  1. I suggest we hold a gathering of 500 people in the Main stand, a gathering of 500 people in the North stand, a gathering of 500 people in the South stand, and a gathering of up to 500 people in west terrace.
  2. Yes it’s a rather perplexing statement when “gatherings” like our matches, cinemas, small concerts and shopping centres might have more than 500 people but place no strain on the emergency services. It’s a pretty low threshold and simply doesn’t achieve it’s stated aim. I also think it is no coincidence that whilst the Scottish Government think this this measure is necessary, they don’t think it is necessary until the day after the Old Firm match, an event which places far more strain on the services than all other matches added together.
  3. It’s a big thing for them!
  4. Better safe than sorry - looking back at the goals Alloa scored on Saturday, the virus has led to a policy of not going within 2 metres of opponents!
  5. I know nobody has the answers at this stage, just putting it out there that there might be consequences. How would a “work from home “ directive be applied - matches played on PES/FIFA?!
  6. So how is this going to play out from a footballing/ICT perspective? It seems increasingly likely that there will soon be measures taken to delay the spread of the virus as has been happening in Italy which is a week or two ahead of us. The purpose of any government measures will rightly be to save lives, not save football. Its questionable whether matches in our league could be classed as large public gatherings, but if they are, games might be played behind closed doors. For clubs like us in a weak financial position, the loss of gate receipts and associated income like hospitality and sponsorships would be hard to absorb, and could there be an obligation to partly refund season ticket holders? Then there’s the prospect of a player or team coming down with it, or severe movement restrictions, resulting in fixtures being postponed for weeks or even months. What happens if the season isn’t completed by the end of May when many players’ contracts end? I can’t think of any fair way to resolve that.
  7. Dougie Imrie has been arrested and released without charge, relating to a match fixing investigation involving a yellow card last season.
  8. Steady on old chap, we are still closer to the relegation playoff than we are to top!
  9. At 2-2 I was starting to have thoughts about our season fizzling out, but great night in the end. Keep it going ICT!
  10. Having just been drawn against Hearts in the SF, that’s 3 consecutive rounds where Hibs have drawn the lowest ranked team remaining in the tournament (after BSC Glasgow then ICT).

What awful news. I knew him only through this site and from meeting occasionally at games or in the pre-match pub. He was always friendly, passionate and humorous, and his drunken late night posts on this site were legendary for many years. RIP Brosno.
  12. Earlier in the season I would have said this would be his final season, but he’s really impressed me in the last few weeks.
  13. Having seen how knackered our players were at the end of our midweek fixture, it came as no surprise that some of them had little energy left for the 2nd half. The red card just made it even harder to stay competitive.
  14. When was the last time we played a team with such deadly attacking prowess? You don’t face this type of pace and finishing in our league, or indeed in much of the Premier.
  15. Great result for us, but it has to be said, the game’s best chances all fell for the home side who will be wondering how they didn’t take something. Thankfully for us most of their finishing was woeful, although the goal was a beautiful strike. Not sure was Doran was doing when he gave the ball away cheaply. Our players put 100% into this match, with plenty of full blooded tackles going in, and at full time many of them collapsed to the ground rather than celebrated the win.
  16. Scary to think that this person could be called up for jury duty!
  17. I was in hospitality (first time I’ve ever experienced that for an ICT game). Even from the very back of the upper George Fox stand, you could hear the splashes when players were running up the wing. You should’ve seen the reaction of the guy next to me, a neutral, when Tremarco hit the side netting in the last minute - 2-2 would’ve won him over £800. Ouch.
  18. Indeed. But after all this, I can’t help feeling that there’s an increased chance that he’ll end up missing the final due to injury!
  19. Do we need a 3 person panel to consider use of the word “grave”? Or can we just get this thread back on track please.
  20. According to a Radio Scotland, Aitken acknowledges his error.
  21. There is a lengthy statement, but basically one of the panel members has admitted to not having carried out their duties by reaching a conclusion after reviewing the evidence presented. The member has stood down from being considered in future.
  22. BREAKING NEWS ***SFA are convening a new panel to review the appeal! ***
  23. The SFA’s Ian Maxwell will be asked about this incident on Sportsound this afternoon. I don’t imagine he’ll be saying anything specific about it though. Apparently on Tuesday the reasoning behind the decision will become available. Edit- they’ve just updated to say it won’t happening - no doubt the SFA are too busy trying to work up a vaguely plausible justification for the decision. Good luck with that. Richard Gordon believes the panel was an ex-ref and 2 non-football people, with the vote going 1-2.
  24. Phew, well done ICT!
