  2. Heading up with the Glasgow guys as well on the 1041 train.
  3. I thought it was a good game. We're showing massive signs of improvement and I am now much more confident of not only survival, but possibly being quite comfortable.
  4. Of all the games to pick! I can't imagine many Pars fans travelling up on a Friday night, and Dons gates are extremely low as well. It will be interesting to see how much they drop by. I presume the SPL will compensate Aberdeen if they have a significantly reduced crowd? Or maybe that barmy Neil Doncaster should compensate them personally. There's a facebook page set up a couple of years ago, still active called: Neil Doncaster, this is all your f****** fault, f*** off out of Norwich. When he was chief executive there (for 8 years), they got relegated - TWICE! As soon as he left, they get promoted twice within 2 years!!! Coincidence? You couldn't make it up! He does love a good relegation. He'd relegate the whole SPL if he could! Now, he is the real muppet in Scottish football!
  5. I know the Juanjo incident is way in the past now and i'm sure he's even got over it but it seems that Lennon hasn't. He has a new book out (yes, he can spell!!!) 'Man and Bhoy'. It's such a good book that the Daily Record were giving it away for free a couple of weeks ago. I had no intention of reading it as it does not interest me, however I flicked the pages to the index section to see where ICT are mentioned. Twice, we are mentioned, first of all regarding the 1-0 cup defeat of Celtic when Robbo was in charge and then nearly a whole page on the Juanjo incident. Obviously for copyright reasons I cannot go into detail word for word and there is no external link, so I will keep it as non-plagiarised as possible. He mentions Juanjo 'poking his head into his face'. The TV cameras did not see it. Fourth official Alan Freeland saw it and the referee rightly sent off Juanjo. 'Juanjo said he didn't touch me - well he would say that wouldn't he?'. He finishes this segment of the book off complaining that the SFA let Juanjo off and 'imagine what would have happened if it was the other way around?' I've never had any issues with Lennon, other than the Juanjo incident and I have said for the last few years now, that it is forgotten. I know many fellow ICT fans still often bring it up during conversations about Lennon. However, Juanjo was proven innocent and there is no need for Lennon to lie like this in his book. Maybe it stirs things up by me mentioning this topic on here, but as a support we have to stick up for any of our ex players - especially good professionals like Juanjo who is having his name dragged through the gutter again. Many Celtic fans that have read this book and weren't there / didn't see the footbage / were too young will now forever associate Juanjo as a thug. We all know the truth though. He is a skilfull player, who Lennon could not cope with that day and had to cheat to win the match.
  6. Off to the Castle Tavern the now to meet SotonICT. I hope this has Dougals approval.

  8. Who was managing ICT? What was the crowd like?
  9. Well done Jnr! And to think i asked you how much the odds would be on you scoring a hatrick earlier! Should have got a wee bet on lol
  10. Onwards and upwards. Glad we have the 2 week break before the next game. Hopefully it will help with the injury tally!
  11. A source from inside the team bus going to Halkirk confirmed that he was on the phone to his agent a few times whilst still on the bus telling him to get him out of Inverness. He was raging about going to Halkirk. It does sound like he's taken a massive hissy fit and in front of other players it is a bit disrespectfull. However, he was clearly unhappy here. On his facebook on Tuesday he wrote something that was very negative and depressing about Inverness - not the team, but just him being here in general. I do like him though, but for the team, I don't think it's a huge loss - as long as we don't get more injuries!!!

  13. One thing I forgot to mention last night in the teams defence is that we did have chances - plenty in the 2nd half! Tokely hit the inside of the post and into the keepers arms. A few shots just wide. A shot that was goal bound but unfortunately Big Tade was in the way (not his fault, bit of a stramash in the box). Foran had a half volley a few yards out at a tight angle that the keeper did well to save and we scored in stoppage time - Tokely i think it was, but he was offside. We were very poor but should have won the game with our 2nd half chances. If we start to convert, then there is hope. If not, then it's time for the Private Frazer quotes! I still believe that Butcher can get us out of this mess - or at least try. I think he has made mistakes this season, but getting rid is not going to bring back Munro or Duncan. For me, i'm glad we have a manager of his calabre and this can give us a fighting chance. Remember, a win on Saturday and there is a good chance we will be off the bottom (assuming our relegation rivals Hibs lose again!)
  14. Have u got my £3.93? hahahaha!

