  1. I thought Duncan has played very well the last 2 weeks. I thought he had done well in the weeks before that as well but even better recently. With the comments Butcher made about Rooney I must be looking at it differently than everybody else. I thought he was saying that he has always had confidence even when he was not playing and now he has taken his chance when he has started games and he is saying Barrowman is feeling the same way (without starting games).
  2. I would be very dissapointed in the people who are not on the sesh
  3. 10 points out of the last 12 available. Are we the team with the best form in the league just now?
  4. Got to be the same again. You should be put into a mental hospital if you think it would be a good idea to change the team
  5. Just back from the game and it was another excellant performance. Just like the Ayr game. We were more clinical in the Ayr game but we created a bucket load of chances today. You could tell that the players were loving it after we went 4-1 up. It was a joy to watch. And what about the Rooney's finishing for the first and second goals. They were brilliant. A man full of confidence. I have been a critic of his but what a performance today, If he can keep playing like that I dont see many people being able to stop him scoring. Everybody was very good today. If I had to pick people out for specific praise obviously Rooney along with Foran, Imrie, Sanchez and Hayes when he came on. Our front 4 work really well together and if we keep playing the same system we will always creat lots of chances and with the form of Rooney I wouldnt bet against us taking most of them. We are flying just now and if I were a County player/staff/fan I would be very worried about next week. We are going there with a point to prove after the last league game and we are the form team in the league. Bring it on
  6. Maybe we are :) You know what they say. Great minds think alike
  7. penalties to decide a cup game wouldn't be included, he has scored 2 in the league and 2 in cups, for the truest goal scoring figures you would have to find out how many minutes has been played divided by goals as a %, as you could be a sub and come on for 2 mins or most of the game.Or start and then be subbed. If he could put the ball in the back of the net for every chance that he gets, he would be worth more than Wayne Rooney. Even Torres doesnt put the ball in the net every chance he gets He did on Sunday :) I think that people including me get pissed off with him because this season he has had quite a lot of one on ones and has missed most of them. People only comment on the negatives and ignore the positives (evidence is some of the thrads on here) so that me be a reason he has taken some criticsm. If we continue playing this formation I dont see why he cant get lots of chances. Lets just hope he can take them
  8. He has a bucket load of pace and looked quite promising in the SPL last year. Dropping down a division could be perfect for him. He is definetly untried but he offers something different up front with his pace. Something that we dont have up there.
  9. Christ, I shall never touch that stuff again, the Devil's drink. Got a bottle sitting in my drawer with just one spoonful out of it. Using a spoon was your mistake. Just take the top of, tilt your head back and pour. And people ask me why me eyes are like this. I did that. :) It was horrid stuff. I like your portrait btw. I dont think you realise how close his portrait is to his actual face, scary stuff. You wont miss him on the train! As for there being no seats available, i imagine that people were forward thinking and booked in advance so you might just have to stand or get to the train really early and try and find an unreserved seat. Sounds like the train from sneck is going to be a party train! What train is it that has no seats availible? Me and some other boys are on the 9.38 train and there are a few others wanting to go on the same train. Its not that train as I just bought a ticket for that one this afternoon
  10. I went down to the stadium and got my ticket today. I will probably go through on the Train but have not decided yet
  11. Has anybody got a link to the website where you can buy the tickets for the game?
  12. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells *still trying to think of something* Our home form stinks, We hate the tinks And we can only win away!!!
