  1. It must have been an honour for Sanchez, Lukaku and Rashford to be on the same pitch as the striker who has no goals from 20 appearances this season!
  2. How can you say that - we’ve just qualified for the UEFA Nations League!
  3. Two weeks ago Susan went on trial at Go Ahead Eagles, without success. (Not sure if this belongs here or in ex-ICT players news, but presumably he is still under contract? Maybe he’ll just be swept under the same carpet as André Martins!)
  4. A late winner in the Edinburgh derby surely makes it a realistic possibility that our replay will be televised.
  5. I suspect you might find it was OFW who, as soon as we got relegated, exercised a relegation clause enabling him to leave for free.
  6. If Vigurs hadn’t already been been booked, he could (and surely would) have brought O’Hara down to prevent the goal.
  7. The opening goal came courtesy of a delightful fresh-air sclaff by Meekings. Poor man’s Coll Donaldson.

Radio Scotland used the classic phrase “went down in instalments”
  9. Nothing against him personally, but I hope he does achieve this remarkable record simply because I want County to be relegated.
  10. Has Vigurs disciplinary record set a club disciplinary record?! I think that 15 cards ( 2 red 13 yellow) is the highest an ICT player has ever “achieved”. And there is still a third of the season to go! This will also be the 3rd consecutive season of Vigurs topping our card chart. (He even used to surpass Draper!) The funny thing is he isn’t someone I would remotely consider to be one of our dirtiest ever players.
  11. Interesting that after that remarkable run of clean sheets (10 in 11 matches) we’ve now gone 6 games without one. Not that I’m complaining, as overall the team seems to be playing better now.
  12. I’m liking this new strategy of making a good start to games and having them pretty much sewn up before half time. But why didn’t we think of it before?!
  13. And he doesn’t protest or even feign surprise.
  14. Would have been delighted with any sort of win tonight, so a comfortable victory with a few goals is a very pleasant surprise.
  15. He’s been threatening to do that for his last 53 games!
  16. Billy Mckay is going for the hattrick!

I don’t think that’s fair comment. We were not in a position to match the wages on offer to him from elsewhere and even if we did, he would probably not have chosen to drop a level when he could stay in the Premier. (As an aside he has no goals from 17 appearances at Well, whose manager has said he is looking for new strikers.....)

Is this why so many of our passes are telegraphed?
  19. We have only managed 2 wins against full-time sides this season, which is nothing short of pathetic. The last was in October. We have no wins at all against the 3 sides we need to overtake if we are to get 4th place, even though we have a much higher wage budget than any of them. Putting aside the games against a side who are hopelessly out of their depth, we are having a pretty abysmal season.
  20. St Mirren’s first choice striker has scored 20 this season. Our first choice striker is on 3.
  21. To save others looking it up, Fresno is in California and are a brand new club who will play in the USL.

Here’s the pic of Golobart they used. One for your bedroom ceiling, Renegade.

Half true. Or maybe just a quarter! It was Esquire not GQ, and he didn’t win anything, he was just one of the “models” featured in a regular series of photo shoots headed “Britain’s Best Dressed Men”.
  24. Only half way through the season, but with 7 I think we might already have matched our highest tally of reds for a season?
