  1. Good to hear he's getting a second chance at this level, I trust he won't get himself sent off this time. George Boyd has been called up too. Who? Peterborough Utd, apparently. Was interviewed on radio and said in his very english accent that he really wants to play for England but it's such a small chance that he'll consider Scotland instead. Give me Blackie's commitment any day!
  2. Great first post!
  3. ;) :thumb04: There's also the old "beaten by a pub team" line. But also:
  4. Fantastic result, from an intriguing starting line-up. Pity Falkirk and Hamilton won, but a good day for us all the same.
  5. Then switch off in injury time!
  6. Agreed. I see that Hamilton and Falkirk have players included though. Looking at that squad, I don't see many players at all who I expect to be future Scotland players.
  7. And doubled his weight.

I don't share your optimism for a point from the St Mirren game. On recent form they are a much better team than us, and our record in Paisley is poor (and it has been ever since we let Darran Thomson go ) Our only chance is if Dorman breaks a leg both legs. The Hamilton one is really vital. Fourth time lucky, please.
  9. Without any Top 6 players it's surely the F team.

That was Dinamo Bucaresti. Can't imagine Marius got involved though. Even if he'd wanted to lamp an 18 stone prop he wouldn't have been able to catch him.
  11. Unfortunately our team has shown this season that when the pressure is on in the crucial games, they bottle it and put in a terrible performance. If we go into that last game needing a result, we will get relegated. Edit to add: Examples of failing to rise to the occassion - v Falkirk in the league cup, v Falkirk in the Scottish Cup, v Falkirk recently in the league. Doesn't bode well!
  12. A real low point in their history!
  13. It's 21 days until the final whistle of our next encounter with them, but I believe they have started timewasting already.
  14. Is the Hamilton game on Setanta? I'm trying to remember if this will be the first time we have been televised against a non-OF team? I know that we are the least televised team this season. That's not a criticism of Setanta, we just haven't been worth watching.
  15. Perhaps we should request something from ICT for that dismal performance at Falkirk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8006621.stm
  16. Hamilton must love playing us. They can be poor but still always win.

The problem for Setanta isn't really that they paid too much in England, it's that after the recent auction they will only have 23 Premiership games a season in future, compared to their current 46. The fear is that not many of their current 1.5m subscribers (or advertisers) will keep paying when there are so few games. (They had less than 200,000 subscribers before they got the Premiership rights).
  18. Methil used to have coal mines, but now its just the pits.
  19. Robbo now linked with East Fife. which is the safer place to live, Liberia or Methil?
  20. One positive that we can take is that unlike most our rivals, ICT have never wasted a huge amount of money on transfer fee and wages for a total dud.
  21. The Ostrich Stand, because its wings are pretty useless? And it's also played host to some "head in the sand" mentality.
  22. Took me a couple of seconds, but
  23. The best 4-4 games since ICT v Alloa. I'm surprised the commentators didn't say so.
  24. I'm not really interested in this job which I haven't even been interviewed for, but it's a good opportunity to remind people that I'm still available and will consider pretty much anything. And who can blame him. Good luck Robbo!
