  1. in my opionion, the stewarding issue is the fundamental flaw which is hampering the scottish game at the international and european level. The equation is simple - good stewarding = better atmosphere = more attendance = more money = better facilities and better players and an all round better game. Yesterdays antics by the lads in yellow were shocking. A steward stood on front of me to talk to someone behind me so i stood up to see the game - she threatened to thow me out and i explained she was a better door than a window and she should use her glasses to read the rule book. I wont be back to easter road, as i really want to support ICT at any cost but that yesterday was a final straw for me. Il go to all the grounds in the SPL and the best stewarding will dictate where i head next season provided we stay up. Bring on the scottish cup and hopefully some terraces :)
  2. Good luck pele, managing at Huntly would be a fitting start to what is essentially second shot at football management (he has had flirtations with the idea before, but Huntly could act as a clean break) - i hope he takes this chance and does it in a manner he wishes he had done it the first time round!
  3. if there is a pot going round the away end with a well known ICT fan representative collecting money, il gladly part with a 5er at Hibs away.
  4. Someone created this page on facebook as a bit of a rollcall for Hibs to make sure there is a repeat of UTD away - Facebook link Quite a good idea i thought.
  5. At Falkirk away (4-0) we were split up by the stewards hence the atmosphere was like a home game...
  6. good post, im loving how the away day banter has carried on since the 1st! You could see how much the support meant to the players and terry aswell. I honestly cant think of a better way to spend a saturday (or sunday etc) afternoon - it seems that an ever growing proportion of away go-ers share my view. I CANT WAIT FOR HIBS
  7. I think we need to change Mccann for Proc at right back and push Cox further forward. Mcbain and Duncan have a great understanding and are both suited to the holding roll. Eric can play out wide and swap with Hayes during the game as Terry is partial to doing anyway. Heres my team; Esson Proc Tokely Munro Gillet Mcbain Duncan Hayes Cox Eric Rooney
  8. 4-2-3-1 has to be the formation. It took most of last season to find that formula - why play more defensively against the old firm or anyone else? Iv got every confidence our players can cause defences havoc and our back line to be solid enough when using last seasons formation.
  9. Il be there + 1
  10. The same as Georgeios but with Proc at right back
  11. Today I was away from the house at half seven to go to work on the Blackrock hydro scheme, meetings with the big boys and back home for 8:30. My bonus has to be when I get my first full time paycheck at the end of this month. (or ayr united away)
  12. here here!
  13. and on comes....Number Four! The announcer has to be changed, he clearly was out of his depth the other night and the comments about him being cringe-worthy are true. Its clearly not his best effort if he didnt research how to say the names of players and the team. To be perfectly honest, it would have been less embarrasing having no announcer at all!
  14. ack up the road in time for Rockness
  15. wheres that venue?
  16. The road geometry dictates the speed on which vehicles drive not the design of the car. For example take the standard overtaking sight distance for a certain vehicle - this wont change regardless of which technology you implement under the bonnet. The derived formulas are completely indapendent of the vehicles accelerative performance, and only focus on the speed limit imposed to carry out the manouver (hence the long straight and wide Autoban in Germany - lots of time to think). To change the speed limits would therefore require a change in the geometry of the road (or the conditions surrounding it). I personally have 3 points - my numberplate was stolen two years ago and the police informed me that it is likely that an almost identical car which had been stolen was driving around somewhere. I recieved a letter through the post informing me of an additional 3 points which i had incurred (im about 50%% sure it wasnt me :D ) and I mentioned this to the police. Nothing more came of it! Another thing (sort for going off on one!) - I spoke to my past employer about the time of almost recieving 6 points and offered to pay the excess once the result was confirmed. They reacted positively but it might be different if company policy comes into play. the ex's old man managed to avoid a fine by paying ?30 for a legal walkthrough document on the internet which he followed like gospel, dont ask me anymore about it though! Needless to say iv calmed down since all these incidents and consider myself one of the more law abiding drivers now (likely until i get a bigger car)
  17. Feb8th - im not into paranormal activity at all and I know how you chase "orbs" (I dont believe they are ghosts!) but i thought this pic might interest you - British Legion Its taken in the british legion during a ceilidh - 10 wee orbs in one photo must be some sort of record no?
  18. what about a season ticket for the bus? its financially viable and would encourage people to go if they have stumped up money! If it was a good deal i would invest in it, the trains are costly if you dont have a railcard.
  19. Wilsononourwing has spoken.
  20. id like to say that the atmosphere has improved at TCS since we entered the first division. 2 reason for this: 1) More standing permitted 2) We played better football I think it will be back to sweetie rustling next season but i personally will be asking for a season ticket with my wee bro up the back of G/F/H to try to prevent that happening
  21. Thanks to all who donated so far, Il keep you posted on my progress and il upload some photos if i can find a computer en-route  Michael
  22. Hi Folks, My flatmate Tom and I have completed the thorough process of planning to cycle all of the 111 active distilleries in Scotland and intend on carrying out our best attempt at the 2200 mile journey on the 21st of May this year for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Our tour takes this basic form: 1) Orkney 2) Caithness East 3) Great Glen Way 4) Inner Hebrides 5) Dumfries 6) Glasgow 7) Edinburgh 8) Tayside 9) Speyside 10) Inverness We will attempt as many distilleries as possible up until the date of our graduation (1st July) - This gives us a potential 40 days and 40 nights to complete this epic journey! So please dig deep and sponsor us anything you can, we and Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland will be grateful for even smallest donation. An update on what my PR (mum) and my sis have been up to; She managed to get ?200 for expenses on the trip as well as ?49 from the old folks she cares for! Julie (my sis) has organised to get the printing done for my jacket and T-shirt from Acorn Signs. We will be in the Am-Bratach news paper and we were in last Tuesdays Inverness Courier...there are murmerings of a possible stint on BBC Scotland when im on the trip but we will have to wait and see about that one! Im just in the process of writing to Highland Spring for sponsorship along with Talisker whisky at the moment (although another trip to the gym is in order - I spent last week walking and rowing for a while up north and the week before that I cycled to Ben lomond and back (80 Miles in all) as well as climbing Ben Lomond in the same day. If you could sponsor me id be very grateful, every penny counts :blah01: Just Giving Website Thanks, Michael
  23. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, lest we forget top 6 would be amazing
  24. well who would have thought it...an ICT player turning down Aberdeen (essentially a top 6 side). This shows three things, 1) how good life is here at Caley Thistle, 2) how big a club we are now and 3) how much of a legend Ritchie foran is!