  13. How many people can we get in the away end? :(
  14. Inflatable sheep ? Where can i get one of those bad boys? Probably the Joke Shop in the Victorian Market
  15. He's only scored against small teams in the cup(except partick) Where as Rooney has scored against Ayr and a penalty against Queen of the South Sanchez ahead of Rooney everytime To be fair, they've both scored 2 league goals. Rooney has only started 2 games compared to Sanchez's 8. Personally I think their is room for both in the team I think Sanchez offers more than just goals as well. I think he set up 3 of the goals yesterday he changed the game against Raith and got us those 3 points. He is that bit of class that can wins you games. He has the vision to build attacks and chose the right ball He isnt good when he does not have time in the ball which is a bit of a problem in this division (especially at home) where you dont get a lot of time at the ball. He probabl suits the away games more as he will get more space to do his stuff Rooney doesnt offer any of that. For the most part he can finsih (he did do well yesterday), he doesnt have a lot of pace, he could possible be a target man and hold the ball up but he needs to get stronger. For me Sanchez can offer much more to the team than Rooney Your right their probably is room for both of them in the team just now. I think Rooney and Odiambo will be fighting for a place when Eric is fit I dont see where Hayes can get back into the team either if Foran and Imrie keep playing so well
  16. He's only scored against small teams in the cup(except partick) Where as Rooney has scored against Ayr and a penalty against Queen of the South Sanchez ahead of Rooney everytime
  17. It wouldnt be a bad position to be in if we knew that we could go on a run of 7 or 8 games and possibly getting maximum points. I think once we win the first game at home we can hopefully get that monkey off our back and start making some real progress in this league. I think this is going to be the best chance of getting on a run. We should get 3 points against Morton. I dont care how we get them. As long as we do get them
  18. and is Sanchez not still our top goalscorer?
  19. Rooney scored a great goal yesterday but after that I thought he was back to his usual self. He is definetly lacking pace. If he was able to get himself a bit stronger I reckon he would play very well as a target man and holding up the ball. He showed signs yesterday of being able to do that well but most of the time I thought that the defenders were stronger than him As for Foran I think we have to play him on the wing. When was the last time you heard of somebody score a hat trick from out wide. I think it was more the Ayr defenders could not cope with him. He was brilliant
  20. Im not really sure tbh. Everytime our defenders got the ball Foran and Imrie were all over the Ayr full backs so it was pretty much a 4-2-4 when we had the ball at the back. I it was definetly a much more attacking style and possibly a little more freedom was given to the players but there was still a lot of structure to the formation. We were never in danger of getting caught on the counter and were very solid at the back. There was still a lot of structure to the way we played but I think the "flair" players in our team were let of the leash so to speak
  21. Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golly Imrie Proctor Duncan Foran Sanchez Rooney The same team as yesterday. There is no way after that performance that you can change it
  22. If they dont vote for Foran (which i did) it would have to be Imrie. They were by far the best players on the pitch. Nobody came close to them
  23. That was a great performance. For the first 25 minutes everytime we took a shot it just seemed to go in the back of the net. It was fantastic to watch. Ayr never deserved their goal. It was just a shocking mistake from Esson but I hope that his confidence does not get too dented as in the end it never mattered. For the formation I am fairly sure it was still a 4-4-2. Foran and Imrie were on the left and right wings (switching about every so often) with Rooney upfront and Sanchez playing in the hole just behind him. I think that Foran is by far at his best on the wing as well as Imrie. They were unstoppable. They never stopped running. I cannot praise them enough I thought everyone was brilliant today especially the support. Dougie Imrie songs seemed to be getting blasted out every 5 minutes. As well as the songs about not want to play at home anymore (and who can argue with that?) This is just the type of performance that could change our season. I know it was against a very average Ayr side but we blew them away in the first 25 minutes and after that there was no need to press the issue anymore so if we had kept up the pace from the first half hour the score could have easily been doubled I am just really hoping we can keep it up next week. I dont think there is a better team to be playing against either. Morton were gash when we played them so we really should beat them and if we play the same team as yesterday I cant see why we might not score 5 again well if the crowd get behind the team or maybe just stop being so negative
  24. I saw a replay of it on sky sports and just before the goal Reina saw the beachball on the pitch so he went and put it in the back of the net. The wind blew the ball back out at the same time sunderland were starting the attack that led to the goal so Reina never got another chance to kick it away Still a stupid liverpool fan. We never deserved the 3 points anyway but things could have been so much different
