Invernes Caledonian Thistle is a great name! In our short history this name is in the history books as winners of Div 3, Div 1 (twice), 8th Feb 2000 night, and SPL seasons. We shouldnt change it to appease folk that don't even support the club. I also like how we have kept the identities of Caley and Thistle and that is very much part of our history. I was 8 when the club formed and i'll never forget going wth my dad to the games at Telford Street aged 7+ ............ lets be positive about our past... forget about the stay aways.... their no longer fans!

The 3-0 win against County in season 96/97. Barry Wilsons first game against County since joining Caley. His dad had been sacked by County a few months earlier and Barry was on a revenge mission.... ran from our half for a good 40 yards before crossing to Ian Stewart who chipped the ball over Hutchisons head at edge of box to make it 3... a perfect game and a championship season!

I remember a friend of mine who worked for Hibs in the coaching set up a few years ago told me that Brewster applied for Hibs job when he was at Dundee utd.... must have known his time was soon up there! So it wouldn't surprise me if he applies again... no chance of him gettin it though!

I usually put the highlights on mute so I don't need to listen to the utter pish from the commentators.

When ICT first got promoted to SPL... Dundee (along with Partick Jags) voted against our entry. I hope Dundee go to the wall and die.

A couple of Jambos have told me that Hibs head of security was actually working for Hearts last season.... rumour has it from the Hearts fans is that he got the sack and was very unpopular. I know from Hibees as well that they are not happy to see him at their club. He seems to have changed ER for the worse.

My first post! Used to go to matcheS for a number of years and now able to go to more so will be using this site more often........ I thought the reaction fae the stewards / police was ridiculous... yes the longer the police stood there (blocking peoples views) the more the fans would wind them up...but the police were the ones instigating it. Hibees were standing but nothing was done. The police created the problem and i thought our fans were fantastic.. don't think any one was out of line despite the victimisation from the police... we have the best supports in the SPL in terms of behaviour and lack of sectarian songs. I think the Caley fans should be proud of themselves! Is it worth, as many folk as possible complaining to Lothian and Borders Police?
