Drummin' up support for the team
That was the best atmosphere I've heard at a home Caley game on TV for a while probably helped by the location near the TV camera box? I saw some glimpses of the crowd there and it looked good!

It looks like the board did well signing Dodds as the manager, having handled John Robertson's situation very well. They have done well again with recruitment for the team, with what appears an excellent mix of youth and experience, but all talented...the number of players on decent length contracts is another factor that has to be helpful Few of us would have dreamed that we would make quite the start that we have, and it sounds like yesterday's result was highly deserved. Good to hear that guys like Broadfoot and Gardyne, whose signings were met with a little bit of eyebrow raising along with Devine whose re-signing last season triggered the same reaction are delivering to a good level. I managed to swing past the stadium a couple of weeks ago, with my wife, as we started our holiday around the North Coast 500 route in generally excellent weather, and picked up a Caley face mask which I look forward to wearing in various places down here in South London, we spent three days in total in Inverness, and it was a real delight to be back. Trying to sort a trip up for a home game, but Kilmarnock away in Jan is on!

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
You've obviously missed that we are supposed to use three word slogans these days...lets hope it's at least "Mckay. Scores. Another" Was a bit despondent losing Toddy after Daniel had gone, but Walsh, McKay and Duku are all welcome replacements.

i want him at Palace...especially with Eze out for 9months. it wont happen of course 🥺

Billy Dodds is the new ICT Manager
This seems like a decent move especially because of his involvement towards the end of the season, which saw a much more confident and effective team switch from looking over their shoulders at a relegation battle to narrowly missing out on the play-offs Just need to find a couple or three players now to turn us from play-off favourites to proper candidates for automatic promotion. It'll be interesting to see if Kilmarnock can recover quickly from the shock of relegation and whether Partick Thistle will do a Raith Rovers or better next season (and can Raith repeat their form for a 2nd season)

Brad McKay off to Falkirk
He always seemed to do OK in games I saw, but I think he had a very poor run last year? I don't think he let us down too much this season, did he?

Robbo Moving On...
Hmm..according to https://www.spotrac.com/epl/payroll/ Palace have the 7th highest wage bill in the EPL ...only the 'Big 6' have a higher wage bill, it has certainly limited who we could bring in the past couple of years, but in theory, we are not a team of donkeys. It certainly is interesting to see Caley assemble teams on a shoestring on a regular basis, that at least entertain [some days], and put the effort in [most days] and vie for the top places or play-offs.

4 seasons down, how many more to go?
The main thing about the Championship, is that it's a lot better than being in League 1! It does strike me that there tends to be one really strong front runner most seasons, with nearly everyone below fairly even. Had we retained Dan Mackay for next season and if we Todorov, I would have felt quite confident we could be the front runner, especially if we could sort the wing position, as midfiel, defence and goalkeeping all look strong, or strong enough. Not too much for the next manager to resolve hopefully if there are any funds

Robbo Moving On...
Good grief no! He's a lovely man and all that, but Palace have conceded more goals this season than virtually anyone bar the relegated, and our forward play has been pretty dire!

Dan Mackay Easter road bound
I'm gutted, as I saw him a big part of a promotion push next season, but it's the way of the world unfortunately, and he deserves it. At least we got a fee, and given how tight finance probably are, that's a good thing, hope it means we can secure Toddy for another year, and Miles

Season 2020/21 - the inquest
I think the high turnover has played a big part, especially with a small squad. However we seem to have the nucleus of a really decent team, with three youngsters coming on strongly (Daniel in particular). One or two players like Toddy need to be signed up for next season, and one of either McHattie or Brad (because retaining players with known strengths/weaknesses is probably easier than searching for new). We need a decent winger signed, then we decide on either Aaron or Miles to be retained Not getting into the promotion play-offs is a blow, but would be a huge ask to go all the way, from 3rd/4th place.....If we are going to get out of this league I think we need to win it. Can we finish the season playing the long delayed Challenge Cup final [ideally after Raith have had a knackering and unsuccessful play-off campaign]? Given that we had quite a few injuries, then lots of game cancellations, Managerial issues and we were looking over our shoulder at one stage at possible relegation play-offs, I am pretty satisfied as I think we have a proper springboard for next season. I have enjoyed our season much more than my other team Palace's [which has redined the meanings of dire and under-performing]. Given the backdrop of a horrible year because of the pandemic, I'm really excited at the prospect of seeing Caley live again next season. I just wonder who our manager will be.

