  1. the gasses were certainly flowing that weekend!!! surprised that as it was a truck stop, noone thought to 'loan' a WIDE LOAD sign and stick it on my ass. lol

  3. not good news at all... hope it's not as serious as that.
  4. It was an absolutely amazing day. even all our guests forgot it was a football stadium as soon as the meals and speaches were starting. I have some great photos of the day and will get a couple online soon no doubt. The club were amazing throughout. it could not have been planned better. we didnt even realise they were going to make the huge banner that you see in the picture, and for it to be on pictch side on saturday was ace. CD was definately best man for the job. the way he gave his speach was somethings i've never seen before, and it was truely an honour to have Scotty and some Highland Marchers there for the day (without whom myself and Mrs Jnr would never have met...) What a gesture though from the player (who shall not be named here) that left me flabergasted. You know who you are and we are eternally greatful. We shall be in touch soon once we decide what our plans are. Thanks again - i owe you more than a pint for this one!!!

  9. Indeed, myself and Brew Army (along with 2 close Utd fans of ours) intended to head to the game today. Train was due out of Inverness 1044. The queue system at the ticket office was dire and the staff less than helpful when the delay was realised. the train was due from Glasgow (1132) then turn about to Edinburgh @ 1150 (the idea to change at perth and get to the stadium close to kick-off). No update announcements, no details on the departure boards and the man in the ticket office said he 'wasn't bothered'. We even tried to get onto the Aberdeen service for a connection, but the guard told us to ask in the ticket office for permission... strange as she would have been in charge of this service? Another long wait in the queue meant we missed that one too - then the news of our cancellation. What a farce it all turned out to be!!! The earliest we could then make dundee was 1615 on the bus... shocking service and we were even messed about for any refunds... I suppose I could have walked it, but the lack of corned beef sarnies and no maps to hand made this near on impossible. lol
  10. the fat slags meeting went ahead despite me turning up late
  11. Going for another draw this week... hope to be top of the league again with this one... Albion v Montrose draw @ 3.40
  12. Thank you all for your messages. All who turned up had a great time. The ceremony was fantastic and there were a few tears in the crowd. Julie looked stunning, and was only outshone by myself Once again, thank you all. See you at the game later
  13. Stranraer v Arbroath draw @ 3.40
  14. After listening to a desturbing fact that came through from a fan on radio, I too am more sceptical than ever about mr Brewster. In 2008, before tonights match... we had won just 7 games in 31 - 3 of which came agianst gretna we had scored just 31 goals - 11 of which came against gretna. not sure if these figures are accurate or not, but even so, it's sent shivers down my spine that we are in fact being sent to the slaughter by a man who would be more fitting to any football club as a fitness coach rather than a manager. I was all for giving him a fair go again at ICT, but based on the performances of late, I am not so sure that he is the man for us. The only consistant part to our team is the ability to under-perform against any opponent.
  15. nope - i'm a plane spotter.... speaking of plane, have you ever wondered why you get 'plane' flavors and not 'helicopter' flavour?
  16. If you are refering to flights out of Inverness, BMI no-longer operate and havn't done for at least 3-4 months. Perhaps one reason I rarely see 'PartTimer' in the terminal with a bottle of cheap magners. Ryanair pulled their flights to Liverpool months ago also. It was popular one week and not the next, so I guess the reason for this being pulled was inconsistancy. As for their East Midlands Flight, this is more likely due to the price of fuel. As far as I am aware, there will be just 2 flights a week now rather than 4. Easyjet are pulling quite a few flights because of fuel prices and the current ecconomic climate blah blah blah. Understandable when passenger numbers are notoriously low throughout the winter timetable. Flybe are cutting some flight. Exter springs to mind. Not a popular flight when you consider flights head to Bristol and Southampton also. Add to that the trip from Exeter stops by Aberdeen instead of travelling Direct. Flights to Birmingham and Manchester will probably stay the same baring in mind Eastern Aiirways no longer operate these routes. Winter timatable should be on Inverness Airport website for all flights
  17. Elgin v Albion draw @ 3.50
  18. I think you mean Coventry 'Nil' Donaldo! There was a 'club' before but we have mostly moved North of the Border. The 'E&WMBICTFCSC' (thats the East and West Midlands Branch of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club Supporters' Club) This consisted of KingBeastie (King's Palace, Leicester to Glasgow via Inverness) Paulibee (The 'Bee' Hive, Birmigham to Inverness) Mrs Paulibee (The 'Bee' Hive, Birmingham to Inverness) Myself (Gringo Towers, Coventry 'nil' to Inverness) All that remains are Gringo (Gringo Towers, Coventry 'nil') MrsGringo (Gringo Towers, Coventry 'nil') Perhaps I should register the club name somewhere - it would no doubt break a world record for the longest name of any 'club' or 'association'... wouldn't like to pay for the engraved brass plaque above the door though.
  19. Car repairs come at a price you know!!!

