Will be in Sneck so I shall also go along.

I agree with Donview. I would be worried that FIFA would then push for a team GB for all events. Sepp Baltter made a comment about this recently - something a long the lines of GB having 4 representatives in competitions..... another reason I wanted SFA / Stewart Reagan to shut their mouths about getting the presidential vote postponed.

Good stuff! Have you seen the stadium in Bath where we're playing Bristol? looks like Central Park, Cowdenbeath! It has a bar linked to the stadium I believe, which is very handy!

The house that looks like Danny Alexander....

Same on this side of the pond I am afraid .... cant remember the exact quote, but someone once said something along the lines of "The desire to be a politician should exclude you from ever being one!" .... it is so true and applies equally to people of all political shades ! I remember the Lib Dems at the last general election had in their manifesto details about constituents being able to force a bi-election in order to oust a failing MP. He's certainly failing his constituents that's for sure! But the Tories didn't let them have this policy in the coalition agreement... shame really! I worked for the Lib Dems in Glasgow canvassing for them in 2010. I will never even vote for them again. I'm ashamed of what they have done,. they will never be forgiven in Scotland that's for sure. I'm with the SNP now. -
He put in some very good perfromances at right back last season. Games he played poorly at right back, the whole team were playing poorly. I don't rate him in midfield but I really like him at right back, and so I really hope he signs.
-
I'm in favour of it. As other folk have said, an early christmas present. Hopefully it is not moved.

There doesn't seem to be much appetitie for Yeovil. I'm going to: Livingston Bristol Rovers Aldershot Buckie Thistle
-
I hope know-one took your advice!!!

He says it's a 'learning curve' I wonder whether he will be sacked? I'd be surprised if he wasn't but Hearts seem to be quiet about it. Although, what he did was disgusting, I hope that if he stays at Hearts, our fans won't resort to the chants that the likes of Goodwillie, McGregor and Imrie have suffered in the past. Yes, he's been convicted and proven guilty, but I hope when we go to Tynecastle, our fans will sing about our own team and not concentrate on the lives of others - no matter how bad or disgusting. I know the songs will be thought up across the country, but i hope we can be better than that!

Aye, the Haymarket. Checking in on the Thursday and then heading Aldershot way on the Friday,
-
Don't know much about them atall, other than there's flights from Sneck and Glasgow to Bristol. Bristol is pretty much joined on to Bath, and there's a few of us staying in Premier Inn in Bristol. That is the extent of my knowledge. Oh and there's a Butlins not too far away in Minehead, if that's anyones type of holiday!

Yes I agree Smee. And now he's spending most of his time plotting to cut things like RAF Lossie, instead of serving Sneck. Next general election = Danny! -
This made me laugh! Our local MP is certainly getting a hard time of it! http://politics.standard.co.uk/2011/06/the-house-that-looks-like-danny-alexander.html

Flight from Glasgow to Bristol only ?34. Not bad atall!

Not 100% sure but I think that may have something to do with Press Release exclusivity. I really don't see what all the fuss is about here. The Press Release went out round about 5:30 on Friday at which time it's possible for broadcasters to respond very quickly and get the news out in a timescale of a few minutes. Capital Caley appears to be claiming it went on the club site shortly after STV's bulletin at 6:20. What's the issue? 5:30 is also after normal closing time at the Stadium and I really think people down there, even of they are still working at that hour, have got better things to do with their time than hang around just in case there might be something to go on the website. At this time of day, if they had waited with the general Release until after they had got it on the official site, then it would have missed Friday night bulletins and there would have been several cross broadcasters - including myself. In general (and I suspect I speak for most journalists) I think that the best way IS for stuff to go out to the media first and then on to the club website maybe at the same time (which will be difficult to manage) or quite shortly after, which has happened here. Newsdesks, who convey news to far more people than a club website, are constantly across their emails but in terms of being across a single football club website, that reduces who gets it when to a complete lottery if it's on the official site first. However on odd occasions such as this, it will also mean that news can go out on air just before it goes on the official site. I am taking it that, in saying that this release went on to the official site shortly after it went out on STV, Capital Caley was on and off the official site sufficiently often to know exactly when it wasn't there and when it was? I do see your point here from your journalist view. My point was more that in general the club seem to struggle to communicate with fans. This was just another example. I agree, they do have better things to do, but more important issues, such as ticket info, times etc sometimes get updated late as well and that's not good enough. The Courier has run an article saying that the English tour is going ahead, yet the club is saying still no confirmation. Are the club being super slow again or have the Courier got wrong information? The club tell me to check the website, but when will the club get round to updating it? I also wan't on and off the site sufficiently to know when it was and wasnt there. I simply checked the site after the news, and it wasn't there. Then ten(ish) minutes later when I was closing the tab, I noticed it was there. Simples! Also, sorry for leading this forum astray. Thrilled to have Rossco for one more year!!!

I'm joining GJ on the plane. I will be going to all 3. IHE, are you still driving to Yeovil or train after the Bristlol game?
-
Interesting, Maybe he'd like to sign a one year deal at an SPL team first? he can certainly transfer his speed to football, he's trained most of his athletic carrer, for one off sprinting events, i.e. a 100 metre. Training yourself to do sprints, jog, run, lunge, change direction quickly would require some time to get to EPL standard. He'd also need the skill factor, and as a professional sprinter, he probably hasn't had the time to do football skills training. Maybe at a lower level, but I really don't know for EPL. In saying that, I wouldnt want to be a defender when he's running at you with the ball!
-
Myself, Govan Jaggie and Red Card are going down for Bristol. We were going to get in touch with you once it's properly confirmed. I believe Plymouth is cancalled though? GJ was saying something about a tent as well lol I am planning all three games but that may not be the case for the others. Once it's confirmed i'll speak to them about what's what.
-
Absolutely! I don't understand it when I hear other fans slagging off our skills lol. Interesting to see also that although Tade seems to get laballed a clogger, his disciplinary record is quite good actually. Maybe next year we'll aim for Europe via discipline if we don't make it through performance! Regarding Hearts though, in such financial difficulties it seems a lot, UNLESS, it is used for a good footballing cause. Personally (another conspiracy theory that's just come straight off the top of my head), last week the referee's were demanding £1,000 per game in SPL for the new season. Could it be that Hearts shocking disciplinary record could actually help increase the refs pay and decrease the chance of another strike? Just a thought.
-
Maybe it's all a grand conspiracy and Vlad is right - the SFA want to stop Hearts from challenging the ugly sisters. How much have Celtic and Rangers been fined for their antics last season? Not as much it seems.
-
£100,000 for their discipline last season. Stirling Albion £3,000. What exactly does the SFA do with this money? Do you think it's right to fine such a high amount. Stirling are in a bit of a financial mess - this will just make things worse. Good however to see our club getting a positive mention. "Four senior clubs were commended for their record - Inverness Caledonian Thistle, for the second successive season" http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13732136.stm

Michael Fraser has signed for County today.
-
Good news, but I can't help laugh that the article was posted on the club website just after the news broke on STV. Odd way for the club to operate.
-
I don't see the point in it, if we've already got P&B, which like it or hate it, does include every Scottish club and is very popular.
-
Tomorrows Courier running a story that the English games have been confirmed. But again, according to the club they are not confirmed.
