  1. Really enjoyed that today and not just because we defeated Celtic more the manner of our performance - best home performance under Yogi IMO. The passing today was a joy to watch purely due to the fact is was quick and effective. I really liked at times when we caught Celtic's defence out and Watkins and Mckay got the fast break. Marley Watkins was my MOTM today - superb! Play with that intensity next Saturday vs Killie and hopefully the result will take care of itself. Interesting to note, I noticed Steve Marsella sitting with the fans in the Main stand today - Scouting?
  2. HT:0-1 FT:1-4 1st ICT: Warren 1st Celtic: Pukki 1st Goal: 20 mins
  3. That team looks fine - but can Williams and Christie be dropped? Got to say, small squad we may have - until suspensions and injuries, we've got good options. I don't believe Celtic will play a 'weakend' side for a second. Granted they may rest one or two. I think we need to play our strongest/experienced side tomorrow. I think Williams and Christie would be good impact subs.
  4. My team would be: Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Doran Draper Tansey Watkins Ross Mckay
  5. Febian Brandy recently signed for Rotherham.
  6. I'm most likely wrong but could the first one be Alex Nimley formerly of Manchester City (Released at the end of last season)
  7. Last game he was the referee for our game was last April 0-0 with Aberdeen. Could've been worse, could've been Willie Collum
  8. As I said I would like to know who the other trialists before judgement but given Gow's experience in the Scottish Premier and the fact he would most likely be a back up he wouldn't be risking too much for injury and gives us a different option up front.
  9. Wouldn't mind seeing the names of the other strikers on trial but Alan Gow could be the safest option.
  10. I was at the game this evening. One of the trialists was watching the game, not sure if the other guy with him was the other trialist or his Agent - probably the latter.
  11. That's was the guy that I saw during the game. He is one of the trialists but not sure on his name. He was with another guy but not sure if he was his agent or is the other trialist.
  12. Guys like Nick Ross, Danny Devine and Lewis Horner should get game time to keep match fitness. Regarding the trialists I reckon we'd only sign one of them (if sucessful) so I doubt we would see them playing together plus we don't usually play two up front.
  13. I read on the STV report that CAS could either postpone the Maribor vs Celtic or Legia takes the place back from Celtic but doesn't explain much about the Europa League should the latter be the outcome. IIRC when Celtic got back into the Europa League when Sion had the 5 players ineligible which that was taken to CAS the outcome wasn't made until December that year. Champions League for Celtic = £££ for Scotish Football but in my opinion even if Celtic were put into the Europa League, they have better chance of getting say the finals than in the Champions League.
  14. Best case scenario would be them getting put into the Europa League and going to Kahzakhstan instead of Slovenia. It would mean our game getting changed to Sunday though again.
  15. Sounds a much quicker paced game from us rather than a slow approach like last Wednesday!
  16. James Vincent failed a late fitness test hence why there is only 6 subs today.
  17. Inverness CT: Brill, Raven, Shinnie, Warren, Meekings, Draper, Watkins, Tansey, Williams, Christie, Mckay Subs: Esson, Doran, Ross, Horner, Tremarco, Polworth
  18. Ignore the above, Showumni didn't play at Falkirk when Yogi was boss.
  19. Going by that Fly on the wall account on Twitter, one of them is a former England B player and the other is a 6'1 Nigerian. Not sure who the English one could be but I had a slight inclination that the Nigerian could be Enoch Showumni who was at Falkirk with Yogi but Showumni isn't 6'1 (according to his wiki page he's 6'5)
  20. Would be interesting to see the outcome of this. IF and a massive IF we sold him, I'd like to see a deal where we get him back on loan for the season (more if possible) If indeed Newcastle or Sunderland buy him.
  21. I am really impressed with the new sponsor board behind Yogi when he does his interviews now. Looks ace!
  22. As I said in the Dundee match thread that 4-2-3-1 doesn't really suit the possession style of play and would much rather see two upfront rather than just one which in theory would provide more service to Billy Mckay. I do like Yogi's style of play in general. It's a good idea but I feel it needs to be more quick paced passes and moving the ball forward rather than side ways or backwards. My team would be: Brill Meekings Warren Shinnie Watkins Draper Tansey Williams Doran Christie Mckay Subs: Esson, Raven, Tremarco, Vincent, Horner, Polworth, Ross,
  23. HT: 1-0 FT: 3-1 1st ICT: Mckay 1st M'Well: Law First Goal: 20 mins
  24. Such a fall from grace for Greenhalgh. I always felt he was too lightweight for the premiership and watching a few U20 games I didn't think he had the right attitude but didn't expect him to make such a fall consdering he was scoring for Stenny.
  25. They did state when they bought him that he was signed for their B/reserve team initially. They have bought him to develop and then sell on at a very large profit. They were very clear on their intentions. I didn't realise that. I thought he was going to be played in the first team straightaway.
