So there must have been a big termination fee to cut his contract short otherwise it wouldn't have made sense to keep paying his wages whilst he tapped a keyboard and warmed his couch. No other explanation really surely?

Fact is I couldn't believe that we went into the new year in second place, now we are in Feb and still there regardless. Hopefully we have had our blip and we can build on what we have!

We are second with 23 out of 38 league games. It is a reality that we can finish second, thats for sure. Its all about how we approach defeat imho!

I hope Raven wasn't dropped, the guy is a massive player for us.

Gutted Nick Ross didn't come on instead of Roberts. We didn't change tactics to take advantage of ten men. We decided to let an 18 year old inexperienced fringe player take the most important penalty in our history. I'll never forget the groan from the crowd as he trudged forward to take the pen...then look up at the crowd and absorb every bar of pressure into himself before skying the ball over the bar. In away I feel really sorry for him. It wasn't a real cup anyway.

Is it just me that has seen a touch of sparkle lost by eventually playing County 6 times this year? (Although it has been good keeping them in our shadow!) How is this structure going to avoid the problem of repeating so many games? Will there be an extension of playoffs for the European places? I wouldnt care who we were playing if it was a play-off for Europe. I can see that the bottom/top four playoffs will be exciting but what of the top 8 in the SPL? Boredom ensues as the OF dominate and the top 8 play each other again and again... Carrot and stick my good forum readers, in the current model there is a fairly big stick but where is the carrot for the St Johnstones, Kilmarnocks and Motherwells of the league??!

Good news, sir. This is the first time we could have a crack at a decent finish and we need continuity to do that. It's unbelievable that we are where we are and having the bunch of lads we do in the second half of the season could see us hit new heights. Terry staying has given us something we nearly lost, stability and hope. If Terry gets us to a final, top 3 or something I doubt anyone would grudge him moving wherever he liked. Repaying loyalty an all that.

If Terry goes I wonder what Steve Marsella would be like as a manager. Obviously the skill set to manage people is a totally different one to that of a scout, but he clearly has an exceptional eye for talent and appreciates the game. Again it's another wildcard however.

I think ill change the title of the thread to "The Pressure Thread".

Dear All, I would like to call on all people viewing this thread to express to the management, players, backroom staff and indeed anyone connected to the club that there is NO EXPECTATION placed on the players with respect to winning cups, European places or even finishing in the top six of the league. Anything above 12th place in the SPL is a bonus. If this season finished now, it would still go down as one of the most legendary seasons we have had in our history. We are lucky to have been blessed with an SPL side in Inverness and right now we should enjoy our glorious place in Scottish football. The point of this post is to let everyone know that we have a sense of reality and we want the players to go out and enjoy playing football in the Highland capital. Long may the roller coaster continue! Wise men say......

Keep our feet on the ground, the only thing that can spoil us is over expectation. Right now, enjoy the reality...almost half the season gone and were joint top - a season to remember already! Sign them up.

Fabulous game!! I feel so proud, it feels more like the fans team than ever before. ROLL ON HAMPDEN!!!

The management duo have shown that even during the true low of relegation they could pick the team and fans up. Picking the team and fans up from the recent depression this season demonstrates a real professionalism and foresight to lift the boys to new levels despite low points. Hats off all round so far, trust is building all the time. I love a steady ship!!

Good to see raven came onto a game, shows the lad has character. Also good to see the gaffer is keeping feet on the ground and nice to see his banter with the players on alba afterwards. Onwards an upwards all!

Avicii levels was ace when hearts scored against us...maybe we could copy?

Fab game yesterday. All four of the defence high fived each other before the game and the shooting pre match was superb, they've been practicing I reckon! Roberts was class, foran was incredible and great to see young Morrison doing well. Same 11 in the same formation next Friday please!

We are still competing in all domestic competitions, couldn't ask for more!
