Where did you park? did you go to the shop, bar, buy 50/50, programme or half time food drink. just to jog your memory and rule out a couple of things. when did you notice they were gone. Apologies for asking a silly question but was your car locked or unlocked when you got back to it.

Smaller crowds not surprised. Ive just been looking at some SPL stats make up your own mind if you can see a pattern emerging Attendance figures per season. Livingston y1, 134601,( finish 3rd), y2 129735, y3 97220. Partick y1, 117298, y2, 89487 Falkirk, y1, 104795, y2 107730, y3 105785, y4 107158, St Mirren y1, 106562, y2 86400, y3 102814,( new stadium) y4 83859, y5 84545, y6 85365. Hamilton y1, 72634, y2 57098, y3 55056. St Johnstone y1 89632, y2 72982, y3 75054 (top 6 finish, more away fans) ICT y1, 85998, y2 76441. y3 ? dip expected. In general it appears that fans support a winning team in division 1, then follow the success into the SPL, reality kicks in that they wont win most games and some fans find something else to do. Ourselves on our 1st visit to the SPL and Falkirk seemed to buck the trend. this time round we are just following suit with the rest of the teams in the SPL. I will expect Falkirk to follow the same trend too on their next visit to the SPL We arent having a disaster regarding attendances, we are just following the national trend regarding Scottish football, it will also drop a bit more than usual by not having Rangers for the next few seasons but I believe the investment in our young fans will help us in the long run. According to statistics its not the players or managements fault its just how it is. So at least we can put this one to bed and get on with the football.

A lot of us have really turned into a bunch of negative minded whingers. So perhaps some tips could be left here to improve the well being of the site users. I would deem moving this to general nonsense as an act of negativity. http://sourcesofinsight.com/top-10-confidence-boosters-that-work/ Once you have got through steps 1-10. You should have the confidence for step 11, thats liberating yourself by singing yer f**king head of at a football match. step 12 is having the confidence and self belief to start the singing.

I dont know where the stats would come from but I would say that could be pretty feasible considering there cant be a lot of prospects in Dingwall. Would it be surprising to say that half of Forfars st holders may live in Dundee, or perhaps half of Partick thistle fans dont live in Partick. Regarding their stats their usually a bit evasive, their Celtic match was going to be a sellout, then extra tickets were made available on the Celtic website ? followed by extra tickets being made available at the home end??. 6110 was the attendance for their 2nd home game in the SPL v Celtic, which had 10 more supporters than us against Celtic on Saturday and we no longer have the 'SPL for the 1st time' novelty factor. Their first game in the SPL should have been a full house and it wasnt, in our last game of the season in div 1 against ST Johnstone, when we were crowned 1st div champions for the first time, we even completely filled the away end, the unlucky ones who couldnt get in watched the match from the A9. Our first SPL match would have been a sell out too if it wasnt for the fact it was played in Aberdeen. Where does all the panic and worry stem from with regards to Ross County, they had a good season in div 1, like most teams they have carried the confidence and belief through to the SPL. thats about it really and good luck to them while it lasts. I hope they stay in the SPL for as many season as the can but 8 season later, they wont have the same players, will probably have gone through a few managers, the SPL novelty factor will be long gone and the attendances will be lower. In the meantime I wish them well.

Hibs v ST Johnstone has just started on ALBA if you fancy watching teams we can probably beat.
-
Is that including the team

I think he was just gesturing the fans to make some noise. Well done to the family section, they made more noise than the whole of the main stand and the standing section, for the last 10 mins.

You never know you may even come back with the Flamenco Clap.

Back to the footy. Celtic will have a lot of players missing, their game on Wednesday is worth £15,000,000 to them and they dont have Rangers to worry about if they drop 3 points at the start of the season. Its still a difficult game but we've proven that even with 10 men and 2 goals down against quality opposition we dont give up. I think we can take them.

You missed out the obvious route A82, A85, A90. Or perhaps A9 North to Scrabster, ferry to Stromness drive to Kirkwall, catch the 11pm ferry to Aberdeen, then A90 south to Dundee.
-
Im hoping to be singing that myself after 90 mins + et, By the way IHE, if Celtic take a bashing youve to do a pattercake pattercake performance for ICT tv.
-
The bad news, Caley D has mentioned in the past that part of our contractual obligations with SKY ESPN is that fixtures may be moved and we dont get any extra cash for moving a game. ( please correct if Im wrong) However the Dundee match is being covered by BBC ALBA so Im assuming there should be some cash on the table. BBC ALBA are covering a Dundee game on a Saturday, County are playing against Dundee Utd the evening before so it would make sense if ALBA covered that game too. I have a question though, when will the game be on TV if its shown on BBC ALBA IHE 14/9 United v County TV ? 15/9 Dundee v Motherwell ALBA 5/10 ICT v County ESPN 19/10 Dundee v ICT ALBA 20/10 United v Aberdeen ALBA Friday night football also means a rare Saturday off for the team.

