  1. I think it shows a certain degree of profesionalism and sense from Robbo that he has applied for it, rather than waiting for the club to come to him. He has clearly shown his passion for the club via his BBC report, shows a willingness and sence of loyalty to communicate and acknowledge the fans, and has the passion and commitment to take us out of this mess. I would love to see Robbo with CC as assistant and BW in a coaching role. ALL 3 have ICT at heart and will know what the club, players and fans want to see - and thats decent performances, getting results and making Inverness a place to be fearer for any team coming up the A9/A96 My Avatar says it all....
  2. I am another who was at work at the time I heard. I think delivery had just come in and i sent the boss to sort it out. I then felt the urgeto run to every football supporter in the airport terminal to express my sheer delight... thinking back - i should have used the airport tannoy. :thumb04:
  3. LIFESTYLE?????? LIFESTYLE?????? :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: This is sooooo on the brink of a huge debate
  4. I am not too sure wether brewster is full of himself, genuinely thought he was good enough or was given the wrong impression by the board - but this indeed should have happened ages ago. I can understand if he carried on for financial security, but why go so far as to tarnish an already poor managerial record further? Surely if you were in his position, you'd walk knowing you tried before it got too late. I certainly wouldnt like to see 2 sackings in 2 years on my CV, nor would I employ someone with such stats. Robbo left us in good form for a bigger club and to follow a dream - fair play to him. He was probably the backbone and strength throughout the club getting us into the SPL. No hard feelings from ANY fan. Pele left for better things leaving ICT well placed in the SPL leaving a balanced team behind. The only ill will is how comments from the assistant coach at the time brought the switch about. Christie quit as he knew the pressures of the job were getting to him and his family, and ultimately upsetting the team. He, again, had ICT's best interests at heart and left for the sake of a better ICT - in hindsight, he probably should have stayed!!!
  5. why would we want to take another backward step and bring Robbo back; the board today corrected a mistake. lets hope they dont make another one so soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robbo had his time and did well but just like CB is part of our history now. I have stated (as have others) the reasoning as to why Robbo would be successful - most notibly his local residency, availability, managerial statistics and his passion for the club. May I now add to that the fact Robbo was a brilliant MANAGER last time, where as brew was a brilliant PLAYER MANAGER last time. Robbo would in a sense just be walking back into the building to a job he knows how to do, and not switching from an on-field moral boost to a silent dug out such as the outgoing manager did.

