  1. Its all well and good to say that but we have now said that the last few weeks Sitting 3rd in the league, approaching April, and people still find something to be negative about. Im not being that negative but we have had a few weeks now where we could have guaranteed a top 3 finish but we have blown it twice and we don't have an easy run in. United are in awful form so i am still very positive that we will finish the job for the European spot but we cant keep giving them encouragement of not getting further ahead
  2. Its all well and good to say that but we have now said that the last few weeks
  3. Dundee Utd getting gubbed again so if we can that goal then it will be a great day
  4. well Celtic doing there job 1-0
  5. it seems we are playing 3 centre backs with 2 wingbacks and marley up front on his own
  6. Although it would be good to get as many as possible as Davie says to swell the coffers I think a smaller crowd can be just a loud and effective as a larger crowd with less people getting involved in the atmosphere.
  7. I think we will take a decent crowd I think County had about 5-5500 in their Semi final against Celtic in 2010 so I would be happy with that but if we could aim for the smae numbers we took in our last semi final in 04 and last seasons LC final then I would be delighted. If we get to the final I think we could defo take over 10,000 and as people have said County got a brilliant final crowd which had some of us and other neutrals swelling the crowd. Yes we would all like to fill out the Longman every week and comfortably taking 20,000 and above to these occasions but we don't so whatever the number is I am sure they will be loud in their backing to give this team the support it deserves to become sucessful
  8. Usually the Celtic semi finals have been a Sunday but closer to 2 o clock than any early ko so we could get a Sunday half 2 for example which I would be happy with but then it doesn't bother me I can go whatever the time and day but I hope the suits make a sensible decision so as many Caley fans can get in and support the team as possible.
  9. As far as the BBC had it Rig we played a 4-4-2 diamond with watkins alongside Ofere which would explain the lack of width
  10. we need to get a goal we are dominating but we cant score at the moment
  11. I think though to add another issue do Fifa and Uefa allow leagues to carry on when there is a major tournament which would scupper our TV deal.
  12. Yes i am disappointed that we didn't get an easier tie if we win on Tuesday but if we are going to win it it will be likely we would have to beat Celtic for it whether that be semi or the Final itself. Of course United could still go through and then I feel we are the favourites but I don't fear Celtic and nor should anyone who supports Caley. They will have a much larger backing than us but we have beaten far better Celtic sides than this and they have a lot of matches to play atm. In fact come the semi they may have to play a league game so they get less time to prepare plus their defeat to St Johnstone on Wednesday has meant that the Title race which looked dead and buried after last Sunday well the door is still slightly ajar. They have been better recently but I don't think they have been great, today against 9 men (yes they only had one more than 2) they failed to really create a lot of chances while against Aberdeen they won by 4 but the sheep could have been 2 up before then. They are not to be feared and if it is to be them we can win as we have played some great stuff and beaten Celtic once and was unlucky to not to get a draw at Parkhead. Plus Armstrong and Mackay-Steven are ineligible as well which is a massive bonus. Do the business on Tuesday and I for one am more excited about going to Hampden to play for a potential than worry about it could be Celtic.
  13. be brilliant if marley is going to sign he is a key player with his pace
  14. He's scored 10 goals this season for Elgin but would he be a first team starter for us - I'm not so sure. I agree he may not be up to that level but i think he is better than league 2. It was just an idea as I do think he was never given a proper chance with us as butcher used him as a wide man and not the central striker although we did have Rooney so was hard for him
  15. Would it be worth getting shane back and actually playing him as a striker
  16. Absolutely agree but there are a number of things that stands Hillsborough out that should take this all terracing is dangerous debate. It was a tragedy that could have been avoided as we all know there was major flaws with the ground and the policing. The actual terrace in question the leppings lane end had hosted plenty of games including the same fixture in the same competition and round 12 months earlier and it went off without a problem. The biggest issue was when the exit gate was opened to stop the pressure outside the turnstiles the gates to the tunnel to enter the terrace should have been shut as it was already very full that would have stopped any problems. Also the presence of the perimeter fencing because of the era of hooliganism caused it. Had that not been there fans would have spilled onto the pitch and simply move into the areas where they was more space. So it was less the fault of the ground but the issues i have highlighted but what it did do was allow English clubs to sort out its stadia with many in a major state of disrepair. The taylor report finding only made it law in England so in theory Scotland dint have to follow but they did because grounds in Scotland were also in major disrepair and needed to be improved. The 10,000 seater rule which almost crippled many clubs was the most foolhardy piece of legislation in Scottish football but I don't understand why clubs our size couldn't keep the terracing. I think both us and county have suffered because of it i mean if you look at the videos of the Caldonian stadium before the stands the atmosphere was better. The terraces we had we not dangerous and lets be honest they wouldn't be hard to police. Anyway that is history we have the stands now but i think we could improve our atmosphere if we could have a form of terracing back.
  17. on looking back we still have an excellent opportunity because of a couple of factors. Are we playing worse than United? - no we certainly not and although we failed to capitalise on this week we haven't played that badly and still look dangerous and hard to beat. Killie wasn't the best but we scored 3 goals, Dundee UTD we should have been out of sight before half time and then today we may not have had a great day but we got back into it and by the sounds were unlucky with the winner being deflected. Dundee Utd need to win Severn more points than us. Both sides have to play Celtic, Aberdeen and each other twice before the end so certainly very tough for both sides to make lots of points. But if we stop united beating us with either a draw or a win then they cant gain and may fall further back. Their next game is away to Celtic in the league and we go to Partick after a little break so there is a good chance we could still increase the lead. Football is an up and down game which is why we love it and although we have failed to capitalise this week I would still rather this scenario than be a Dundee Utd fan at the moment.
  18. Ok i am very frustrated as again we have blown another chance to nail it home. Of course it will go down to the wire but we could have been 16 clear had we won our three games. Today was always going to be tricky and i am more frustrated by the last two games where we score 3 at home and still not win and then lead against 10 men only 5 mins into the game and we cant finish the job which is what Yogi has been speaking about for a month now. On the other hand United are in worse form than us and now face Celtic three weeks in a row. We have 10 games left and face United twice, Aberdeen twice and Celtic Twice but so do they so especially with the form as it is we are still in the driving the seat and this is a good time to lose. Hopefully this will galvanise the lads to up it for the final run to the end of the season. We will have a mini break and will have players back like wakins and warren soon and from what i heard that Ofere got better as the game went on so we can still do it