If the police can call off a game because the public may be at risk due to ice and snow on the way to a stadium, then why cant they raise the issue of distance traveled and sleep deprivation Mon to Fri. Motherwell v St Mirren, Killy, Celtic, Hearts or Hibs no problem. Dundee v united, Aberdeen or St Johnstone no problem ICT v County no problem. Further distances distances for an evening KO where it can be avoided isnt just stupid, its dangerous! If I were to drive for 2-3 hours to watch a game straight after work with no break or food then I am putting myself, passengers and other road users at a greater risk and its solely down to the laziness of organizing the SPL fixtures and deciding which may be used for tv. Im not against Friday night football but common sense seems to be lacking, not only will Dundee miss out on away fans but the traveling fans that do make it will be a danger to themselves and others on the road.
-
Im looking forward to this one, our team plays well together and are against a confident Celtic team who have finally won a European away fixture. So Celtic shouldnt have any excuses about being tired from the travel to the games theyve played of late. fingers crossed Celtic wont tire out too early and we will get a good match to watch for a full 90 mins

Scarlet, I'm afraid it's not really obvious at all. You said - Judging by the way ICT are playing compared to County I think they are going to roast them which actually contains a double ambiguity. Firstly you haven't said in which direction you are making the comparison with between ICT (who have made a better start than last season) and County (who have made a very good start in the SPL,) Secondly you haven't defined which of ICT and County are referred to by "they" and "them". There's nothing really wrong with your grammar on the other hand - except maybe that since you clearly aim to make a contrast between the two sides, then you might have been better to have said "compared WITH County". Hmm, 'I usually find it hard to lecture people older than myself', I used the word 'hard' and just for a bit of clarity, I meant difficult, as opposed to, I get aroused lecturing an older generation. Only kidding Charles as I know you would have typed that in jest.

Aberdeen had a good crowd for their friday night game it drew in a lot of people who normally work on a saturday and its a 100 times better than a Monday night

Found this whilst doing a search. Inverness looks really busy, no tv back then. http://ssa.nls.uk/film.cfm?fid=1535

Whats the solution? What are you going to do?

Thats a nice gesture SP, I made a donation to the Archie appeal (upgrading the childrens ward at Raigmore hospital) via MFR last year and got a nice email back. Perhaps the supporters trust can ask a few questions on your behalf at the next meeting on the wisest way to make your donation go further. I am led to believe that if a person with special needs requires a carer, their carer will receive funding to get into an event for free, I know of someone who used to do this to visit Eden Court, as for the orphanage, these days children are temporarily put into care due to a bereavement or domestic issues, funding may be put into place from the social work to take a child out for the day? perhaps foster carers / guardians may need help. Or perhaps if a child is put into care the money could go towards taking the child's, brothers or sisters to a match with a social worker. Not really my forte but Im sure a few experts could discuss and see what is the wisest way to utilize your donation. Scarlet, I found a bit of Inverness footage from the 50s whilst looking for an Inverness Orphanage so will stick it on the nostalgia page. -
Great result, 2 nil down with 10 men, the team spirit must be strong just now. I wonder what the tactics will be for Celtic.

By the way A96, would you or those living in your area be more inclined to go to the match if for instance the Aberdeen/Elgin buses route entailed dropping off at the Clydesdale bank and picked up at Moray firth Maltings for the home journey? Its only a slight route change but opens up the accessibility for the Longman, the Stadium and its free for pensioners. If the Balloch, Culloden and Smithton bus occasionally took this route all non car drivers have access to the likes of Wicks ,B&q, Tiso's, HIS just to name a few, I would get the bus in on a Saturday and have a few in the bar.

If you normally buy season tickets why didnt you use your own free complimentary tickets, you would have got in first time when you decided to queue at a ticket only booth, you would have sat in the main stand as you wished to do and could have typed nice words about getting in for free. Someone kindly gave you free tickets and its still a bad day for you. It is expensive taking youngsters into the main stand but the club need the cash for the prime seats, thats why its cheap in the family section.

Penalty from not a lot, High ball and walked into the net for a goal, a shot on goal, a header on goal and a foul on OTJ. Thats all that the BBC could show of Killy playing against us, all the rest is ICT, some of the miseries commenting on how bad things are and some weren't even there ?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/19236092#asset

The games on BBC ALBA and Im looking forward to the team showing the doubters what they can do.
