I think this may be OK on the odd occasion but not the norm and only if clubs get a tv revenue boost. If there is a major local event on the Saturday and it clashes with the football then a Friday night game may actually be OK but its not rocket science to work out what dates may clash. So these can be avoided anyway when making the up fixtures. For example RAF Leuchars annual air show 10th September. So what have the Scottish football wise ones planed for this weekend. What are Dundee United up to? they have got a potential crowd pulling home tie against Rangers. Oh dear so what about the SFL Raith Rovers ? they are at home to Dundee. Hang on, there are more teams in Fife arent there, what are they up to whilst the Leuchars show is on? Cowdenbeath v East Fife. The Scottish football associations need to work far harder for every minute of every hour of every day instead of trying to find lazy solutions all the time. Put your heart and soul into the job and start working out what you can do to protect the interests of all the Scottish football clubs. The way I see it your all taking full time wages for doing a part time job. Extra tv revenue is OK if it doesnt damage the support but what else can you do. Start earning your wages but more importantly start earning the respect of the fans, the managers and the clubs of all of Scotland.

G Shinnie made a crucial block on the goal line. Nick Ross chased a lost cause and hassled the goal keeper to the left of the box, keeper panicked after hearing how good Nick Ross is and fumbled the ball,he passed to Tade and fires into net. Hearts hit the crossbar. Loads of chances to score, if we had the killer touch it would have been more like a Spurs v Hearts scoreline. With Tade having enough chances to get a hat trick. Black lucky not to get sent off for persistent fouling. The 2 last minute midfield signings have a bit of quality about them, although Chipper didnt have that much time to make an impact and would have suited more of a hoof up the park approach into space and yes hes as fast as Hayes.

I usually lay on the floor to relax, do some stretches followed by running on the spot and star jumps, the next stage is pacing the floor, body checking walls and shouting. Its amazing the things you do to pass the time when you waiting for the mrs to come out of the Debenhams changing rooms.

more money for SFL, more wierd times, theyre getting allocated the 4am tuesday slot, either that or its on monday and they have to stop play when coronation street is on.

The Guinea pig clubs are being tested to see how much the gate drops by to then calculate what the tv companies can afford to pay. So a weekend fixture list will consist of Fri night, 12.30 Sat,3pm Sat, 12.30 Sun, 3 pm Sun and Mon night. Who would think this up? as Highlander would say 'there can only be one' But Neil Doncaster is veering more towards mental than immortal.

Regarding the above post, How much will it cost bring up ict.com when doing a web search for Inverness corporate facilities, a couple of experts may be able to provide the answer. ICT.co.uk still comes up when looking for the caley official web site, can a viewer be directly transferred to the .com site. Can the picture of the facilities be improved, the chairs look tired, the club isnt exactly in a cosy location but you could lay claim to offering corporate facilities with the most scenic views of the inner Moray Firth.

Thanks for the suggestions. Bar, there is a problem and its the rush for a quick one before the game which also prevents existing customers buying more. 2 staff on for the rangers game and packed. Im not knocking the staff which we have, in a normal bar you can fill the pint glass on auto take money give change and serve,in our bar they still want to serve every pint perfect from the tin which takes time. Yes we have a car park, people park there and will always park there it makes money, we have people who dont park there because it takes too long to get out again. These people decide to park for free where Strathaird used to be because of delays getting out of the said carpark, they too will always park in that area.No money is generated from this. If they parked up a bit closer for only ?1 and its for a good cause then they might park there instead. I would. Car wash, why is there a car wash van at the Tesco retail park.Someone is making money. Plan, drive to car park get asked by car park money grabber person if you want a car wash and priority exit, say yes please and pay, get washers calling card and ticket, get directed to priority area and display ticket on dash and go and enjoy the game, money gets cashed up, phonecall made to car wash person to turn up and wash x amount of cars and gets duplicate ticket no, man goes to reception and gets paid, ICT get cut for suppling a block of cars to wash and you get out quicker. If a success car wash person is there waiting to start. Who would use it? probably the same people who would pay to use a jet wash, offer it home and away if viable, or we let Pull my fingers carwash gang loose on your cars.

Any suggestions for increasing turnover for ICT here and now. Due to site location I can come up with storage facilities on the unused land similar to the Harbor if the costings work out. Go cart track, this is what the Lecht ski centre do with their car park in the summer months, borrow their go carts Nov to March, they wont be using them. 2 volunteers in the bar before the game or a free pint for 15 mins work to help the club. Request permission form HN to see if their car park can be used for parking at a cost of ?1 per car with all proceeds going to the youth or 50/50 with a chosen HN charity, +informing users that the gates may be locked again 45 mins after match. Match day car wash and park with speedy exit. Pie and pint special after game, uses up surplus pies. Any other ideas.

