  3. Yet again we concede in the last minute to throw away points. How many times has that happened this season? I can't say I wasn't expecting it though.

  5. Tues 17 Nov 2015 SL1 R McAllister (Peterhead 1 - Stranraer 1)
  6. Russell has just missed out on a second successive win, losing out in a play off to Graeme Macdowell in Mexico. Another big pay day!

  8. Gregory Tade seems to be back in favour at Steaua Bucharest, and has, in fact, scored twice in his last three games, including yesterday.
  9. He has done it! Russell Knox wins in Shanghai, the biggest win of his career. Well done to him.

  11. Great win. Pity about even more injuries. Hope they are not too bad. Good to see us seeing out a game after a comfortable lead. Well done to all concerned.

  13. I'll take that! Thought we were dead and buried when they scored shortly after Raven's red card. What did he do btw? Great that Warren is back. Things can only improve now.
  14. Great news that Warren is close to being fit again. Good luck today lads, a good win will give team and fans a real boost.
  15. I'm with those who think it well worth while to blood youngsters by having them on the bench. Surely the experience of being in the changing room with the starting X1, hearing the team talk etc is invaluable to these young lads. Of course, I know there is a cost involved. A friend of mine's Grandson plays for Reading. Before he became a first team regular, he often warmed the 1st team bench as a 17/18 year old, rarely getting on, even for a few minutes. He didn't mind a bit as it meant an extra £1000 on his weekly wage packet! For us I'm sure we would be talking of just a tiny percentage of that figure for each lad. Money well spent in my view.
  16. Teams have cottoned on to Tremarco as a weakness and in the first half everything seemed to be coming down our left. Shame as he's really good going forward but defensively he's poor. I thought Devine had come on a lot in the past year and even imagined he could fill Warren's boots, but this season how many times has he let us down with horrorshow defending like the penalties v Dundee and St Johnstone. Anyway roll on Saturday as you say big man. Teams have cottoned on to Tremarco as a weakness and in the first half everything seemed to be coming down our left. Anyway roll on Saturday as you say big man. Totally agree with Mantis. Our defensive problems all stem from Shinnie's departure and Warren's injury. Neither Tremarco nor Williams has really filled Shinnie's boots, and Devine is too inconsistent in the middle of the defence. Get back soon Gary! I also feel that Hughes has made some unwise decisions in some of the players he has brought in. I always thought that the reason to bring in a new player was to strengthen the squad. Can we honestly say that Wederburn, Roberts, Lopez, Silva meet that criterion?
  17. 18. ffs Almost 70% possession according to the stats, but we can't beat 10 men! It is scary how often we seem to concede late goals. Top 6 looks a long way off now.

  20. Yes, well done to Cameron and the board for standing firm on compensation. Well done too to John Hughes, who, as far as I can tell, has kept a dignified silence throughout this whole saga. I hope he is happy with the outcome and that a satisfactory contract extension with us is in the offing. Onwards and upwards. Another great season is possible.
  21. Sat 10 Oct 2015 Petrofac Cup R McAllister (Peterhead 3 - Stenhousemuir 0) Danske Bank Premier C Allen (Linfield 1 - Glentoran 1) Highland League D Khutsishvili (Forres 2 - Keith 0)
  22. I sincerely hope all this speculation about Hughes going turns out to be unfounded. However, in the worst case, if he were to go, I'd be very nervous about Foran getting the job with absolutely no experience. Also, I'm not a fan of former managers coming back, so 'no' from me for Terry. Of the names mentioned on this thread so far (which we could perhaps afford), the only ones I would consider are Latapy ( I know he'd be 'coming back', but as boss instead of second string), or Alexander. However, time will tell.
  23. Sat 3rd Oct 2015 EL1 S Winnall (Doncaster 2 - Barnsley 1) Highland League G Wood (Clach 2 - Formantine 2) D Park (Cove 6 - Nairn 1) A MacLeod (Strathspey 4 - Buckie 5) D Wyness (Strathspey 4 - Buckie 5)
  24. Excellent result. Sounds like a very nervy last few minutes, but we held out. 3 good league wins in a row now. Maybe we should play against top 6 every week!
