Well said proctor, Its a sport and should be based on honesty and integrity, not profiteering. If any clubs from the EPL run up depts and get kicked out does that mean the SPL will take them in as they may have a large fan base and can make a bit more cash? What happens if Rangers stay in the SPL and finish in 12th place, new rules to avoid them getting relegated ? The reputation of Scottish football is at risk if they stay in the league.

Ive been speaking to a few Rangers fans at work down by the Clyde and they want Division 3. Theyve told me they've done wrong and want to start afresh, kick out the high earners and start again with their youngsters playing for the badge they dont need a high earning Coisty either for div 3 and they dont want it rubbed in their face that they did wrong and got away with it, will also be a huge boost for the lower leagues. I would expect a few Gers fans will join in too

They paid all their debts to us I believe. Did they pay up or did the SPL pay up on their behalf.

Big problem here, I think the point you're missing is so obvious. It's about more than talent. Pro football is a trade, just like plumbing or joinery. Apprentices serve their time and then are kept on or leave to find another club. Unless the player is an exceptional talent he will not play in the SPL at 17- most players are in their mid 20s. Ross debuted at 17 in div 3 and worked hard and continued to develop. Each time he has stepped up and continued to learn the game. So even if his legs have gone he has 7 years SPL experience. Compare him to Richard Hastings who at 17 was tipped for great things but seemed to stop developing about the age of 21 as many folk here will tell you. So as I said I will be delighted if Gary Warren proves people wrong at the age of 27 or whatever but I gave you plenty of examples where Butcher has got it wrong in the past. So it's nothing to do with the HL being as good as the BSBP. Although back in 96 when Ross signed for ICT, the HL select WAS capable of giving the English equivalent a game, it was an annual fixture. Nowadays it would be no contest I reckon. Not wanting to get into how good bad or indifferent Tokely is or was.......never having seen him play (to my knowledge.) I responded as I did on all threads purely based on the fact that he went to the media whining as soon as he was offered a contract which didn't suit him....or at least as soon as he could ensure he wouldn't be able to get an appropriate send off from the fans, because I have no idea how long he had already been thinking about it. Do you? Care to point me at any media whining from other ICT players who were not offered a contract which suited their opinion of their worth to the club? And care to point me at any other player who then on two other occasions went whining to the media to emphasise they were not given what they thought they deserved? I'm not asking anyone to have faith and promising everything will be fine. I'm asking everyone to have faith and stop sodding assuming everything won't be fine based on a level of no knowledge and never having seen new signings play. See, I can't attend first team ICT games at the moment, though I hope to in the future (Highland Council willing)......which is why I never give an opinion on their ability in the match threads or the various other threads devoted to trashing players (though in the latter I might comment on unrealistic expectations depending on the player being trashed)...because I have never seen them play and feel that this fact means I have nothing sensible to say because I would be posting from a position of no knowledge and feel I have no right to comment in that case. Tbh. even if I was able to attend games, I'd likely be more inclined to put positional errors and mis-kicks down to pressure or bad luck rather than incompetence, not trying or being another Butcher failure, because I don't think anybody, regardless of their occupation, deliberately sets out on a job to fail...but that's just me. Not sure if I said it on this thread or one of the others in which I have posted in the same vein, but this is the face that ICT presents to the world and it in general, doesn't give a particularly good impression. I have been reading the jailender forum on the Ross County site, and I don't think many posters on there are a lot better than on here. I'm referring in particular to the comments about Ross Tokely.....but they at least have been watching him and listening to him for 16 years, have seen him play and have formed their opinion over time, rightly or wrongly, not just on the back of a report in a paper. Having seen Tokely play hundreds of times I can safely say that hes a no nonsense defender who just gets on with it, not one to overdramatize collisions, if he takes a knock you wouldnt even know and has been a great ambassador for the club. So I would imagine that hes feeling pretty hard done by to speak to the media. None of us seem to know how much of a cut in wage was offered but if it was a 10-15% cut and you knew you were in your final year with a testimonial on offer would you accept. how low would it have to be to have to walk away.

Are there any experts on grass on this forum? If their newly laid grass is a 1'' high and its 8wks to the start of the season, never mind the stadium will the grass be ready in time? Looks like the ground share may def be on the cards. With the new seats, I think the Jail end will lose the strength of its voice, we have the same problems but their stand looks like it will have even less depth to the seating area than us. Better than us? no way, they dont even have a proper road in and out of the stadium

Some posters are suggesting that like for like season ticket sales are down on last year. If you did miss the deadline or havent had a season ticket before, then a window of opportunity has appeared to bag yourself some good seats up out of the rain.
-
Whos got the sweeper role? cos by the looks of things one of them have just taken a dump on the road.
-
Is this this a genuine story? I hope so. http://www.north-star-news.co.uk/Sport/Football/Inverness-Caley-Thistle/Call-me-Terry-Ian-Black-7967195.htm Im sure he's family would love to come back too, Inverness is a great place.

