Signings For Next Season
Butcher also said somewhere that because of the smaller squad size, we need players who can play in a number of positions. Jack of all trades, master of none. More Proctors perhaps?

Contracts (merged)
The tragedy is that all the flair players will be gone in the next few weeks and we'll be left with the sluggers. Looks like Lionel will be our most creative player next season, if he stays.

The Geography dilemma
TB is the only thing that makes us attractive for a good player. Other the last few years we have attracted some pretty good players but we can no longer offer SPL football or SPL wages and geography will be more of a problem than before. Most central belters will not relocate to Inverness if they can get a move to Dundee/Partick/Dunfermline/Morton etc.

Next Season's Numbers
Although this season more than ever, it's advisable to wait until the transfer window has shut before you get your favourite player's name put on.

Thierry Gatthuessi
I suspect he's been working on it for months and had something lined up long before the season ended.

Season Tickets (merged)
The higher they are (within reason), the more money the club makes. Price inelasticity. I would expect us to be at least as high as anyone else in the division.

Thierry Gatthuessi
Forgot about him. Out of sight, out of mind! He may have been cheaper though, who knows.
-
Thierry Gatthuessi
Because he never got a look in. Don't know if he was any good or not.

Possibly our biggest ever waste of a wage?

Contracts (merged)
I thought Vigurs looked a great prospect earlier in the season. Add to that the fact he has no geographical problem with Inverness, and would be a much cheaper wage than most of the alternatives. However, Butcher, Malpas and Bennett are fully aware of all that and have still decided that he should leave. Which makes me think he must have displayed a seriously bad attitude to training.

What Can We Do?
Make the players feel wanted? If they come on here and get the impression that the fans hate them then they are less likely to stay. Get them signed up and THEN start the slagging!

Highlights Of The Season
It was shown in Sportscene's montage of the season last night, if you can get that on catch-up. Another highlight - Rossco playing a blinder at St Mirren, before getting the ball in the middle of their box, doing a few keepy-uppies with it, lighting a cigar, and then blasting it into the net to secure a late win.

Highlights Of The Season
Let's try and lift the gloom. Even if this season contained fewer highlights for us than ever before, there were still some happy moments that are worth recalling. Such as : - The news that Brewster had been sacked - Blackie's penalty to give us an unexpected win at Ibrox - Imrie's free kick at Tynecastle. Sensational strike. - the entertainment and debate that Lionel has provided Interestingly all of the ones I can think of arose after Brewster's departure. Maybe I have erased everything before then from my mind.

?We are fully aware there will be SPL clubs who will be offering the likes of Richie Foran, Eric Odhiambo, Brian Kerr and Filipe Morais contracts". Farewell to our hopes of bouncing back up.

Back To The Top Policy?
Good to hear positive commitment like that. However, it's easier said than done. Most of the clubs relegated in previous seasons have said the same thing and have been amongst the favourites to come straight back up. Here's how they fared. St Mirren - 8th St Johnstone - 3rd Partick - relegated again! Dundee - 7th Livi - 6th Dunfermline - 5th Gretna - bust So statistically we are more likely to end up in the bottom half of the league than the top, and going straight back up seems unachievable for whatever reason. Why can relegated teams not get to grips with the First Division?

Burnley V Sheffield United
Coyle must be one of the best young managers around. I read that Graham Alexander has played in all 61 of their games this season...aged 37.

Scuse the pedantry CaleyP, but if Vigurs wanted half of Imrie's ?1000+ a week, that's a lot more than ?350, n'est-ce pas?

Official Ict Website?
I think it used to be a subsidiary of NTL before a sell-off and then a merger.

Are you also pleased that 2+2=5?

Contracts (merged)
Probably because he doesn't want one. Plus he's an international player and there's no way we can afford him.

Contracts (merged)
I thought this deserved a thread in its own right to clarify confusion and discussion on numerous other topics. From the official club website. http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1666684,00.html Confirms that Pavels, Byrne, Gatheussi, Zander, Wood, Vigurs and McNulty are not being offered contracts. A real shame and a few surprises, but relegation cuts deep. On the plus side, talks will commence with: Lionel, Proctor, McBain, Kerr, Foran, Odhi and Morais.

Contracts (merged)
Was it not the case that contract talks were started with Vigurs 6-9 months ago, but the parties were miles apart on salary expectations? I'm sure I remember something along those lines, but maybe I'm confusing him with someone else.

We Should Have Kept Brewster
Shoes on! :(

Things You Wish You Never Said
In the Innes before the match I was saying to the Paulibees "So long as our players aren't too fired up and someone gets sent off, we should be fine".

Is Everyone Sympathetic To The Toon Fans
Sunderland are my English team, so I was relieved not to suffer a relegation double at the weekend. Newcastle fans are possibly the best and most passionate in England, but they do tend to worship false idols.
