  1. If the new money folk are proven to be Arabs, I’m taking 100% credit for spotting the planes
  2. 3no private unbranded planes on the tarmac at Inverness Airport on Tuesday morning (this is a real photo). They must be here for the Harry Gow dream rings I’m thinking!!
  3. Time for another Wyness Shuffle podcast inviting Mr Makwana to a no holds barred interview. Do it lads!
  4. Liaising with the council, it must be something to do with lease assignation. How could it be anything else
  5. Maybe someone from the ST should approach 77 ventures using the “work with us” button on their website…
  6. Hayes and Robson were my two favourite players. What Smee says is true, much of the excitement in watching football for me is seeing players take on defences when dribbling, nothing speaks of confidence more. My favourite formation was 4-2-3-1, with the two central defensive midfielders and the back four doing the groundwork which freed up the forward 4 to take on players and terrorise defences. The good old days.
  7. Don’t worry folks, the final takeover bid will be £5m….
  8. Does anyone know that if the appeal is upheld, ICT will benefit? I’ve read the appeal document, it seems like the applicants (?) have very good grounds here. I just can’t work out if ICT will benefit as a result.
  9. I’ve just dropped off my uncle in law at the Orkney hotel, when I asked what was on tonight he told me that Aberdeen’s Chief Executive Alan Burrows and their supporters liaison officer Lynn Fiske were hosting a supporters question and answer session. I was amazed at this gesture from Aberdeen to send such high profile club officials to a far flung place to engage with what is surely a small fan base (perhaps 150 supporters). I can’t help but consider the contrast between ICT and Aberdeen here. We can’t even arrange proper press releases never mind real community engagement. Anyone arguing that Aberdeen have vast resources compared to us don’t have case to answer, a small number of additional supporters going to a game or buying merchandise as a result of such a session would surely be a return on investment.
  10. Well worthy of his own thread here. A club legend indeed.
  11. In this age of oppressed budgets, I wonder if an assistant manager isn’t a luxury we can afford. Most teams have them, but surely using that wage for boots on the field is likely to get better results?? Get the Captain whoever they are to take training and do the duties maybe. Others on here will know more about if it’s possible I’m sure.
  12. I really hope someone in the media doing the next interview with Duncan asks if our style of play will change next season
  13. They are good things aren’t they? Would love a historical strip hangar again, maybe the first strip or the 2000 one!
  14. On an unrelated note I had bought this car hanger ICT strip in 2008/9. The hangar failed a couple of years ago but my 3 year old daughter has found a good use for the strip! I might have influenced / helped out…
  15. Think it could be a good idea to set up a gofundme for other ICT players who appeal for help to the ST given the circumstances? There must be others who have a tricky predicament.
  16. Mark is certainly a player that could be pushing promotion from the Championship or even playing in the premier league, him playing for us in League 1 would be a huge asset of that there is no doubt. It’s a real disgrace that no one from the club has contacted him and the players but not just that, it’s a tactical disaster.
  17. Looking forward to hopefully getting more ICT playing/non playing staff on the pod now the clown is gone!
  18. If there ever was a time for fan investment, it would be under a new and trusted Chairperson following a clear out of the duds on the board. Perhaps that’s not far away at all. I wonder what a fan investment offer would look like? How much is needed to buy another year of solvency? Who communicates what’s needed? I commend the ST for the lobbying work that has no doubt contributed to meaningful change so far. I hope the ST are strongly involved going forward whatever happens. In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity!
  19. A thing we are needing is those on the board who disagree with this decision to loudly condemn this decision by speaking through the media and publicly shame those pushing it through. We need to know who the fan’s allies are on the board because the whole lot of them are in the crosshairs at the moment. If there is enough for a vote of no confidence somehow then perhaps ousting the bad eggs could be possible. Name and shame…let’s have the details. Grassa? Are you listening?
  20. What a sickener. A truly diabolical decision by the board that will definitely make the news. ICT won’t just be pitied due relegation, but now be viewed as a complete laughing stock. I expect the ST to raise a motion of season ticket boycotting on the back of this, with a view to a total board clear out. Even if the board’s plan works and we were to win the league, I’d be watching with saddened eyes as journeymen players represent our highland club from the central belt. Young player development will be the next cut by the looks of it. Surely the last straw for every last ICT fan. Join the ST.
  21. Any more updates on the situation outside the ground?
  22. If we are relegated and the administration comes through after the league starts, it’s a 10 point deduction starting league 1
  23. Perhaps use a 4-2-3-1 formation to try and stop passing horizontally across the park…
  24. If we were relegated I’d happily see a team from the youth setup in the first team. Journeymen and loanees in League 1 wouldn’t interest me much, especially if we had a mediocre league finish.
  25. It would be a great gesture of endorsement if the club contributed to fund in an ongoing modest way. It would show how much value the club places on fan involvement. Say a £0.5 per ticket, added to the current price but dished to the ST? Surely no fan going to games would begrudge £0.5 and support the idea.
