Welcome to Yogi
Welcome! Really looking forward to Saturday. What Yogi related songs can we sing to welcome him at the Midden?

The assistant manager thread
Another managerial debate. Perhaps we need a poll. I hear Ossie Ardiles has handed in his CV again.

Is there a game on this weekend?
Looking forward to having an Alamo pie. Highlight of the day imo.

The new manager thread
I can confirm. Beastie and myself had a very heated managerial debate in the pub on Saturday lol.

Are we all just supporting acts?
Perhaps we should postpone our game that weekend and play a glamour friendly against Brora.

The Hughes Poll
Gone for 'Pleased - He's a decent choice' Out of all the candidates mentioned in media / speculated about on here Yogi was in my top 3. I think I voted for Shiels in the other poll though. However my reasons for being happy with Yogi are as follows (in no particular order): Great motivator and a natural leader. I've always thought he comes across as the type of manager that players would work their socks off for. He tries to play on the deck football. He is a real character in the Scottish game - good rapport and engaged with local community at Falkirk / Hibs. Very big on youth development. Reasonable record in Scotland. Did well at Falkirk and very well at Hibs in his one full season there. He's not been officially appointed yet though but i'm assuming he will be the manager. Welcome aboard :)

Hughes did very well at Falkirk. Won the First Division then established them as a good SPL team. He got them to SC Final as well. He then left for Hibs. In his 1 full season there they finished 4th. Not bad at all. After a very poor start to the next campaign they sacked him. Very harsh imo. Strong motivator. Keen on youth development. Comes across as a type of manager the players would want to play for. I met him whilst doing youth work in Edinburgh. Think he was Falkirk manager at the time. I was very impressed with his football chat. He‘s a leader and i‘d be happy with him. #TeamYogi

Did someone suggest Paul Sturrock?

Hughes is up there as one of my favourite candidates. He‘s a leader and a strong motivator. I think he would fit in very well with the club and the players. No idea who his Assistant would be though. #TeamYogi

Please be Stranraer!- The price of players in the SPL
Well I watched Luton a few weeks back drawing 0-0 with Gateshead. Our current ICT team would beat them for sure. I reckon the Skrill Premiership (the Conference) is on par with the Scottish First Division (Or the Championship to give it it's new silly name). Two or three teams would probably be on par with bottom six teams this season - Killie, County etc. Actually i'm certain Gateshead would beat Hearts, Killie and County at the moment.- Mikey diamond
I was informed this morning it was sent up via courier service so hopefully it is indeed tracked just incase.- Mikey diamond
The flag will apparently be handed over to Steve Brown early in the week. The guys I have spoken to are very apologetic and as I said before, they did not realise the significance of the flag. There were other flags there I think and they picked it at random. I've spoken to someone from ICT, and the club will be confirming this week with St Johnstone that the flag has been handed in.- Mikey diamond
Spoken to one of them. They didn't know the significance of the flag and he has apologised. I'm assured the flag will be returned. Will let you know when.- Steve Marsella has left the building.
Are you IHE? Can I ask Alex, why don't you like him? And if all of these contacts are Terry's why weren't they used in his previous jobs? Just annoys me that we can't let anyone go without slagging them off, shows no class. It's just a difference of opinion and mine just happens to be the right one. Capital Caley - hashtag seething is something used on P&B by posters who have lost the argument (cue hashtag seeting from another genius). Eh? I'm really sorry that he's not the man you thought he was. I've stated quite clearly the role your hero played at the club. I wasn't slagging him off. I admire your level of fanatical happy clapping though. I hope you give the next management team the same level of loyalty.- Steve Marsella has left the building.
I‘ve noticed a small minority of our support are still furiously happy clapping for Team Butcher and Misspass. They‘ve been so taken in with Butcher that they can‘t let go. Is this normal for people who have previously been suffering from Stockholm Syndrome (not Helsinki) or does the symptoms carry on even after they are free from the clutches?- Steve Marsella has left the building.
#Seething- Steve Marsella has left the building.
I think that's a bit harsh on Steve. He has incredible contacts in the game built up over many years and Inverness have benefitted from those contacts. Let's not blacken the boy's name, he done a great job and pathetic comments about unpopularity amongst the players now he is gone is pretty low. It's not unthinkable that he would work up North again and I would rather it was in a place where he would feel welcome and this thread is starting to develop a nasty little feel to it. To say he was unpopular without naming names to back it up is also a little cowardly as the boy can't speak up to defend himself. He worked like a dog for Inverness and really loved his job here. If he rattled a few cages on the way, so what it's not a popularity contest. If anyone could do his job then why don't they? Come on Steve Marsella should be a hero here, he has done nothing wrong in my opinion. Where have I mentioned in my one post on this topic anything about him being unpopular?! I have merely stated his role in find players.- Steve Marsella has left the building.
From what I gather Marsella didn't 'find' the players. He was sent down South to look at players that had been recommended by certain agents. They were found for the club and Marsella was the man to go and watch them. He'd then report back to the club. Plenty of footballing people could do that job. Not as big a loss as some people think.- Butcher offski?
BOOOOOOOOOOO- Who do you want? Poll

Still waiting on the advertised buffet to appear. Starving mun.- Butcher offski?
DerbyDave will be looking up prices for half season tickets at ER imo. - Scottish Cup 5th round draw:Stranraer
