Munro & Duncan Testimonial Match
It was a good day, I left it with happy memories of our club, our players of old and their ability to do a job well. Please dont turn it into a Terry Butcher topic as there are loads of good things to comment on. Hes the reason why they were having a testimonial in the first place so probably thought it was for the best staying away.

Munro & Duncan Testimonial Match
What a great day, we get to see our up and coming players have a go at County, get entertained by a beyonce lookalike at half time, see a good turn out of well respected footballers from days gone by playing again and get a chance to say goodbye to 2 of them. What a great way to celebrate my birthday, So thanks to all those who put in the time and effort to make it such a good day out for Grant and Russell.

A better man than most of us then. Not drinking or swearing only gives the appearance of being good, Doing good things makes a man a better man.

Muirfield investment?
Im glad they are investing now, nearly 20 years ago maybe it would have only been £50 each. If the stadium was owned outright 18 years ago then its quite likely we would owe a bank a fair bit of cash by now instead.

ICT -V- Aberdeen
I must be misinterpreting your post but are you saying that you think that was a good call as Foran was offside whilst in his own half? Whats ur problem? is it Foran being off side or is it the own half words. He wasnt in his own half when the ball was kicked but was near the centre line when he was flagged, he ran back towards the back line because he was off, ran back to be alongside the line of the defense then ran forwards again, low and behold the flag goes up, thats the rules. I got a pretty good view from where i was sitting. If the pass was played a tad later when he was level with the last man he would have been ok. I would say it was a good call and I also stated that the linesman missed a few others, the ref also missed plenty of fouls.

Considering he was offside I dont have a problem with it, he was off and started running back to his own half why do that unless your off and was onside when he receives the ball but he was off when it was kicked. why bother going loopy at the officials when your off? The linesman was poor anyway and didnt flag for Doran or Foran receiving the ball whilst offside playing toward the north stand but whos complaining . We were comfortable on the ball in the 1st half and controlled the game, once they went ahead we seemed to bottle it a bit which was a shame as we had loads of time available to make things happen. we still had the same players on the park but let them have the ball a lot more. unfortunately its no goals and no points. Plus points Doran looks like the man to chip in with a few goals for next season.

Tade offered new deal!
We have a few players who have come on well in their 1st year in the SPL and Tades one of them so he deserves another year.

Our oldest rivalry
Well the tinks are 55 mins away from being promoted tonight. I can see a few similarities, we won the title without kicking a ball due to Dundee losing mid week, we then played AYR straight after too, lets see them try and score 7 goals on Wednesday.

St Johnstone -V- ICT
From watching the tv highlights a few times I would say he was trying to win a penalty from Tuffey and had already started going to ground but Tuffeys hands were well clear, Golobart got tangled slightly but only because the the player was already going down,he still won the ball though. Good refereeing. Just like against Celtic, the player hopes for a penalty and the left leg goes lame, if he had stayed on his feet he would have probably been awarded one over the next couple of steps so both players instigated their downfall, erm I mean instigated their fall down

Our oldest rivalry
County will probably be ok, two things they will bring with them into the league is an abundance of self belief and confidence. It gave the Pars a boost when they first arrived too. Any club could go down tbh, at the start of the season I didnt think the Pars would be where they are, I didnt think that Hibs would only be slightly better than them, I didnt think that Killy would win a cup, I didnt think Rangers would go bust and I didnt think that you would have needed 49 points to get into the top six this year. As a wild card its possible that Dundee get relegated.

Muirfield investment?
I wondered why a few expensive looking cars left the stadium in a hurry this morning when I drove by. You should have seen the dust cloud they left. For those who hadnt sussed I thought CDs post would be a April 1st wind up so added a bit more.