Bucket collection CD? If that doesnt work then we can fill it with sand and bury our heads in it. Its been suggested that a six figure investment is being viewed as a sticking plaster on a big problem, It wasnt me that decided to raise this issue but seeing as it has been raised by others why not look at a long term solution. Reduce overheads and increase turnover, We currently have an on site bar which opens 19 afternoons a year and even then the staff struggle to cope during a 15 minute rush,or perhaps fans would have a second drink instead of looking at the queue and thinking maybe not. Catering equipment and kitchens used 19 afternoons a year only for hospitality. A club shop which although is right next to the A9 isnt accessible to pedestrians, no one just pops in because they were walking by during the week. We also pay an unknown figure to someone for renting TCS worth ?2,000,000+,for only 19 cash generating home fixture and a couple of cup games. If its in the right location a club shop would be easily accessible to passing trade. An open all year ICT bar(depending on alcohol license cost),restaurant/ burger bar in a prime location, which also provides food for hospitality. So whether the council want to absorb some of the cost of a new stadium and find other uses when ICT arent playing. The stadium is council owned and is rented to ICT for match days only. Or is actually owned outright by ICT shareholders due to major investment and extra uses are found for the stadium to make the stadium pay for itself, including units built into the stands for club shop/burger bar to generate income and also units for lease to generate income in a prime location for Barbers,Cr?che,Shop etc. The stadium has to be in the right location for this to work. If we could find ways to make the ICT brand generate money with out a ball being kicked I would invest in the club myself. At the minute its more of a donation than an investment. More money could be spent on player budgets which hopefully brings success, which brings in more fans, which generates more cash and if the stadium is paying for itself then it takes a lot of pressure off those involved at ICT. IMO the TCS was sited in the best location at the time of build, fast forward 20 years and to start again, right next to the Uni would be the perfect location, There are big changes earmarked for Stratton and Ashton farms with the A96 veering left at Milton of Culloden, running behind Tesco retail park and joining up with the A9 at Inshes, too far east and its handy for Smithton Culloden and Balloch but unfair for Inverness so Inshes would be ideal. This train of thought is merely a suggestion thats all, a few posters keep raising the issue of shortfalls in the books and am merely looking at a long term viable and in my mind a healthy solution. Apologies for repeating myself.

http://invernesscampus.co.uk/ee/index.php/opportunities/ http://invernesscampus.co.uk/ee/index.php/partners/sports_facilities/ You couldnt find a better spot, good access, all weather pitches, indoor pitch, sports facilities, never mind the lothian tram fetish domers, we would have the southern train line running parallel with the site, you couldnt create a new station cheaper if you tried, so drinks in sneck, on the train to the game and zero traffic delays, providing a new time table was created to suit of course.

Considering Im not permitted to view the reputation tables, then I dont know if its good or bad.

Field of dreams ?? Put it on peoples doorsteps and yes we will have extra bums on seats. Sea to the North and West, Dump to the East and an industrial estate to the South. we have zero residents. It wouldnt be hard to lure in extra support if relocating.

You have been sucked into the comments of wind up merchants. Its fine and well having a moan about fans not doing enough but they turn up for matches, buy merchandise, pay for parking, buy food, buy a pint, buy 50/50,programmes,donate to the youth, turn up to help clear snow off the pitch if time permits, some even pool together to sponsor a players shirt. So its a bit harsh to say they dont do enough. The whole country is facing difficult times, even hospitality used to be a way of entertaining business clients and claiming the tax back which is fine when making money, not so good when running at a loss and now fans are being asked to pay for hospitality too. Its a good day out but you cant expect all the fans to support this all the time. Stating that a five figure investment is a sticking plaster then something drastic needs to be done, whether its increasing the fan base or reducing overheads then something needs to happen, if its both then its a win win situation and the clubs back in the black. The good news is we have great people working behind the scenes, excellent youth training and people growing up as ICT fans to swell the ranks,so I think we are in an OK long term position but I'm a realist and if its a case of keeping our heads above water and maintaining the creature of habit mentality or building ICT into something powerful in the next 5 years then I'm all for it, you'll remember the gate figures for a div 3 club, 3000-3500 we were too powerful for div 3 and 2 and the main reason was that we had a new club, a new stadium and a new league. maybe that mentality would return with a ground on the doorstep of what is now the real centre of the population of Inverness, with better facilities and cheaper rent.

I would assume a good chunk of money is paid for the lease of the stadium. Perhaps if the new university campus could incorporate a sports stadium and all weather pitches, including gym, there would be a stronger case for better sports education courses, physio courses, it encourages other sporting events to be held in Inverness which is fresh money for the local economy, plenty of parking on a Saturday for the game,on site pub and restaurant could be built so its in constant use due to location,we currently only serve food and alcohol at the stadium 19 times a year for a short duration. We would still have good access to the A9. University students would have a football team to link themselves to, it encourages new fans to come along as it would be located within 1 to 2 miles of thousands of residential houses,it also encourages walking to the match. The match day out experience would improve for the ones from town with a better pub crawl route, Heatmount, Corriegarth, Fluke,Raigmore (and back) The Cheiftan and Dows also get a boost of trade. new pubs get a chance to affiliate themselves with our club. Awaiting red dots because its not next to Dalneigh, in fact its about the same distance from the Bught to the new campus as it is from the Bught to the current TCS stadium, after a quick look at a map. The current owners of TCS can sell it to Asda, Asda can give money to the council to build a much needed flyover at the longman roundabout, this will ease commuting traffic, could you imagine, there wouldnt be a single A9 North bound vehicle trying to hold up traffic leaving the Longman at 5pm and reduced bridge traffic in the mornings, we also get a big Asda. Ive been going to the current stadium since it opened in the division 3 days but if all the above positive things above were to happen then I'm all in-favor of a change. The main other thing is that ICT lease the stadium for pennies from the council.

Have you got quality issues or have you found a better supplier.
-
Is this a trick question.
-
I personally dont know the man but if he is the one behind dragging the ICT website out of the dark ages and placing it amongst the best sites in the league then its a great and well deserved appointment.
-
You mised out Maurice,Myers. groovy baby.
-
I don't mean to offend anyone mentioning wills, its the type of thing that everyone seems to put off doing. Hypothetically speaking if ICT were to be included in some way, then would the supporters trust be the most logical/beneficial way to help the club and the fans ? Im not suggesting life savings, just a wee kind hearted gift to be remembered by.

Can you run that past me one more time please, as I cant really understand why Rangers and Celtic will be any stronger in Europe without Aberedeen and Hibs in the SPL.
