Better late than never! Long overdue! "The A9 Perth to Inverness Economic Appraisal Study estimated journey times could be cut by 22 minutes." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-15932030

There's 10 players I would drop before dropping Esson, He is not the weakest link. This literally would be change for changes sake and extremely unfair on him.
-
I presume the reason that they didn't open the cash gate was they had no money float. If they let people in there, they would need exact change only, and then it would start to get messy! I think for next time, they will have 2 cash gates if they learn from their mistakes.

I can't remember about Tansey (someone please enlighten me) but Meekings got a 2 year contract. There are a few loanees / 1 year deals but with Meekings and Doran as well I think, slightly longer deals will give Terry and Mo time to work with them. With the 1 year deals for the likes of Tade, i'm sure the plan would be to review them and offer extensions. Maybe the gamble of long term deals financially is too much a risk if they fail. Of course if they do shine, they will be offski, but we've always had that problem. What are we supposed to do? Not sign them in the first place? Our good players are always going to attract interest in bigger clubs. It's the manager or DOF's job to try and keep them, through contract extensions.

This whole debate about Munro and Duncan is dragging out far too long, but i'll get involved lol I hear people going on about ten players leaving etc. How many were influential in getting us to 7th? Certainly not Golly or McBain last season. Three players that played most weeks were Rooney, Munro, Duff. Duff has been replaced in Meekings Rooney was always going to be hard to replace, but Tade is starting to score and show his worth Munro probably should still be there but on paper having Hogg and Tokely in the middle ain't bad! Duncan: Well he didn't actually play much last season. He was on the bench most weeks which seems to have been forgotten! Plus, we have an excellent midfield on paper. I'd say Cox is the heir to Duncans position. Tansey can be seen as a replacement to Duncan. Most people rate Tansey as well. I've heard people saying things like Butcher 'cut too hard in the summer'. He had no control over Rooney, Duff didn't look like ever signing, McBain and Golly had to go. Sanchez hardly featured, Duncan didn't feature much last season. Odihambo blew hot and cold (more cold) We can't keep a team full of substitutes. If Munro had been kept, would we be say top 6 right now? Probably not. Terrys building with the likes of Meekings and Tansey. If we can start to climb, then the future looks great. Also, remember, with the defensive injuries we've had, the back 4 haven't been settled. If we can keep the same back 4 for the next few games, I am sure they will find consistency.

I would go with: Esson Meekings, Tokely, Hogg, G. Shinnie Hayes Tansey A. Shinnie Davis Tade Foran I prefer G. Shinnie to Gillet, although i do rate them both at left back

Look at our last 4 games. Very good against Well and narrow defeat Superb against Killie and emphatic win Good against Celtic and unlucky due to sending off Poor against Hearts but had chances to win / score more Hibs / Aberdeen / Pars are all playing consistantly shoite at the moment. We ain't going to soar up the table, but I think we will be fine... eventually!

Another frustrating peformance. I was also disapointed / surprised that Meekings came off. Not sure if it was Proctors fault for the goal, but he is often the scape goat far too often. Most players were poor yesterday for the full 90 minutes. If Meekings was struggling with a dead leg, then fair enough, the change had to be made. More baffling is the subsitution that occured within the 2 minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game! All that is going to do is time waste! Bizarre! I thought Meekings and Tokely were superb yesterday. Meekings for only 19 looks so composed and I think he will turn out to be a fantastic signing. No one else really stood out for me and we probably deserved a draw, on the basis that Hearts didn't deserve 3 points either. On another note, did we have a big support yesterday or was it just too small a space?! I can never tell! People queing outside the stadium with the 1 turnstyle, fans sitting on steps because they couldn't find seats lol. Hearts underestimated our support and could have done with the barrier being moved along a few rows. They probably should have done this when folk were having to cross the barrier. There were a few folk standing in the space of 1 seat as well. I hope we bring the same size of support to Paisley away next week! However, on a more darker tone, there was no need at all for the Hillsborough chants that some started in relation to this. We certainly do not need that.

Don't worry, at least we have an MP that will fight for his constituents.... oh no, sorry my mistake, we have Danny Alexander.

This also got me thinking... What is the record for most clubs in one season in Scottish or British football?
-
He can't seem to stay in one place long. Booted from Watford after effectively getting the boot from Caley Thistle, signed by Colchester. Now loaned out to Torquay. 4 teams in one season... and it's only November! Hopefully when he goes through to meet his new team mates, he doesn't get lost in Carlisle and Manchester for a week again! Mind you, that would be some de-tour!

Not fecking 9.30 anyway! Emm, I'll probably give the breakfast of champions a miss, but if you're wanting to get the 10.30 train then I can be at Queen St for 10.15 (I don't have to get a carry out for the train...)If you're going to go for the 11.00 train let me know though, because I have got a few work-related things to get through and even an extra half-hour would make a difference. Okdokey. I shall be at CH for 9.30, and we shall catch the 11 o'clock train to help with your work. Gets in at 11.45 at Haymarket. Then wee march or £1 each in taxi to Diggers I'll bring a couple of extra beers to save you faffing about in the shop as well.
-
The Caledonian Bar or Caledonian Sample Rooms (one of them), round the corner from Diggers allows U18's in with adults. Only 5 min walk from Tynecastle
-
Oh Jesus, I'm getting a headache already just thinking about it. I'm too old for this nonsense: I'm taking up bowls or something. The Tulloch is the place for Bowls. We'll play there at the next Perth away day. ;) I'll confirm the exact train for Saturday we're taking nearer the time. When is the absolute earliest you would like to go?
-
I'll enter the Wonga Cash Dash. If I win, I shall purchase all of Vlads shares. I will then then sell the stadium and donate the money to ICTFC.
-
Great news! I'll be checking the odds on a Tansey winner for Saturday!
-
They told us to leave at 2.45, when we were leaving anyway. I blame a certain Immortal fellow for standing on the table

A tough one for me! I believe!

Meh. You and your fancy-dan innovations. What's wrong with the Diggers? Hoping Daddy Stan will have a day off work and nappy duties and can meet us. Probably be heading through around midday or else earlier with Capital Caley and co, depending on work. I love Tynecastle, and have seen some of my favourite games there - the Cup win and the two 3-2 games (one win for us, one for Hearts, both crackers) - but if you look back at the history of the fixture there have been some really turgid games: loads of 0-0 draws and 1-0 defeats. Hopefully this will another of the occasional high-scoring games. The Standing Order? That's a Weatherspoons isn't it? No TV, no music, lots of tourists clogging up the bar buying coffee lol Diggers for me as well, join us there Top Six. We'll probably leave Glasgow around 10.30 - 11 to be in Edinburgh around 11.30 - 11.45.
-
I'll be heading through from Glasgow early doors. I do like re-living my student days in Edinburgh!
-
I'm glad we appealed. We should win, but i'm not hopeful! if we succeed, then not losing Tansey for 3 games will be worth the grand. Losing him for 3 games, could cost us more. If we win, I take it we have to still pay the grand? Surely, if we win, this is an admission that the ref got it wrong, therefore we should be re-imbursed for the grand! The whole system is ridiculous.

The way I interpreted it was he was saying he aint jealous of ICT as County have opted to focus on youth development (as opposed to ICT) and that is the reason the academy is in Dingwal. i.e. he was having a pop at ICT.

I have no fears. Bring on VonScheihallion, or whatever FA cker I get!