  15. Could have used him at Ayr tonight! I met him a few times and seemed a nice guy. He loved the Tank nickname, which Red Card named him at the pre season game at Livi, which we then carried on into our pre season tour in England. After myself, IHE and Dewsbury Dude sung the Thomas the Tank theme tune at Aldershot, he came running over to us... or at least we thought he was... his mum and dad were the couple standing beside us delighted at their sons new found fame! It must be difficult coming from Manchester up to the Highlands at a young age, and I don't know the exact reasons but it just wasn't to be! I presume he's gone back to Watford? All the best Tank!
  16. First of all, a big hank you to Harry. A round of drinks on the house for all the Caley Thistle fans in the bar! (all 4 of us). Fantastic hospitality. Another thank you to Steve at Harrys other bar who gaves us all free shots after the game and supplied us with our carry out for the train back to Glasgow! Work beckons for me at 9 but i'd thought i'd post my comments before I collapse into bed. One word for tonight... pish! Absolutely pish! We didn't deserve anything and we were all over the place. I praised Roman after the Aberdeen game (despite the mistake) but he was dire tonight. He looked lost and struggled to string a pass together. (i'm picking him out because he is new and naturally folk want to hear how he played). However he wasn't the only one to have a howler. Where do i start with the performances?! To keep it brief, i'd say that the players that played well were: Tokely. Played great in midfield and had a shot hit the post. Tade. Came on with about 12 minutes to go and made a few good passes and got into a few good positions. Best i've ever seen him play. Other than that, most of the team huffed and puffed away and did feck all. Tuffey had a good save in the 1st half and could do nothing about the goal. Other than that, he had nothing much to do. What concerned me the most is the lack of ergency, Or first subsitution was with 12 minutes to go and for the whole match we played with just 1 up front. At full time, the players trudged off with heads held down and apart from Tokely and Butcher (and maybe one more) none of them acknowledged the fans. There were 22 fans in the away terracing and 14 in the stand. Thank feck I got a free ticket.
  17. Some of my friends are County fans but it's an easy one for me. I absolutely love it when they lose! Yes I suppose it would be good to have them in the SPL for the derby games and all that but I just can't help feeling good when they lose another 3 points / dumped out of a cup. When they lost 5-1 to Accies the other week, I sent a few '5-1 you scum' texts! O 2 B!
  18. Laurence loves the Caley! na na na na!
  19. You've never missed a match for years?! Thats a lot of matches to take in. How do you manage to see them all? You truly are the best supporter in the world. I think you'l find that probably everyone on this forum (maybe even the legend that is Dougal) is a more dedicated football supporter than you are. You claim to have 'supported' lots of teams throughout your life. That doesn't seem dedicated to me. When i'm your age I will be proud to say there is only 1 team for me, even if we are back in the Highland League, I will never have the same attitude as you.
  20. The highlights naturally focus on the blunder. The ball should never have been passed back to him and under pressure he tripped up - an unfortunate error. However, for the rest of the game, he played very well. He looks skilfull and played some good football. He seemed solid as well. Even the best players make mistakes. For example, Larsons first game for Celtic - he passed it across his own goal and straight to a Hibs players to score the winner. In saying that, I was surprised he started. he only met the players the afternoon before and the team have a major issue in not gelling. Throwing Roman in at the deep end was never going to help that. I presumed Thomas the Tank would have started and Roman would have started against Ayr after getting a few days to know the players. This was not the case, and I hope Terry starts him against Ayr. I saw enough of him yesterday to predict that (despite the error) he will be a good loan signing for us.
  21. How long is Mckay out for anyway?