Damn right i'm going... the once lost enthusiasm is back, and perhaps a Conga Line of celebration is in order. Now We're Rid of Brewster Now We're Rid of Brewster We'll beat the drop HEY We'll beat the drop HEY
  7. My avatar says it all from my opinion.
  8. Is that really what you'd have done Gringo, walked away just because the fans were calling for you to go, and deprived your family and yourself several thousand pounds in the process? I have been in the position before a couple of times where I have had to make a simlar dicision. When I first became Night Manager I was very young and you could say inexperienced in certain aspects of the job. I either had to become more abrupt and focused or think about my role... and I toughened up and earned the respect of many people within the hotel and can safely say all parties were pleased with my work. When I first moved to scotland, I did everything the boss asked of me & more and tried my hardest, ultimately we both agreed I wasnt up to her own exteremly high standards and I decided to leave before things got worse and tarnished an otherwise decent working reputation within the trade - knowing I did my best and tried my hardest, but perhaps it wasnt good enough. So... would I walk just because the fans say I should??? No, I wouldnt, but I would certainly look deeply into WHY they want me out and HOW i can become better... if there is no solution, then I would walk away with a shread of dignity and knowing I did the right thing for the future of the club. I hope that makes sense.
  9. Football is not like any other run of the mill job. It's about honour, loyalty, commitment and the fine line between win and loose. I don't want to take this thread off topic and sway away from the thanks that brewster deserves - I just think he would have had a hell of a lot more respect and dignity if he walked, rather than leaving it too late. The fans were calling for his job months ago.
  10. Rangers, at home, 2-1 and it WASNT on amature/beginner mode either. :thumb04:
  11. SMEE - That can't be brewster... the sentence lasts longer than 5 words and doesn't contain any 'Ers', 'Erms' or 'der's!!! :thumb04: The fans understand that we have 4 tough games coming up, but I seriously think we will shine from now until season close. Only down side is, if robbo takes over, he'll not be joining the full Highland March... lol
  12. I actually don't think my comments were unfair or unjust. Myself, and others, have said before he should walk away with the knowledge he tried rather than wait till it is too late... unfortunately, he waited too long and the inevetable happened. I truely thank Brewster for his efforts as he clearly thought he was doing his best - his best, however, was not good enough. All the best to Malky too with his future.
  13. I've not read through too many of the posts on this thread, so forgive me if i repeat anything... to all those who say a fresh start is needed: 1 - We've got the fresh, Brewster is gone - thats as fresh as it gets!!! 2 - A new, inexperienced manger is NOT what this club needs, regardless of if it saves compensation etc. 3 - Pressley & Wilson would make Ideal assistants. They both have their badges and have the drive and ambition to make it, without the brewster ego to go with it - They certainly are not management material, yet... Just like Ally McCoist at Gers. 4 - Robbo in temporary charge until the end of the season would be fantastic, especially if CC or BW were his assistant. We need people who have ICT at heart and dont just see us as their first tast of management. We are a 5-year established SPL side, not amature Highland League (am I saying this right), and we deserve to be shown the proper drive and ambition from people who care for the club. 5 - The decision to have Robbo till the end of the season will give the board time to make a decision as to wether robbo can cut it for a longer term, rather than bring in a fresh face who would need at least a full pre season to figure out the teams faults, strengths and best starting 11 - not to mention transfers. BRING BACK ROBBO
  14. All I'm going to say is this... Thank you Mr Brewster for what may well have been your best interests, ideas and intentions. I see at as just a shame you didnt walk away sooner with at least some dignity, as your undoubted status as a decent player has been well and truely tarnished as a manager.
  15. A very long winded thread already but i thought i'd add my own comment... YOU F***IN BEAUTY *Runs round house screaming with sheer delight, waving hands in the air like an excitable kid at christmas* The best thing to happen at Caley Stadium since 26th September........ YAHOOOOOOO!!!
  16. The Mrs was gonna get me one for my christmas, but I told her to get me something more entertaining... So I got a Nintendo DS with FIFA and guess what - I HAD A CALEY THISTLE HOME WIN!!!! Well worth the dosh...

Despite the majority of fans staying away, may I suggest we all congregate in one mass with banners, and make our feelings known. I'm sure we'd get less trouble from the stewards there than what we do at home, and besides, if we get kicked out, there's always the pub and an outside protest. lol

    Brewster Poll

of the 10% of people who have said he should stay, how many think it's because we're already knackered and the damage has already been done (we're too late to change and already doomed), and how many actually think he CAN get us out of this mess...

If Brewster was had a guest appearance in The Simpsons... :thumb04: :018: Derby County changed their manager and went on to beat Manchester United. Norwich sacked their boss and won their next game 4-0 Blackburn, Leeds, Spurs and Bournemouth have also all got rid of their managers this season, and have ALL been performing a lot lot better, and in most cases getting a result. This, surely, cannot be a coinsidence???? The Board need to wake up and see just what CB is doing to our club...

The only reason I am still heading down is I have arranged to meet up with a few friends I have not seen since my wedding. A pish up if you will. I too am getting less and less enthsiastic about going to support my team.

I am seriously thinking of another e-mail to the club... Saying that, I am still waiting for a response to the last e-mail I sent a few weeks ago!!!

    Brewster Poll

We've all had the debate on Robbo before, so lets not turn this into another robbo for manager thread (although I personally think he is the man) If Brew is at the helm till the end of the season and we are relegated, how is he going to motivate the team to perform next season in arguably the toughest league to get out of? We need a new manager in place to sort the team out, boost moral and get the lads playing football properly instead of out of position and after a session of running and gym routines throug the week. At least then, if we do go down, the new manager will already have an idea of who to keep, who to bring in, and how to get us back in the SPL...

Utter disgrace!!! Bring your flags, banners and voices and lets get ourselves heard........ again. Lets be behind the team, but let our feelings known

If we can all get together in the stands and make some noise to get behind the team. I'll have my flag too, so we can also get a brewster out protest on the go too... I got some 4 meter rolls of wrapping paper on sale at work for a quid if anyone wants to make a huge banner or 6... lol
