  1. However, the reported stat is “Attendance” ie people who attended, not tickets sold. But there’s no reason why clubs should publish any figure, is there? It’s not part of the game.
  2. I’m sure the declining revenue is already a concern. Its a pity that most our points are earned away from home. It’s the same 3 points for a win but if you could choose between home or away it is much better to have a good home record in order to boost attendances and season ticket renewals.
  3. I remover thinking, after a few minutes of wildly celebrating the equaliser, hang on, instead of the end result being a plucky 2-1 defeat, with 11 v 9 for another 30 mins it’s going to end up as something like 5-2 which doesn’t seem fair. But what’s interesting from the player comments is just how much much belief they had that they would go on to win.
  4. We have only a mid-table wage budget and given that constraint we are certainly not doing any worse than we should expect. Out transfer activity consists of fishing in small ponds rather than the lochs and rivers we enjoyed for many years, and as a result we have the lowest quality squad of players we have had this century. However, there is still enough quality there to get us into the playoffs as evidenced by the fact that our really strong away record shows that these players have enough technical ability and organisation to be one of the very best teams in the league. Our failing is our atrocious home form. The squad has the capability to win far more of these matches, but the fact that they can win away but not at home surely points largely to the manager - tactics, selection and motivation.
  5. A win today would get us consecutive league wins for only the 2nd time this season. The time we did it, the second of the wins was at home v Partick. Come on ICT!
  6. If the net hadn’t been there, would the ball have come to a standstill yet?!
  7. Cheers Mantis, great article. I’d strongly recommend everyone to read through the players’ comments which are pretty insightful........and of course, to rewatch the highlights! One of the most remarkable matches any of us will ever attend. Oh, and Jamie Hamill
  8. Or White & McKay?
  9. I’m surprised you aren’t pushing for a deal with a certain bread brand!
  10. Wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to get a sponsorship deal from my favourite whisky and name the stadium Highland Park!
  11. I ain’t ‘fraid of no ghost.
  12. Yngwie replied to Bronson's topic in Caley Thistle
Can’t say I’ve ever found myself thinking that Oakley is too good for this league and should be playing at a higher level.
  13. Andrea Mbuyi Mutombo has been mutual-consented by Partick.
  14. What makes this victory a little bit sweeter is that this is the postponed fixture from when Ayr were on great form and we looked highly unlikely to take anything from the game had it gone ahead. ?
  15. We were soundly beaten on all the stats, except the one that matters. ?
  16. Geez, that was excruciating towards the end. Great result though, especially with so many of our best players missing.
  17. 3+0 now! Remember though, we can turn any situation into a draw!
  18. Our best 3 players this season have been Donaldson, Ridgers and Walsh. All missing, so not too bad a result. Until they are all back, it might just be a case of staying within touching distance of 4th place, then a full strength side finishing strongly.
  19. What's happened to Ridgers? ? If only we had an international keeper on our books to cover in these situations.....
  20. It’s a rubbish time BUT given the choice between a couple of extra players for the rest of the season or a more convenient kick off for one fixture.......?
  21. Tough draw, but of our last 10 away matches in the Scottish Cup, the only one we lost was to Celtic.
  22. Who else was disappointed when the 4th went in? ?
  23. For me the 3 cups wins v Celtic and the one at Tynie were better, more euphoric, than the cup final itself, largely because they were so unexpected. Barry Wilson’s opener in the 3-1 was an incredible moment, after what felt like several minutes of celebration and hugging strangers, I remember saying to someone that I don’t mind if we go on to lose 6-1, to see ICT scoring and leading at Celtic Park was something I never ever expected to see. And then the night just got better and better. If only you could bottle that feeling.
  24. The Scottish Cup: 10% of our fixtures, but 90% of our memories!
  25. It’s a rare chance to fully enjoy a Saturday night, cheers ICT ?
