets but any unsold tickets could have been given to Dundee with a couple of weeks to go until the game if it looked like there would be loads of empty seats in the Inverness end
  15. This is probably a stupid idea but I will say it anyway Would it not be better if you didnt get given a specific seat to sit in when your buy your season tickets or a one off ticket. eg you would buy a season ticket for the North Stand but you could sit anywhere you liked. So the fans who wanted to shout, sing and give abuse to the opposition, refs etc could all sit together and the fans who dont like this would see where they are sitting and get as far away as possible? This wouldnt work for some games if they were sold out but in the first division I cant see us selling the ground out. It would just be like when we had the terracing when we were last in the First Division Personaly I love singing songs and generally giving the opposition abuse as for me that is what going to the football is all about because we arnt exactly going to see quality and entertainment are we? I dont sing or shout at the home games becuase if I did I would just get shouted down like what is happening to the people in section G but if the club were to sort something out and let them all have a laugh and generally do what they like in terms of singing and calling people gypsies I would be over there in a shot I have been to all the League games this season and the Dunfermline and Dundee games were both brilliant. If we could recreate that at TCS it would be epic. For those of you who were at those games you would have seen how much the players and backroom staff appreciated it and I think it makes a massive difference to the players if they know that they will have the support of the fans throughout the 90 mins and not every single mistake will get moaned at which is what seems to be happening now
  16. I think this is a good idea. I like collecting badges of the nations that I go to see when they are playing Scotland so normally I would buy this but it does look like it is going to be quite large and the colours make it look like a Dundee Badge
  17. Do you think that Mike Smith is actually a gypsy and is not wanting the truth to come out? This is the type of nonsense that puts me off going to Caley games. The big wigs at the club are just complete idiots Its all just a bit of banter and is all forgotten about at the end of the game. Has any fan ever been offended by some songs that the opposition have sung? I very much doubt it
  18. Esson Proctor Bulvitis Munro Shinnie Ross Cox Hayes Foran Sanchez Rooney Just based on the last 20 mins of todays game. We managed to cause them a fair few problems. I changed it too 4 at the back though becuase we would be far too vulnerable to the counter attack. Since its a cup game (even if it is against County) we should expirement a bit to see if a more attacking style would work better for us at home
  19. I think the worst thing about this game is that we were not that bad. We fell apart for 5 minutes but apart from that we were fairly comfortable. However we never looked like scoring in the first half and we still didnt look like scoring untill we got the pen (which was a stone waller). The last 15 mintues we dominated and we just never got the bounce of the ball in the box. Ryan Esson did well in the second half and kept us with a glimmer of hope. But if you are wanting to win the league you cant afford to play ok at home and then concede 3 goals within 5 mins. We should have won that today so it is a shambles that we didnt I would love to make excuses that we can still win the league as the players are still gelling together but I dont think we can win the league cos if you cant win 3 home games in a row against none of the big teams in the league (if you want to call them that) is unacceptable. I was glad at the start of the match to see Stratford and Eagle out of the starting 11. What was wrong with Golly?. Nick Ross didnt get much of a chance to shine in the first half but he grew into the game and was playing really well just before he was subbed. Duncan did better than Stratford but he was at fault for the second goal and needs to try and take more time when he has the ball. Shinnie I thought was pretty good in all for his first league start. He could be a good player in the future (that also shows how much Butcher has lost faith in Lionel) Bulvitis was a shambles as well today. He always seemed to be passing the ball to the Partick Attackers We will need to get so much better if we are going to even challenge for the title but after 7 games I now have come to accept that we will not be getting promoted this year
  20. Im not too bothered about the result but at least we managed to get it into extra time away from home against a SPL side and you could argue that it is not our best starting 11. Dont have any complaints about what he is doing. If there is ever time to experiement it is in a game that we are not expected to win and if we do get knocked out its not going to be that big a deal considering the opposition. But now we are in extra time I reckon we can get a result. If it goes to pens we have penalty saving expert Ryan Esson
  21. Yeap... two stupid Michael Fraser goals which turned out to be very costly indeed... Can you no just let sleeping dogs lie John? Every opportunity that comes along you use it to slate Mike Fraser and TB for 'dropping' Esson last season. If I were you I'd ask this question: Was there a clause in someones contract that said he had to have x number of starts and was that the reason he was favoured for the last few games of the season? :023: I wish I could make this one but I'm stuck offshore but fingers will be crossed. Never heard the likes before . That does happen quite a lot these days. Im not sure if it happened with Mikey Fraser but there could have been something like that in his contract