How did you become a fan?
Im not one of the Caley or Thistle premerger clan, I was taken to a Thistle game once when I was about 10 or 11 but I felt bored,(awaiting a smart comment from the Caley fans) I would rather play football as a child than watch it, I think it was something to do with struggling to stand still for 10 minutes as a child never mind a full 90 but I now realize you can learn different things watching football being played than just playing at football. Years later,I moved job and a few work colleagues were ex County players and one of them currently played for them, all that was talked about was football, football, and more football, so I decided to go and see what all the fuss was about. My first match was Caley Thistle v County in div 3. I decided that I would stand in the home end and support the local team even though a workmate would be playing for County that day. I took one one of my pals sisters friends who was a Caley fan, ( I though to myself going to football has its perks) we humped them, 4-0 I think and have been going ever since. I used to go to about 75 % of home games through the years plus a few aways, I enjoyed many giant killing cup games and decided to get a season ticket when we went into the SPL for the first time,(excluding Pittodrie) I bought it as a way of gratitude for taking ICT from the 3rd Division to the SPL. Reflecting on our past, reminds me to go to a match on the 22nd of April, to pay homage to a couple of players that Ive enjoyed watching over the years.

It seems like so long ago since they moved on. I know its a home league game the day before but Ive been watching these guys play for the shirt for years so I'll be there and its only ten quid.

Muirfield investment?
No can do. Fair enough the name "Muirfield Mills" enabled me to work out who they probably were on the basis of stuff I knew from the past. However I then had to rely on a contact to confirm my suspicions so I feel obliged to respect their wishes for anonymity and regard that as privileged off the record information which I am not prepared to place in the public domain - unless the names appear anywhere else in the media in which case I would then feel entitled to broadcast the information within the hour. Are you sure you could wait that long. Is the name to do with an Edinburgh glof club and Bridgemill direct. Perhaps they were born in a windmill next to a field in Muir of Ord.

Team for St Johnstone
Not sure of the formation yet but was thinking of the following. Starting 11 1, Unity 2, Belief 3, Composure 4, Consistency 5, Fluid 6, Sharp 7, Alert 8, Fit 9, Responsive 10,Quality 11,Creative The bench, 17, Youth 52, Experience 45, Eagerness 32, Patience 28, Fresh legs I though if we field players who are, Sharp, Alert, Fit, Responsive, Fluid and Creative, with Belief, Unity, Composure, Consistency and Quality. We would have a pretty good team. For the bench Ive added Youth and Experience and though Fresh legs may make a difference later on in the game. The ones who didnt travel were, sloppy, lazy, tired, arrogant, slow, predictable, inconsistent and half asleep

Do you still believe?
Its possible, Ive witnessed every single player we have play exceptionally well so I know how good they can be. Maybe its time to chillax a little and instead of aiming for perfection most of the time, just try and be good. As for 3 points why not, Ive seen ICT play outstandingly good and lose, Ive also seen them be poor and win. So I'll settle for being good and see if the points come our way.

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
We are playing better football now than previous seasons its just our strikers cant score and that shows in results, I dont want a revolving door for players at the end of every season either and would rather keep our strikers but probably more to play along side someone else/bench. I didnt make the game on Wednesday and had a pint in the Ormond bar instead as was working away but their local team has Sheridan, Sanfrancisco Sanzada and now Riordan up front. Whats important is for us is to play the best players, for the style of our play and favoritism impedes that. An ex Dons player was asking me about OTJ, regarding the Aberdeen match and was full of praise for the player. If we were to pick our best team for next season OTJ would be there, A Shinnie would be in front, Hayes on the right, Tade or possibly another, on the left wing and a decent striker up front which only leaves one more place in midfield to play alongside OTJ and we have 2 candidates Just pick the best players for the right positions because they are the best. Stratford and Eagle weakened the morale of the club in the 1st div because they were picked above others, the same applies today. whether its getting picked or wearing an armband they have to earn it.

Post Split Fixtures - Out Now
The SPL are releasing the fixtures this week.
-
ICT -V- Hibernian
When you believe that 1 winger has a better chance of scoring than 2 strikers and you have more faith in 2 central defenders scoring than the 2 midfielders infront, considering 1 is a free kick specialist and one was deployed as a striker for a while, then you know you have problems.
-
ICT -V- Hibernian
I dont know what to say, Im lost for words, if we got points for corners and wasted chances we would be top of the league.
