  1. Best performance since Dens?
  2. When Robbo was brought in, he had a difficult job to do, but he has not done it at all well.
  3. There was a time not so long ago when I’d be disappointed, gutted, at a result like this. But now it is sooo expected, it just bounces off. A very sad state of affairs for both me and ICT.
  4. County have 21 points from 29 games. At the same stage last year, with a rookie manager way out of his depth and a terrible injury list, we had 24!
  5. I strongly suspect, Charles, that the 10% voting right granted to the Society is non- transferable to any other entity.
  6. I suspect the “emergency” refers to our need to reduce the wage bill.
  7. Hmm, I’m not convinced about that. Difficult circumstances this season, yes, but I still think there’s a lack of evidence that he’s doing a good job and is the man to take us forward.
  8. Being out of the league means we can concentrate on the Irn Bru Cup!
  9. The valid issue that Laurence raises is that the very wealthy can effectively choose whether to be a Scottish or UK taxpayers. Guess which one they’ll opt for! Through my work I know of a couple who have made some perfectly legit modifications to their arrangements to be English taxpayers. So in rough terms, instead of Scotland’s public finances getting 45% of £1m, we get 46% of nothing. It takes an awful lot of peoples’ extra 1% tax to make up for that loss. Same happens everywhere, like when France hiked its top rates of tax a few years ago, countries like the UK and Belgium benefitted. I sometimes think the world needs a single government and a single tax regime to prevent this sort of thing and all the abuse by large multinationals. But it won’t happen, as nationalists will always insist that each state must be free to do their own thing.
  10. Really?! Any like for like comparisons I’ve seen show Glasgow to have almost double the population of Belfast.
  11. Oerth In the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game, Oerth is the fictional planet on which one of the earliest campaign settings, the World of Greyhawk, is located. Oerth has an axial tilt of 30 degrees, which would cause greater seasonal temperature variation than on Earth, were it not for wizardly and divine magic that shifts weather patterns to be more favorable to the populace.
  12. So have we reached the final of this tournament on each of the last 3 times we have been eligible to take part in it?
  13. Surely Perth?
  14. Poloworth’s best performance for a couple of seasons. Hopefully he’s got his mojo back and can play like that for the rest of the season.
  15. Phew - Highly entertaining game!
  16. Nice play by Polworth to set up Oakley, 1-0!
  17. I was the same, but as kick-off approaches, I’m actually getting quite excited!
  18. Nah, the Dundee one. Great first half performance...
  19. Ah yes, I somehow missed out one of the 3 challenge cup finals.
  20. Dumbarton’s first final since 1912, compared to our 4 in our first 24 years.
  21. That’s not the scenario RIG was dismissing, those loans were nothing like your proposed clause stating that if the new club ever loans the player out it can only be to us.
  22. Do you have any suggestions as to how this could be resolved?
  23. All our windfalls go towards paying players and managers. It seems to have been the case for many years that the core sources of income just aren’t enough to sustain us at the competitive level we want to be at.
