  1. I've only spotted 3 goals today (8 Oct), all in the Highland League ;- Zander Sutherland scored again for Brora in a 6-0 win v Keith and Lewis MacKinnon scored two for Buckie in a 9-2 away win at Deveronvale.
  2. Quite a few Highland League goals tonight (5 Oct) : I think they were :- L MacKinnon (Buckie 5 - Brora R 0) D Park ( Cove R 2 - Nairn 1) G Wood (Formantine 8 - Huntly 0) S Soane (2) (Forres 3 - Wick A 5) C MacMillan (Rothes 2 - Fort W 0) Also, Jason Oswell scored for Newtown AFC in a 3-0 away win at Guilsfield in The Word cup in Wales.
  3. Billy Mckay scored for Oldham tonight (4 Oct) in a 2-0 win at Fleetwood in Checkatrade cup.
  4. OK, can't argue with that argument
  5. Looks all over for Europe now with the US up in about 5 of the final six matches. Great golf today though by quite a few of the Europeans. Just want to say I was totally wrong in my assessment of Pieters. He turned out to be Europe's star. Well done to him. A pity a few more didn't do as well as he did.
  6. Thanks John, I missed that one. But, are you sure? Twitter indicated that Addis was Glentoran's scorer, as does the Danske Bank site.
  7. Only spotted two scorers this afternoon (1 Oct) :- Adam Rooney scored two for Aberdeen in their 4-0 win at Killie and Zander Sutherland got both goals for Brora in their 2-0 home win v Fraserburgh (No scorers in England unless you count Charlie Taylor's own goal in Leeds 2-1 win over Barnsley)
  8. Yes, an away draw is never bad. As another poster said, its good that we are scoring last minute goals this year. Makes a nice change, and long may it continue. Well done lads.

  10. I must say I'm looking forward to this coming week-end's Ryder Cup, not without some trepidation. To me the US team looks much stronger, and they clearly will be desperate to win it after such a long losing run. Having said that, the US team has looked stronger on paper for the last two or three events, but Europe has prevailed. I certainly would have selected Paul Casey as one of my wildcards, instead of the young Belgium lad, Pieters, and perhaps even Russell Knox instead of Westwood whose recent form hardly justifies his inclusion. But Clarke, as Captain, obviously has gone for Westwood's experience, and I accept that. Anyway, I wish all the European team all the best and sincerely hope we can put one over the Americans again. Bring it on.
  11. I can't find any sympathy for Sam after his ignominious exit from the England role last night, after only a couple of months. A mixture of greed, ego, power seem to have been his undoing, combined with a staggering amount of naivety and gullibility. What I don't understand is why the Telegraph would have put this 'sting' into operation so quickly. I can only assume they were on the brink of exposing the whole issue of player ownership, managers taking bungs etc in any case, and saw big Sam as an easy target to get it moving. I am sure there are other managers waiting anxiously for the next development. Anyway, big Sam won't have to worry, I'm sure Sunderland will soon come calling, if they haven't already, to replace Moyes.
  12. 27 Sep 2016 Eng Championship S Winnall (Barnsley 1 - Aston Villa 1) EL 1 F Morais (Bradford 2 - Fleetwood 1) I Black (Shrewsbury 1 - Peterborough 1)
  13. Two scorers today (25 Sep) - Johnny Hayes for Aberdeen in a 2-1 home win against the Rangers and - Dani Sanchez (yet again) in a 2-1 home defeat for FC Jazz v JJK in Finland
  14. Thanks for the ratings PerfICT. Good to see that everyone seemed to play well today. I notice that Tremarco seems to be very solid this year. He seems to have made the left back spot his own now. Taken him a while but its good to see. Richie seems to be growing into the job quite well. I like his use of subs. So far he seems to have got them pretty well spot on. Long may it continue.

  17. Adam Rooney scored the last minute winner for Aberdeen tonight (22 Sep), in their 1-0 win over St Johnstone
  18. Yes, agree with SP's post (above). Better all round if JH gets fixed up with another club, and the sooner the better. I'm sure we humble posters on this site don't know for sure if we are still paying JH's wages, or indeed, what the terms of his settlement were, but it will be good if we can finally draw a line under the JH reign in charge of ICT. This in no way on my part is trying to sully the great times he led us to during the happier days of his spell with us. Who can ever forget the heady outings to Hampden and Parkhead? Will we ever see their like again? We can but hope.
  19. I wonder if Ryan might not have been better going to an English Championship or even EL 1 side, with the prospect of regular first team football. But, I suppose, even that might not have been guaranteed. It certainly has done nothing for Andrew Shinnie's career at Birmingham, nor for Billy Mckay at Wigan and Oldham. However, both Sam Winnall and Marley Watkins seem able (when fit) to command a place in the starting X1 at Barnsley, who are performing well in the Championship.
  20. Jason Oswell scored another tonight (20 Sep) for Newtown AFC in a 2-1 loss at Cardiff Met in the Welsh League.
  21. Can't see much wrong with IHE's smileyometer stats. Off course it may have looked different to those actually at the match. But overall a great result, which continues the improvement shown in the last two or three games. A decent win against 'Dee next Saturday will be expected now to contniue our slow, but sure, rise up the league table. Come on ICT, I know we can do it. Onwards and upwards.
  22. What a good call that was, his replacement gets the equaliser. Come on lads, one More!
  23. H/T 1-0 F/T 2-0 ICT Tansey Celtic Christie Crowd 5879
  24. In this afternoon's matches (17 Sep), I can only see two scorers :- Jason Oswell scored a hat trick for Newtown AFC in a 3-3 draw with Rhyl in the Dafabet Welsh league and Gary Wood scored another two for Formantine in a 2-1 win at Turriff in the Highland league
  25. Missed another by Dani Sanchez on 15 Sep, for his club FC Jazz, in a 1-1 draw with Jaro, in Finland.
