  1. Great work going on here guys! If such a facility was available I would love to have a 'watch again' facility for the whole match highlights. I always watch back the full games shown on Alba and I watch back the highlights on BBC, regardless if I make the games or not. I'm sure lots of fans must be in the same position?
  2. Warren shouldn't come back in, he has been a total liability at the back recently. Same team and formation as last week
  3. *bump Ladies and Gents, today was a great result against Hearts. There have been many times in our history where a draw against one of Scotlands biggest clubs would have been headline news, so let's celebrate that achievement. Let the great result today reinforce the belief in Ritchie and the lads. We have games against The Rangers and Celtic where we have no expectation at all and we already have one point in that bag more than anyone gave us credit for. Hamilton have: Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, The Rangers, St Johnstone in their next five games. I absolutely believe we can make up the two points difference to overtake Hamilton in at least these five games!
  4. I imagine Ritchie could register or play as a trialist, that was the case before as it was independent of the transfer window? Didn't Ali just transfer on the 1st of Feb? News on Sutherland hasn't reached Germany here in the 48 hours since then. Both suggestions are radical ill give you that though!!
  5. Assuming fit is this who we have? Foran Gary Warren Ross Draper Owain Fon Williams Liam Polworth Scott Boden Esson Meekings? Aaron Doran Raven Vigurs Mulraney Tremarco Tansey Horner?? McNaughton? King Sutherland Mackay Fisher Brad Mckay Cole Anier . Esson Raven Mcart Mckay Tremarco Doran Fisher Foran Draper Cole . . Billy Mckay Philosophy is akin to when Scotland ground out results against better teams under Walter Smith. Wingers stay wide. If you insist Foran won't play himself, then Sutherland starts for me instead. Great wee player from what I've seen and not shy at workrate, maybe a bit light but merits a start at least. Possible replacement in Anier.
  6. Based on the poll about management we should definitely be keeping our shoes on. We as a majority are backing the manager and let that sound loud and clear. We are not at crisis point yet and we are all trying to live on a small budget to be sustainable. Keep believing, imagine ourselves pulling out of this situation and how daft you might feel calling for the managers head having escaped relegation. No team EVER escaped relegation by negativity, so keep the head up and dont forget that. Any business that survives adversity visualised itself in that position of better times. Think of the euphoria of winning the playoff. Positive and passionate grit is a very dangerous weapon indeed, so lets use it when we are given the chance.
  7. Polly and Vigurs attitude absolutely REEKS. No place for them surely. Gary has been caught out of position and is slow to catch up time and time and time again.
  8. Ritchie was a leader on the field and renowned for his strong influence in a red and blue shirt. Should he play himself for ICT again or rely on his management ability from the touchline.
  9. I heard that the dressing room was flat about 4 weeks ago too. I'd play myself if I was in Ritchie's shoes, what has he to lose? He was a great leader on the park and this could give us the boost we need. F***ing boss them like the leader he was!!!! None of this restrained/reformed nonesense which he has developed. GET INTO THEM!!
  10. I actually wrote Terry/Ritchie but then I deleted it because I cant forget that he relegated us and left us in a very disloyal way without a whim. Don't bail yet folks, not yet.
  11. I really really wanted Ritchie to succeed. He is such a club man and it is so sad to hear a club legend going down like this. Perhaps a Pele/Ritchie combo could save us.
  12. I was looking forward to the highlights tonight having travelled through to Elgin earlier, the to replay lasted 1 min and 12 secs. I rewinded and timed it. Rotten coverage.
  13. A great interview from Ritchie there. The only thing I will say is that "not too high or not too low" is also a management strategy but sometimes I feel that really celebrating success when it comes can have a bounce factor. Positive passion and a display of grit would be mirrored by the fans I'm sure. I remember his first win in the league against St Johnstone and the feeling I got looking at how he celebrated, ill be chuffed to bits if we beat Elgin on Saturday!