David Carson
Fabulous news.... Another illustration of the Club doing a good job, in what has been an incredibly challenging year and a bit

I'm rather hoping that Hearts, having secured promotion, will gently roll over for us!

Morton -V- Inverness CT - Preview
What a great result! Following via various apps is hard work, especially as it seems Morton came on really strong after half time. The corner count is widely in their favour! Fortunately Toddy was on fire tonight...I'm think of adopting him! And Daniel did it again..... Hopefully Storey will be spurred on to go on a scoring run for himself. McCann and Dodds seem to have worked out the right combo's, but the bench looked a wee sparse tonight...hopefully guys like Welsh, were given the night off to be ready for Saturday, and we'll need contributions from guys like Duffy, McHattie, and Keatings for the run in and the Cup [if we were to beat St Mirren, but were still in with shout of the play-offs we might have to take a decision which is more important].... Good to see Vincent get some game time, and Allardice reminding us what a decent signing he is! Of course every game at this stage is important when in this position, Saturday is a 'mustn't lose' game if we can't secure the win...but we have some big momentum running

Buzzing for County game
Yes....I saw that, incredible really. I am falling in love with that guy!

Buzzing for County game
I can't believe he is only 19, he is the sort of gamechanger that every side needs [certainly at this level, and eventually at Premiership level], he'll have off-days of course, but he has been very influential this season. As someone else said, Devine has done well this season, and has been under-rated. Strong performances all round, but Toddy is surely becoming a bit of a cult figure.

When are we going to give someone a 5 - 0 scudding?
We're saving it for the play-offs..the best time for it

Inverness CT -V- Arbroath - Preview - Matchday
Yes that was hilarious...but on the whole I enjoyed the livestream, and using a pair of commentators works well for me....I know Andy Bannerman isn't everyones favourite, but he compares well to one of the main Sky EPL presenters (can't remember his name) who spends most of every match rambling away in a soft voice, so you can't hear him properly and just becomes annoying

Inverness CT -V- Arbroath - Preview - Matchday
Ground out a really decent result against an Arbroath team that were very well organised and put us under lots of pressure all over the park. However aside from one header just before half time that needed a good save from Ridgers, and a hilarious scramble in the second half we weren't under much threat from them, and yet another clean sheet from a defence that had been getting some stick. Personally I think Devine is having a decent season, and Deas rarely lets us down. What a great goal from Toddy from a terrific free kick from Harper. Again Todorov is doing much better this season than I expected, and is being just a makeweight, the run of games has done him a world of good, and although he was less effective tioday, the way he got his goal is almost Harry Kane-like (steady on!). All the youngsters did well, Daniel Mackay is surprisingly strong, MacGregor went on some good runs and Harper solid again. Securing Scott Allan in the morning, who I knew little about (but seems to have excited people) and seeing how he played, is a real bonus...full credit to the management team and Board for securing this loan, which could be crucial in the run in. Another sign for me that the club is better run than some people give credit for. Amazing to think that just two weeks or so ago we were really worried about a relegation scrap, now we are still in the hunt for a promotion play-off place....although probably it's a tall order, we would need to win 4 out of the last 5, including Dundee, although 3 wins and draw might do it. If we fail, but we retain key players, next season looks promising

