Excellent news. I'll try to avoid knowing the reult until then.

Best ever Englishman
Good question. For me, not much to choose between Davis and Draper, closely followed by Warren.

County replay ticket sales so far
My head agrees with that but my heart says let's stuff em!!! Agree with OCG. Yes, the league is important, but so too would be an extended cup run, not only for the coffers, but also for the fans who have badly missed the cup runs in recent years. So full strength team for me.

Wonderful to see that he has got over his shaky start and is proving that he was another good signing, alongside Draper and Warren. Even King looked OK before he got injured. I think these new boys have made the world of difference to us this year. Coupled with Doran and McKay finding form, and Foran too recently, it is no surprise that the whole team has done well and shot up the table. Has there been a better time to support ICT?

2nd place on our own. How pretty that looks. Well done everyone. Hope you've saved a bit for Tues night!

Roberts not even on bench. Injured?

clean sweep
Good news I suppose, even though these awards have often been 'kiss of death'. In Terry's case he must have been close for the October award, so getting it in November is justified, for the wins at 'Tic and Dons alone.

Two Leagues of 12 it is then......
It will be interesting how they plan to run the middle group of 8. They won't be able to do it on points accumulated to date, as they would have been acquired in two different leagues of 12. Perhaps the simplest is that they all start from scratch, although this too may be seen as unfair.

Scottish Cup 5th round draw
Would have liked an easier draw, but could have been worse. Reasonable record at Killie.

Ross County -V- ICT
Getting back to the football, does anyone else think that Roberts could have done better defending the soft free kick from which County scored their 3rd goal? As part of the two man wall it seems to me he ducked away from the kick instead of trying to head it clear. Still, if that goal hadn't gone in we would have missed the thrilling last second equaliser, and the sheer joy of the contrasting reactions of the managers at the end.

Ross County -V- ICT
Well, that was some finish. Overall a fair result. Both sides second goals were flukey. We controlled first half, although not generating many chances. County were much the better side in the second half, but we hung in there. Great work by OTJ to force the corner to give us the equalised by Foran. Foran was immense today in both defence and attack. MOM by miles I'd say. Very poor crowd! I expected 6000 plus. I wonder how many will show up for the replay on a Tues night mid Dec? I'm just glad we're in the draw for the next round. Concentrate on Hibs next week now, where we could consolidate 2nd place in SPL on our own. Who'd have thought that 3 months ago? Great credit to all the team and management.

Cup game Televised
Luckily I can get BBC Scotland on my FreeSat system. I've got a housefull of mainly Reading supporters, arriving shortly. Then they're all off to see Reading v Man utd live at 17.30. I only hope they see ICT at our best unlike when they last watched ICT with me on Sky in that unmentionable game 3 matches ago! I'd rather be in Dingwall, but TV is a good second best. Come on lads, keep up the good form shown for the majority of this season.

Clynelish - my all time favourite - currently got a 14 yo . Find it quite hard to get down here. I usually get one from Duty Free when I'm abroad.

Tokely brands booing a disgrace
Still must be our greatest ever servant and a true legend, unlike many of the johnny-come-latelys banded about on the Legends thread.

Gary Warren
Gary has been a great signing for us, strong in defence, and dangerous when he goes forward for corners/free kicks. I just hope he remains injury free for the rest of the season. It seems as if you Newport fans arn't really missing him either. So its a win/win for both of us.

Aberdeen -V- ICT
I think one of the most pleasing things is that this was one of these games that we could easily have lost, and probably would have last season. Especially when we lost a goal in injury time at the interval, and then another one soon after. But we have a bit more grit about us these days and seem more able to grind out a result when we do manage to get ahead late in the game. Only the Hearts game at home in recent weeks gives the lie to this, and that was only because of an extremely soft penalty. Long may it continue.

Aberdeen -V- ICT
Absolutely fantastic. I had to follow it on BBC' s red button 'final score' programme as my internet connection has only just come back after being down since about 6pm. No finger nails left. The whisky is out here too, just a wee 18yo Glenlivet, for medicinal purposes.

Chelsea sack Di Matteo
What an absolute tool Abramovich is. It strikes me that he only saw Di Matteo as a stop gap manager when he appointed him last year. The brilliant success Di Matteo brought them in a few short months was probably, strangely, an embarrassment to Abramovich, who clearly couldn't wait for the first hiccough so that he could bin DM. Six managers in 5 years! Who in their right mind would want to go there? How long before Abramovich throws his toys out of the pram altogether and sells Chelsea, probably leaving them massively in debt?
