  1. watching live online, and Tade seems to have worked very hard today. he looks shattered now! Sutherland ineffective since coming on, and was surprised Chippendale has been hooked. Been a decent performance from ourselves today so far. Certainly better than last saturday

  5. Scotty, I totally forgot about that I think Gringo's picture is more appropriate (the one above, that is). Probably took it himself too, the sad git
  6. Just one wee thing scotty... the train picture... It's a virgin train. I know Gringo (and possibly IHE and other travelling from Ingerland-shire) will use their service, but surely a Scotrail train would be more appropriate *Starts making train noises and runs round the lounge* (Sorry, bit hyper today!) Speaking of trains, the current cheapest adult return fare from 'ness to Carntyne is ?55, with an 0918 departure from ness. If you want to walk over to Central for the Dalmarnock train, that fare is still ?55, and the train still leaves 'ness at 0918.

Heard this on the Supporters Trust bus yesterday. Not good news if thats the case as it only goes to extend the injury list.

And now, for something completely different... ESSON PIERMAYR TOKELY G.SHINNIE CHIPPENDALE TANSEY FORAN DAVIS ROSS TADE SUTHERLAND SUBS: Tuffey, Golobart, Morrison, Gillet, McKay, Proctor, A.Shinnie Personally, I dont think there is any point going into any game to play for 'damage limitation'. We should be looking to play to our strengths and simply go for it. Ross sitting behind Tade and Sutherland to start. He has a good touch, can hold the ball up well and feed the strikers through. Foran should be in the center with Tansey as both can control the midfield, leaving Chippendale and Davis to run the wings. Tade for the physical presence and Sutherland with the enthusiasm would work well in partnership I think. Our defence has been poor, and I would rather see 3 individual good performances from 3, than 1 bad individual performance in 4.
  9. The only three players I would praise yesterday were Graeme Shinnie, Nick Ross and Ryan Esson. Graeme was the only one to give at least 90% throught the match. Nick Ross was working hard down the right, despite drifting further infield, and but for the goals (which he couldnt do much about) Ryan made a few fine saves and collected crosses well. I remember he ran through a crowd of players to punch clear in the first half. Solid 'keeping there. As for the rest, they were all pretty dire. There seemed to be no communication at all, and I was particularly disappointed with Froan's display. Usually so vocal and competitive, he seemed to just go with the flow yesterday. Tade was ok in spells but sometimes slow to react and his touches were heavy and wayward. As for Andrew Shinnie, he quite rightly got a load of stick from the fans, and clearly his family defending him only added fuel to the fire. I found it particularly amusing when his mother turned round to shout how well her eldest had done to set up the equaliser, when clearly it was a fluffed shot on goal, rather than a cross. Shane didnt really seem to know where he was meant to be playing as he drifted from up-front to the right wing constantly. Rosscoe was unusually indecisive and quiet, and why on earth is Proctor still on our books. We may as well have played 3 at the back and simply move Golabart up front with Tade. He is, after all, meant to have ability up front too is he not. Overall I was very disappointed with our performance, especially after we started the game bright and were unfortunate to go behind twice. Only the Trust Bus journey on the way to and from the match made my day enjoyable, so thanks to everyone on it for raising spirits after such a dire affair.
  10. I have just finished my season with Uncle Bobs in the Forres and Nairn, so as far as I am concerned, I am now a free agent Talks with Bobs have not yet started, so if Mr Butcher wants to take a look, I understand a video highlights reel is forthcoming.

  13. Cheap seats will be well gone by now i would imagine. Megabus would be a good shout. bonus is the match tickets are only ?15, so what you've saved on normal price, you can splash out on travel.
  14. Sign me up lol It was a good game with some decent football. I thought the two new loanees did well when on the park and I liked seeing Chipendale's enthusiasm (you'll not hear me say that ever again). Tade seems to have won over a few more fans but have to agree that he needs to get his head up more and perhaps look for the squared pass rather than take on the shot. I remember one chance where G.Shinnie was free at the back post for an easy tap in but Tade took on the shot. For my first game of the season, I was reasonably impressed. Had someone offered 1-1 before kick off, i probably would have taken it!
  15. Certainly don't see any benefit for SFL fixtures switching to Fridays... SPL I could understand if it generates more TV money for clubs, but what they make in TV they'll surely lose in gate receipts??
  16. If the club were to take on the idea and indeed require some photos of potential layouts, I'll gladly give some free time on a day or evening to do different layouts and take said photos.
  17. Ha Ha Ha.... Quality.... nearly had the old man conned as to my signing on too
  18. One idea would be to hire out the Kingsmills free to companies using the facility for the first time, and offer them a 20% 'loyalty bonus' for any subsequent meetings held at TCS. Hire of equipment for the room would still be charged, and if they got their kitchen upstairs sorted out, they could do their own buffet's and simply charge per-head for the buffet. The Kingsmills would easilly sit 100 people (maybe more) in a classroom style layout. I'm sure even local schools, sports clubs and other organisations can hold functions there too. In the evenings they could hire out Kingsmills too, free of charge or at some sort of introductary discount, and make their money over the bar. If the club makes ?500 profit on each occasion (as a ball park figure) then thats ?500 they wouldn't have had before. If that happens once a week over the year, thats ?26,000 into the coffers. Performances on the park are out of the hands of any fan. What needs to be done is fans getting together to do what they can. Putting ideas from this thread forward to the club would be a fantastic start, getting them implemented is another hurdle.
  19. I'm going to abstain from the voting as i personally don't see the point in the poll, TBH. It would seem more appropriate for the poll to be changed to "should moderators have the power to remove posts/threads/users that bring nothing, if not only negativity, to the forums" EDIT: Is expecting a few red dots here, and can no doubt guess who from too
  20. And at what point, Dougal, has Alex said he has an 'anti-ICT' agenda. It seems to me like it's a mere statement of the statistics involving said match official.
  21. I think there were one or two of the fan base, myself included, that was expecting Alan Savage to come back into the hotseat. However, this is a very nice, and welcome surprise. Well done Kenny. All the best in your new role.
  22. Johndo, people don't call me Ole Gunnar Wilson for nothing pal Some cracking pictures from PeterPaul.
  23. ABSOLUTELY BUZZING  What a fantastic experience and certainly one I will never forget... I'm still stunned, and the thing is, I could have had more :ictscarf:
  24. At Grant Street? No chance... TCS mate
  25. I'll be there
