  1. Well, they clearly can given that they have :029:
  2. Ian Black, the best players take the best penalties, I'm sure he could pick out any spot he wanted and give the keeper no chance.
  3. Not really Aboyn! Is there some way we can exploit this idiot MacGregor without losing control of the club? I quite fancy a 20,000 capacity indoor stadium myself.
  4. I hope thats a joke! :015:
  5. Hes pish. Hastings is (normally) a much more reliable left back. I mind Calderwood was a fan of Hastings from when **** last extended his contract, could only see Byrne coming to Inverness in an exchange deal (considering the sort of asking price we gave Rankin I doubt itll be difficult for the Dons to bid anything).
  6. Do what Scotty says, I couldnt imagine using just one monitor now, couple of 19' tft's would be great.
  7. "* St Patricks Day Party on Saturday 15th March" Whens the Burns night then? We must be about the only club in Scotland not having one!
  8. Was going to say, I didnt like the Celtic one, known loads of Hibees over the years and it doesnt wind them up at all. It just makes us look a bit naive, also I've got respect for just about every football fan in this country who doesnt follow one of the OF, Edinburghs no different to Inverness in that theres as many Celtic fans (if not more) there than Hibs. absent friend, did they indicate to you that they moved because of the F word?
  9. I have a problem with his comments, his leaving had nothing to do with ICT being smaller than Killie (arent we smaller than Blackburn too?) and everything to do with him not cutting it either during his extended chances or during his loan to Ross County. Wouldnt expect him to be honest though, he's only building himself to fail with his new fans. Best of luck to them making up the points difference before the end of the season. See you after the split :023:
  10. The lads just gone way up in my book, good on him, hope training wasnt too 'interesting' for him :022:
  11. Funnily enough, geologically the center of Greater London is actually a near perfect site for a nuclear power station, though I can see one or two reasons why that would be unpopular :029:
  12. No not yet. My ability to top it up without traveling 14 miles is though!
  13. Slovak, just to say, I am currently phoneless until Friday morn!
  14. or the 10.30 if you want the party train :001:
  15. Hibernian 4/5 Draw 9/4 Inverness 3/1 Who remembers the Kilmarnock game we were supposed to win at 3/1? This'll be a draw.
  16. Deano is nowhere near the class of Marius :029:
  17. Who knows, maybe we'll never score another goal again.
  18. Bavidge is a great wee player these days, cant see him ever making the SFL but if he continues to score as he has for the last few seasons (8 this year and hes been injured for ages) he could probably make the step upto full time football in the SFL1.
  19. Hmm... Not sure how I'd feel about that, hes not shy about having digs which I like alot and he rarely wastes the ball. He has become an important part of the team and he would definitley be missed on a footballing front. However he is on alot of money, so I suppose if we recouped all of his wages, the cost of bringing in somebody else and bit left over to compensate then it would have to be a fair deal. There is no replacement within our budget. I did hear a surprising rumor about Nacho Novo on loan but I cant see that coming to anything, it wasnt even worth its own topic!
  20. Of course RIG! Nae idea about the tickets yet but if I have to buy a few tickets again then I will, I'll give the Stadium a call in the morning. :011:
  21. I think Liverpool and Chelsea are both looking at new sites but you are correct in saying football stadiums should be within walking distance of civilization.
  22. By that I mean its his fault if we dont reach Hampden and the top 6 :015:
  23. Well I'll be present no doubt at all. :sillywave: My thoughts before the league game away to Hearts were that we would lose if we were complacent, took them lightly or lost concentration for a second, especially at set pieces. I also said that we should not rely on the referee to be as generous as he was to us versus Celtic..... All of the above I'd apply to this cup game aswell. The game next Saturday will be a welcome break from league business for Hibs. Though they are playing shockingly just now we have also lost our last two away games, regardless of the manner of defeat a 1-0 registers the same result as a 4-0, we've been lucky in that the festive congestion allowed us to bounce back against the two poorest sides at home quickly. Our next games after the cup is versus Rangers and away to Motherwell, theres every chance that whatever momentum we've been able to carry through the Aberdeen and Falkirk defeats will be wiped out and the clubs challenging for the top 6 will start to open up a small gap on us, leaving us stranded somewhere in between Falkirk and the bottom 3 by February. Obviously we're all enjoying the tussle for position between the mid table clubs, we have to make it last as long as possible and not let the next handful of fixtures put us in a position where we're chasing, to give us some hope of points versus Rangers a draw is the least we need next weekend, where we then stand in our relation to Motherwell will dictate our approach and expectations from them (they do have a couple of difficult games in hand). An argument can be made that getting knocked out of the SC will give us some focus on the league, but theres no substitute for the positivity thatll come from a cup win in Edinburgh, we'd also be giving the weakest of the challengers for a top 6 spot a serious confidence blow. My own opinion is that we have an equal chance of reaching the top 6 and a Hampden semi final, if we're professional and hungry to win every ball in every game then we will achieve both. It's up to Brewster to get our heads straight, make sure everybody is 110% fit physically and mentally. Hibs 1 ICT 2
  24. It was the 6 nations last year, Scotland were playing Wales at Murryfield, every bar and street in Edinburgh was packed. Over that weekend I met dozens of Welsh people (for the first time) and can honestly say in hindsight that not a single one of them I'd consider a normal person :015: Every one of them was a bit strange.. and not necessarily in an interesting or quirky sense, never had any hassle from them (nor did I see them getting into bother with anybody) but next time the fixture comes around and they are playing in Edinburgh I will most likely spent the weekend elsewhere. I am a tolerant person and I do give almost everybody I meet a fair crack of the whip but the Welsh I met over the 48 hour period seriously seriously pushed me in a way I would never have expected possible. It isnt Wales the rugby team are up against is it?!
