  1. What right do Caley Jags Together have to ban individuals for daring to attempt to create an atmosphere at a football game? Another reason why crowds are dwindling across the country when fans already spending their hard earned money travelling the length and breadth of the country are actively discouraged from vocally supporting and getting behind their team. As per it seems like CJT act like the moral arbiter and the collective "voice" (the irony) of the entire support when really they have no grounds to do so.
  2. I do despair at times listening to some of our fans and their 'expectations' they have of the lads. We're currently sitting fifth in the table and are within touching distance of our rivals whilst still producing some of the best football we've ever played as a team. Sure today was pretty grim viewing from an attacking sense but defensively the team looked resolute and solid throughout, with Raven producing yet another fantastic performance as you mention. However, the return of Nick Ross to the starting XI was a pleasing surprise and in my opinion he should have been awarded man of the match for his constant energy and willingness to drive forward with the ball on a day when our midfield was mostly static and devoid of an attacking threat further emphasising the importance of Marley Watkins to the side. Being in the North Stand I can't comment fully on the manager today but your comment does sound highly petty. I'd never been his biggest admirer, but he's answered his critics time and time again and won over much of the support for his clear enthusiasm and his style of play which has bare fruit countless times this season; which funnily enough is far more attractive than his predecessors 'kick and chase' tactics.
  3. Take note Roy, he should have been on the plane...
  4. think I'd prefer Andy Barrowman back than signing Josh Magennis...
  5. I'm not naive enough to believe that we as a team could remain in the top 3 all season due to our player budget and squad size compared to our rivals, but the fall from grace has been somewhat spectacular. From a team that seemed well organised at the back and played attractive counter attacking football we've seen the polar opposite in recent months where we now look brittle at the back and toothless up top. I previously stated i'd give him until after the Summer to judge him properly, but as the weeks have gone by i've felt more and more disillusioned with the same rhetoric being spouted as an excuse for us not getting the results with arguably the best squad we've ever assembled. I wanted to give the man time and to eat my words but now I think his time is up. The 27 pages in relation to this of this is somewhat deafening. The proverbial ball is now in the boards court.
  6. rather like this PSG style shirt, a nice change in my opinion if we did it
  7. Hate to say it but C*unty are a bigger club than us . Ok explain...... Bigger support and better stadium to begin with .
  8. I'd of really liked to have seen what Butcher would have done any differently considering our small squad and fixture pile up, especially since he's completely revolutionised Hibs failing side into this winning machine we see before us. I do wonder where this thread would have been if John's tactics, however negative they seemed, won us our first national trophy. I wasn't a huge Hughes supporter when he first arrived, but surely give the man time to get his targets in the Summer and then judge him. Top six for the second season in succession, a cup final, and a team all signed up on one of the smallest budgets in the Premiership. You can never please some people.
  9. the management team did nothing wrong today, it's the players responsibility to be up for such an important game

    Joe Gorman

Officially suspended from ICTFC pending results of investigation.
  11. Tom Parratt, born in Inverness but moved away at the age of 3 to according to Wikipedia, after playing for Hamilton, Queen of the South and Airdrie United he's back in the States playing for the brilliantly named Wilmington Hammerheads
  12. Think we've missed out on Jimmy Nicholl who's just re-joined Cowdenbeath, hugely experienced with a wealth of contacts all across Britain
  13. Normally i'd defend the club the best I could, but this goes beyond that sadly. Without trying to sound like a 'Cup Half Empty' guy or even to the extreme case of Dougal I can't see this being the best man to take us forward and maintain the good setup currently in place. Admittedly Terry had a rather skewed and haphazard management career much like Yogi before ICT, but in Butchers favour was his significant success with Motherwell during the admin years and subsequent revival where he reached a national cup final. In addition, the name 'Terry Butcher' had the effect of luring, or even persuading players from England to us who would have previously in my opinion turned their noses up at us. Yogi's style of football wasn't something I was a big fan of at Falkirk or Hibs either, although if it ends up being ultimately successful here who am I to complain. All in all I see this as an uninspiring choice at this stage if it is made. With talk of "dozens" of other candidates such as Paul Hartley, Kenny Shiels and Craig Levein I share Yngwie's view of sheer deflation if he becomes the new manager. I hope however to be proved wrong, just like we were in the case of our now former manager when he first took charge.
  14. Hartley is the only candidate i'd be happy with at this stage, big let down if Yogi gets the job
  15. Quadruple if you count the Under 20's league too...
  16. still unsure why people are still keen on Robbo for the job, we should be looking forwards not backwards based on past successes. The lack of activity he's had on the managerial front in the last few years is deafening...
  17. managed to get odds of 50/1 on Paddy Power for John Hartson earlier (which has now decreased to 18/1 for that matter), I think he would be a good shout in my opinion, a smart guy who's done loads in the playing side of the game and also has worked alongside Chris Coleman as assistant for Wales. The man would surely have contacts with all the clubs he has previously played at which may lead to potential signings if he got the job. Personally, I think Richie must have been told by the board that a big name must be on the clubs radar to make him jump at a new deal as much as he did, which makes me think Hartson, Tapia, Larsson or another big name must be in line for it. Feel free to bookmark this for when John 'Bomber' Brown or Tangoman Calderwood get the job next week...
  18. Sorry I don't agree with this, in the last few seasons we've seen the fruition of Graeme Shinnie and Nick Ross, the first of which many on here would agree has been overlooked for a spot in the national squad. In addition we have Liam Polworth who has looked promising in under 20's matches and is now of the same age as Nick and Graeme when they first started making an impact with the first team, Calum Ferguson who has been called into Canadian national squads and our match day squads, Ryan Christie who looksstill like he could feature in years to come and not forgetting Matthew Cooper who did well when called into action last season.