If the poll had more of a scale, I think the picture would be clearer as opposed to a yes /no option. It certainly will be Mr Bs squad now so I hope he choses wisely with the players he can bring in and soon finds a style of play that suits the players he has.
-
I think all of div 1 would have to go pt first
-
Just a quick reminder that if you cant afford to pay for a season ticket in one go, then paying by installments is an option, with the early bird discount taken off the full cost, I believe it only works out at a couple of pounds more than the cost of the full price season ticket over the whole year. Which of course is a saving as opposed to paying at the gate for home matches. This also guarantees you getting a seat for the Historical very first SPL Highland Derby

I also recall a poster previously stating that there were a few things to be done off the pitch, I think the concourse area in the main stand was mentioned,I dont know if that is still the case but if theres a shortfall then I would assume thats the priority. But I am envious of the main stands south concourse area. If someone wanted to start supporting ICT this is a bonus getting a seat here, as at half time you can go and get a pie in the warmth, a blessing in the middle of winter, the decors nice and you can watch half time football on the TVs. ( this is because its the ICT bar area before and after the match)

Give yourself a shake ffs, who is this exactly aimed at? considering this over reactive reaction has arrived after myself , IHE and Dougal have posted. Dougals a wind up merchant, IHE is crazy and make your own mind up about me. Give yourself a sake ffs CD, stirring the **** and looking for an argument, if that causes offense then lead by example and dont overreact and type the same to others. Any post from ICT shop is welcome but suggesting that people are people knocking their pan in, is blowing things out of proportion. This post was not started by ICT shop, 'Season ticket prices frozen' was not started by ICT shop, which has been running for the last month by the way. Some posters do their bit by leaving positive comments regarding season tickets and keep the topics active and up with the most recent topics. ICT shops one and only post over the last month relating to season tickets has arrived on the day people are finding out Rosco isnt coming back. You cant defend a paid member of ICT fc for posting about season tickets at the end of a week that Tansey, Hayes and Tade leave ,the cut off date for the rest of the players has passed and now the immortal Rosco isnt coming back. This has been the one and only post regrading STs from ICT over the last month and the timing is bad. I dont have a gripe with ICT shop, its entirely up to them to decide what to post and when. Their purpose of which I am assuming is to raise the profile of ICT and generate income for the club. I have raised the above, solely to point out that someone has overreacted to a couple of comments.

Fondest memory is scoring against hearts in the cup with his left foot.
-
Not the best of timing for a reminder but overlooking all the current sad news, you may wished you had bought your ST at the cheaper price which expires this weekend. We still have some decent players, we have been informed in the past that the Muirfield Mills gang have some contacts, who knows it may even be a great season.
-
Open and shut case for wilsongate he left to join Livvy who had plenty of cash, what he didnt need to do though was take his ICT shirt off and chuck it to the ground before reaching the tunnel on his last game, I felt that was disrespectful to us fans who had supported him over the years. Have we got enough exit doors to name the all
-
A spot the odd one out for the future me thinks
-
Tokes leaving will get brushed under the carpet for the time being but I hope the issue is raised again in a few years.

Ive been on my travels and popped into deepdale midweek http://www.pnefc.net/page/Deepdale/0,,10362~1080099,00.html we dont need to go as far as having his face across the seats but the Ross Tokely stand would be fitting
-
Aberdeen have been looking for a creative wide man for a while and Hayes fits the bill, its just hes keeping things close to his chest till a contract is signed
-
Remember us always.
-
Ive renewed mine but Im despondant with the way large clubs run the SPL, the SFA and anyone else who is of any use to them.

I think people get pulled in a certain direction including myself with regards to punishing the greedy b#####ds. If it was a club like Kilmarnock, and for instance a company who loans money to Killy and carries their dept suddenly goes bust and the receivers want the dept called in then Killy may be no more.Just only a possible example. But this hasn't happened to Kilmarnock, its happened to a big greedy club, a club that will beat most of the clubs it plays due to its spending power, a club that will steal your best players just to have them sitting on a bench, a club that will go bust and still have the money to fly from Glasgow to Inverness and stay in a 4* hotel but cant afford to hand over the money for tickets it sold to their own fans to watch an away game. a club that will overspend with the hope of getting a greater return from the cups it competes in. A club that steals your locals so they can call themselves Rangers fans just so they can cling on to a bit of success and rejoice if their adopted Glasgow club beats the team of their place of birth. A club that refuses to share more of the SPL kitty to the rest, just to weaken the rest of Scottish football. If it was a small club that was in difficulty I think I would be compassionate to them but its happened to a club that takes, takes then takes some more. What ever sanctions are put in place all they have to do is spend more cash and get a good lawyer to overthrow any handicaps put in front of them, just like the bans handed out to Lennon. I say take what you can get from them.

Do you fancy doing a bit of research on the pros and cons of the new U20s league, from what you are saying its not in the interests of SPL clubs to devolop youth as it costs to much, the clubs younger squad players get a game in the u20s but where these players come from we dont actually know as it wont be from our youth because we cant afford to have them, if it warrants it we could start a petition across the SPL. If the supply chain of young talent is broken, 10 years from now the criteria to play for Scotland will be so low that you will eligible to play if your neighbor is Scottish.