He plays on the left He plays on the ri-i-ght That boy Don Cowie, makes your team look ***** (Stolen from a Man U Chant Re: Ronaldo) I saw my mate, the other day, He said to me he saw the white Pele, So I asked, who is he? He goes by the name of Adam Rooney, Adam Rooney, Adam Rooney, He goes by the name of Wayne Rooney. (Stolen from another Man U chant about Gary Pallister ) Oh Inverness (Oh Inverness) Is Wonderful (Is Wonderful) Oh Inverness is wonderful It's got a Bridge, and a castle Oh Inverness Is wonderful Oh Aberdeen (Oh Aberdeen) Is full of Sheep (Is full of sheep) Oh Aberdeen is full of Sheep Its full of sheep, sheep and more sheep Oh Aberdeen is full of sheep S**t refs, We always get s**t refs, We always get s**t refs, We always get s**t refs... 21. One man went to mow! etc We got barry barry barry barry wilson on our wing Rossco - rossco - rossco What a ****y home support?
  22. Our next Home game is the day after my wedding at the stadium... I think most of my wedding guests are intending on joining us for the match. They won't know many songs, but I for one intend to teach them Lets just get behind the team from start to finish. If we think brew should make a sub, then lets tell him in song rather than muttering to ourselves. If we think a player has made an excellent contribution, chant his name. Is there not a thread elsewhere for ideas for new songs. I am sure the section G lads have a few ideas. The quality or ideas can only be recognised when out in the open, not locked indoors!
  23. I was among the goupe with Alex and we sang a couple of times - granted sitting down - and on a few occasions the boys at the back remained quiet. I understand and truely believe it is not these boys responsibility to get the crowd going, but when they say they will join in and don't, there seems little or no point even starting ourselves. This may be why Alex tried to get the boys to bang the drum. Why take it to the match and not hit it unless we're winning? I dont think he tried to wind you up, but perhaps if the drum beat gets going, then some other may join in. I also agree with what is said about the abuse towards Rory. Totally un called for. What confidence can it give the lad if whenever he comes to warm up he gets dogs abuse. Furthermore, it was good-natured banta between Dougie Imrie and Alex. Imrie acknowledged Alex with a rye smile and carried on... no abuse intended or dished out IMO there. Lets get behind the boys in unison. I know we can all do it so long as we join forces and not stick to the wee groups who at the minute seem to be trying to out-abuse one another.
  24. if you look closely, it looks like Gringo has a dummy in his gob.
  25. Dismal performance by both sides. before the penalty I seriously thought we'd be heading to a boring 0-0 draw. What made the game worse for me was the 3 substitutions... Why was rooney taken off and not wood. I thought Rooney and Black were our best players. Had rooney not hit the bar, we would surely have gone on to all 3 points. He needed someone like barrowman alongside him, as - like someone else said - wood didnt seem to know wether to pass or shoot when the ball landed at his feet. Even Barry Wilson seemed off the pace and out of the game.