  14. Taking the figures at face value... Looking at the areas of the opposition goal scoring moves, it looks like we need a sweeper to cover moves into the 18 yard box. The figures don't reflect the number of times players are caught out of position resulting in a goal which I suspect might be a contributing factor, combine this with the "40% of through balls" fact. A sweeper might help this too. Our "defensive dual" success seems low for everybody so someone sitting deep would be able to double up on tackles would help this although at the expense of a deeper back line, Meekings would have the pace to track through balls more then any other options. Suggest; OFW Meekings Raven McKay Warren Tremarco Draper Doran Tansey King Doumbouya
  15. For those not in the know, we played County yesterday behind closed doors in a friendly...we were beaten 3-0 and comfortably. We will be doing well to get a result on Saturday but this will add to the atmosphere knowing how much a win will be worth to us. Lets crush them
  16. We are getting a new striped home shirt and a new away top.
  17. I wonder how much it would cost, over and above the boards ability to contribute, to keep David Raven for another season? Whip round?
  18. What are your thoughts on our best team and system if everyone was fit? This is mine; Fon Williams Raven Meekings Warren Tremarco Draper Tansey Storey Vigurs Doran Foran Subs: Esson, Devine, D Williams, Horner, Roberts, Mutumbo & Wedderburn
  19. It was quite frustrating to watch. We had 5 defenders on who were told not to overload attacks and they didn't contribute to putting balls in the box. The midfield didn't link with Marley who really isn't a striker. The duo of Williams and Christie were always outnumbered by the extra man in midfield. The team were told not to counter attack. Because Partick (and other teams) know we like to play short passes they gear up and diffuse this by committing more bodies to the man in possession knowing we won't apply a long raking pass to a man in space, once we get hounded the ball goes long. In short, this makes for a stuffy and congested game with as much attacking ambition as 4-6-0. we had such a strong bench yesterday I didn't think Devine needed to be in the back line. We could have played 4-5-1 with Doran and Marley on the wings with Ofere up top without Partick causing any more damage than they did.
  20. There is plenty space at the Bucht as we all know (see attached jpeg with stadium and parking translated onto it). An exact replica of our stadium and parking scenario would take up 1/3rd of the space at the Bucht as a whole. Walking times to new stadium from: Lochardil - 36min Crown - 25min Kinmylies - 38min Milton of Leys - 40min Dalneigh - 20min Culduthel - 37min Hilton - 33min Train Station/pubs - 23min Walking times to existing stadium from: Lochardil - 1hr16min Crown - 40min Kinmylies - 49min Milton of Leys - 1hr5min Dalneigh - 46min Culduthel - 1hr16min Hilton - 1hr2min Train Station/pubs - 31min It can clearly be seen that if the stadium was moved to the Bucht Park then folk could easily walk to the game and return on foot within the vast majority of the demographic of Inverness, whereas this is not possible with the current stadium where it is. You have to make football easily accessible and as it stands the logistics prove it is not.
  21. Very interesting initiative on the PWYW. If the club can attract an extra 1000 fans who wouldn't have been there in the first place, then it's all a bonus and not a case of breaking even. I wonder if the wings of the main stand and singing section could be a permanent PWYW for non high profile games?
  22. So I took Bauhaus's tack on raw emotional blackmail and guess what? It worked!! Like Iain says I couldnt ever forgive myself and I had to go. Thankfully she was at the semi-final and saw how much it meant to me (and everyone!) so that helped. In short we have changed our flights to the Friday and flying back on Sunday to Glasgow meaning we will miss the Sunday gig. Delighted!!
  23. Well, I had the most bittersweet moment of my entire life on Sunday. Through the elation of the match I was completely oblivious as to the fact that the cup final was on the same day as the Country2Country gig I had booked in London. I realised when I checked later on what a pickle I got myself into. So I had booked to join my band of 9 friends in going to the gig in London, which involves flying down on the Saturday and back on the Monday. I had paid about £300 all in including tickets, flights and accommodation, including help organise a fine 5 bedroom house for everyone. Then ICT went and won and I had a dilemma. I then told my girlfriend I couldn't make the gig in London because of the final, and boy did she kick off. We never argue and she has never cried in our 2 year relationship but she howled after I told her last night that I planned to cancel. There was guilt trips from her, my mother, even my ICT loyal father told me I couldn't cancel the gig. I've not started playing silly buggers in my head thinking I can fly up and back from London in time for kickoff and back in time for the gig at 9pm in London. Only to fly back to Inverness the next day. Had the game been at Ibrox and the KO time been 12-2 I could have just about made it based on current flight time, but since it's at parkhead, I now have no chance. What would you do?
  24. I really hope it's an early kickoff, any word on this?