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Mind you given that it will be just for a few weeks, it should be more of an adventure for the young lad, especially as the clock goes forward and the weather gets warmer [All these things make a difference to how one feels IMHO] and restrictions are starting to ease. He'll be joining a team that is already playing youngsters not that much older than he is, and hopefully he'll get a few minutes of game time, which must be a plus for him. I'm sure they have thought about where he is staying during this time. Maybe more of a plus for him than us, but if he comes on late in a game and swings in a ball that leads to goal that gets us into the play-offs it's a win-win all round. I'm sure he will have spoken to Kennedy about us, can't be anything but positive [it's quite warm in David Carson's pocket]

New manager next season?
Strange I remember the previous incumbents getting a bit of stick in regards to recruitment, finances, communication, contracts, etc I am not sure what the mess is that we are in, the club is still going, despite a very difficult Covid related period, our finances seem relatively stable, if not bloated, considering various factors, not least our income stream from attendences being on a downward track, TV and sponsorship money must be tiny. Even though we have had to cut player budgets due to our Championship status, we finished 2nd last season, and with a small squad that is constantly prone to having players picked off by other clubs, have held our own this season (despite extensive injury problems). I would argue that we have yet again assembled a nucleus of a decent squad (if we could find a high scoring forward, our fortunes might be more certain). The issues around our managerial team have been well dealt with IMHO. Is everything perfect? I don't know, (perhaps not the TV streaming service) but I don't see a mess.

Raith Rovers -V- Inverness CT - Tuesday - Preview
Crikey that was tense, especially following it via BBC website/Livescore App....what an evening to start drinking whisky! Hopefully, Welsh and Keatings knocks aren't too bad, and their subs was down to time management Good that Daniel got the only goal after he got a little bit of criticism about his performance on Friday It is crazy that suddenly a promotion place is within reach, lets hope Dunfermline don't snuff that out this weekend, as chasing a play-off spot is more motivational than trying to stay out of trouble.

Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
I don't think anyone could say we didn't show character in that match, we had a tough starting 20mins or so, but really grew into the game, and could have won with a tiny bit of lucky/extra composure...that said I guess Raith had 2-3 good chance that they didn't put away either. Putting Carson at RB was a stroke of genius, he kept Kennedy quiet for most of the match and got upfield dangerously as well. I was very impressed with Todorov, he won so many headers, and more to the point our players often got on to his touch on. Both he and Sutherland seemed able to control the ball and lay it off. The defence was pretty good overall against a decent looking side, a couple of dangerously sliced clearances apart. Ridger commanded his box very well. And defensively the midfield did it's job, and since we also created probably the closest efforts on goal must have done OK going forward as well. I wouldn't be too harsh on MacGregor not slotting home his chance...it's easy to judge from an armchair, but he had to run back to get the ball and his first thought would be to hit the ball early, it would have been amazing composure to stop, look up and lift the ball higher when you're expecting a block/tackle. And Sutherland did everything right with his chance but their goalie pulled off a great save. It maybe wasn't Daniel Mackay's greatest night, and he looked pretty knacked, but he did well enough for me as a young lad, and it was his effort that resulted in MacGregors chance. On the subject of substitutes, I wasn't really sure who we could put on, who would make a difference, that wouldn't affect the balance and rythmn we had...Keatings the only really option I think, and yes he should still put in 100% even against the side he's joining [he should be super-fit for the Dunfermline game]. Toshney/Vincent were on the bench a week ago, but have disappeared off it without playing? we could do one of Storey or Doran back soon. I rather feel we have been a tad unfortunate in the scoring stakes, hitting too much wood! Hopefully the Gods will be on our side in the run in, we've done well enough against Hearts and Raith, look like we dominated QoS recently without converting chances, and of course a missed penalty recently. I think the run-in could be, erm, exciting, in that nail-biting, edge of the seat, slightly despairing way...but the formula has to be, whatever Ayr do, make sure we do better even by just one point.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
I appreciate a few on here had issues with Liam Polworth, for reason's I can't quite fathom, and that he obviously secured a better package going to Motherwell, but I do rather think we miss him. But I've seen MacGregor, Allardice and Carson do good stuff from midfield, and of course Doran, no reason to think creativity is beyond them