  22. I thought Rooney did very well when he came on. Barrowman put some effort in but he had one chance to whip a cross in and it went out for a goalkick which pretty much showed his ICT career in one move
  23. I don't, not anymore. I was actually quite keen on bringing Butcher in before and when his name was being touted both before and when Brew was booted out, but now I wish someone else had gotten the job. If Butcher was the man for the job, he'd have kept ICT in the SPL. Did he do that? No. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've tried to keep the best players, especially the best younger ones that ICT had. Did he do that? No. Vigurs played about 10 minutes during Butcher's first game and then disappeared. Duff seems to be another one who was one for the future and a decent player just now but seems to have disappeared under Butcher. He now has a bad injury and I won't be at all surprised if he's the next one out the door, with this injury possibly being the excuse. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've made some decent signings. Has he done that? No. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've offered a very capable player a contract. Did he do that? No. Pavels Mihadjuks was a very capable centre-half from the little I saw of him and was very highly thought of by the fans. He was also a capable player in a position where ICT had desperately needed a capable player in that position, since the departure of Darren Dods. Whether he would've signed it or not is one thing, but not to even offer him one was madness. If Butcher was the man for the job he'd have a proven record at other clubs showing how good he can be. Did/Does he have a capable record? No. Observe - Sunderland - SACKED. Coventry City - SACKED. Motherwell - Finished bottom in his first season, and was only saved by Brockville. He may have finished 6th and 8th in the coming seasons ahead, but would he have kept his job had Falkirk had the capablities to replace Motherwell, the team that should have been relelgated? Perhaps not. Sydney FC - SACKED. Brentford - SACKED. Do you see a pattern arising here? Doesn't even look like a mediocre record to me, rather a pretty poor one. And last and certainy not least, if Butcher was the man for the job he would've gone into the final game of the season, the relegation decider and the most important game in ICT history, playing a simple and steady formation and team selection. Did he do that? No. He played Tokely out of position at centre-half, and played Mihadjuks, a very capable centre-half at right back, a position he had never played before. Utter madness. One things almost certain in my mind now though, and that's that ICT will probably not be in the SPL next season and should that be the case, I highly doubt that Butcher will not be here next season, should ICT not be promoted. As ICTKev said we have lost one game this season and some people are calling for the managers head. What the hell type fans is that. Who on earth would call for somebody who has lost 1 game in 10 to be sacked. Who carse if we have not been playing well. Good teams get results when they are not playing well which is what we are doing. When it all come together and we do start playing well we will be in a good position. He might have let some youngsters go but what about Ross, Shinnie, Sutherland, Morrison. He has taken them onto the team and we were always going to have to offload some players to try and balance the books and he has made his choices on who he thinks has the most potential I think we must be expecting him to put a man on the moon if we are calling for him to go now. I know we got relegated but you have to forget about that now and look about what he has done this season and although some of the perfromances have been dire there are things to be positive about.
  24. Raith and County will fall away. Raith will be down the bottom but will stay up and I reckon County will finish 4th or 5th. I think both of sets of fans will openly admit that they wont be winning the league but are just going to enjoy it while it lasts I think we are still gelling as a team as after all it is only 6 games but Duncan and McBain need to come in for Stratford and Eagle. If we can keep in touch with Dundee, Dunfermline, Partick and maybe even Queens while we are still gelling we will hopefully come into our own and scrape ahead of them It will still be a hell of a challenge and it is not going to be pretty but I think we have seen that on our day we can be the best in the league. I just hope it is going to start beinf "our day" more often than not
  25. My name is not Fergie you cent. Yes, keep it how it is, keep improving, watch the young lads getting fitter, better and more consistent - and walk the League. What have you been sniffing? I would like some of it I normally would say that we need to give it time but we do need to change the midfield. Take Stratford out and put Duncan in and then have McBain on the left for Eagle untill Imire gets back. With all of their SPL experience they should easily be able to do a job in the first division I reckon Butcher is still the man for the job but he does need to make a few changes. I am trying to look at the positive side of yesterday and say that we took a point when we deserved nothing
