It’s funny you mention this as I thought the same. I bought a yellow strip for my 6s team as I thought it was easier to pick out players…could be nonsense that but we did win the league 4 times in a row. Maybe there is something in it!

Can anyone post up all the roles at the club in a structure, essentially anyone that is on the payroll? Is there any official publication of this anywhere? It does seem like we are ‘management heavy’, but I’m conscious it’s tricky to understand the roles and need for them. Do for example, Heart of Midlothian or other clubs publish this type of information?

Shane definitely suits being played up top and dropping deep isn’t his game. I thought Samuels looked sharp and was played out of position. It was a shame to see him subbed. I’d have liked him positioned in behind the forwards. Carson works so hard but I think he is better in midfield and he lacked cover from the midfield tonight so he was exposed. McAlear and Welsh were over-run in the midfield given the formation and 4-2-3-1 would suit those two better in protecting the defence tonight. Chalmers needs an end product to his game and gave away possession easily. He has promise though so more game time for him needed. We need a better delivery from wide areas generally and set pieces and our goal ratio from these situations is telling. An early delivery as opposed to running channels would help unsettle defences.

As a regular subscriber to ICT PPV I wanted to congratulate the club on providing an excellent product. Iain Auld is a very talented commentator and by far the best one I have listened to online. He has a fluidity and professional sounding commentary that really is top class. Ross Tokely is also superb and every comment he makes I find I agree with - his tactical insights and passion as an ICT fan make our PPV a joy to watch. The camera angles and replays are good with only a few minor glitches. Well done Iain, Ross and ICT!

I think there was enough positives earlier this season to make me say BD should stay until the end of the season. RF had been honking throughout apart from a couple of good results.

At least let him have the season, the end of which is a better time to judge how things have went.

Both goals for Hamilton were coming today. I thought Allardice was superb in the first half and Harper was also a stand out. McLear should have been subbed for MacGregor at 50mins and a change of shape too. Shane was unlucky not to score after good running into the box, only for a good save by Hamiltons keeper. Billy was frustrated today but did well to set up the goal. Poor Carson was handed his dinner a few times and crosses were a weak point for us to defend. I’ve just seen Robbos news feature on STV tonight and on the back of this I thought I’d start a thread for positive messages to Robbo, here’s mine; Robbo, I think you are a very good manager and a great match for our club. From my experience, our fans believe you are elevating our club higher than resources permit and in that regard you are adding good value and that makes you one of our best assets. Your approach to youth players is so encouraging and our club feels like more of an Inverness club than it has in a long time. We can’t be there in person at the Caledonian Stadium to give you my backing in person, but we will return in numbers at some point!! Keep the chin up, lockdown is temporary

Fair play to those as the club who sorted the ppv service out today. The camera is operated by someone and it didn’t miss a beat. The commentary chap had some interesting facts about the players. Looking forward to the next one now!

I really commend the club for pushing the PPV service and I hope they get it right ASAP. I won’t be subscribing until I hear reports of success from future showings. I was hugely frustrated with the product that my £10 bought. A ball boy on a joystick could do a better job. Bin the auto camera nonsense please. We are close to having a fantastic service and someone needs to take ownership to see that delivered please.

If we end up being promoted after the Covid-19 / league restructure settles out, revenue will be much improved in the top league without us having spent much to get there. If we trim back all out of contract players now, then field a young and threadbare squad with modest recruits during our first season we could have a good financial situation there for the first time in a while. Then build from there.

That’s an interesting thought...weather the Roy MacGregor storm of investment over the bridge and the subsequent collapse of county when he dies, then the Highlands really are ours!!

I’m just in from night shift and I’ve listened to this from start to finish. Brilliant lads. I’d encourage all ICT fans to have a listen and to enjoy the comprehensive and banterous chat herein. John Robertson has assembled a team that has exceeded all expectations we’ve had this season in my opinion, given where we have come from. With us being in a Scottish Cup semi final and in contention for a playoff place, who could ask for more. On reflection, he has achieved more than that in fielding a bunch of lads who are hungry to prove a point whilst trying to identify with the fans based on the character of the player on show. Our lads who started last weekend are from: Mark Ridgers: Inverness lad Shaun Rooney: Bellshill Coll Donaldson: Edinburgh Carl Tremarco: Liverpool Kevin McHattie: Glenrothes Tom Walsh: Irvine Joe Chalmers: Glasgow Liam Polworth: Inverness lad Aaron Doran: County Cork Nathan Austin: Hertfordshire Jordan White: Bellshill It struck me from the interviews posted on the ICT FC facebook page that we have a predominantly Scottish team on our books. The team dont resemble the ‘journeyman’ tag we might have had in the past. Whilst some might favour the ‘diversity’ tag line, on reflection, I thought that our squad list was one that certainly doesn’t feel ‘alien’ to us as a team and one that fits with Robbos ambition to establish an ICT identity. Do you identify with this team and ultimately the brand & identity Robbo is establishing? I for one definitely do.

Id be keen on putting some cash in on the premise; I can get it back within say 2 years of requesting it There is a small incentive to me to invest I don't care about fans having a say on the board if I can get my money back. This is to keep it simple and trust those in charge. If I don't like what I see being done with my money, I can pull it. The business idea is that ICT generate relative surplus income from fans investment i.e. finish one place higher in the league than had the money not been available. Money is money is money so a donation is something I think a lot of people wouldn't do in Inverness. My donation is attending games. Like someone above said, ICT is a business at the end of the day not a charity.

A great game! Calder and Ridgers were outstanding. Great to see Oakley back. A mention for Chalmers, Welsh, Walsh and Polly, they a good game too. Young Daniel and White weren’t effective and Austin could have done better than either. McCart didn’t upset the Apple cart when replacing Rooney and Doran looked like his old self. The counter attack looked menacing, the fans were cheering the counter from our own box which was heartening for all concerned. The linesman is a joke however!

Scotty, I’m so sorry to hear this. The worst part is the stress for yourself and loved ones until you beat it. My family have been ravaged with it but I’m pleased to say the majority have beat it - stay positive always. Another thing we learned is time is of the essence so push and call the medical professionals all the time after every bit of progress. I kept a programme for my father and when in meetings I was seen to write a diary, it helps ask the right questions. All the very best my man, Michael

I am a bit torn on White actually. His record speaks for itself and that would be enough to justify a start if Robbo wanted to go that way. Some of his touches were honking though, but then you get a goal like the one against Morton that was excellent!? CaleyD's post is a good one. Being a bit frustrated and voicing at the time of a mistake is natural but there is a line that people are crossing at TCS and sadly Jordan got it in the neck on Tuesday. Not nice listening to it and I wish folk would cut it out. "He used to be $hite, but now he's alright!"...lest we forget Sir Dennis didn't exactly have the best of starts did he?

In response to ICT Chris, you are confusing the "lets drop Polworth" approach with my suggestion that has been made independent of any bias with the intent of providing honest footballing opinion. Just because he has had a rough time, doesn't give him a guaranteed place in the team and if the right thing to do is sub him, sub him. No one is exempt from being dropped based on performance. I don't want to be tagged to the anti-Polworth brigade but since I have been directly called out and slandered on this issue, here is my justification purely on football grounds for dropping Polly for a short while. We have been on a very long and winless run, lacking goals and unfortunately Polly has to be tagged to this as a key creative midfielder - as he offers little defensively the main contribution HAS to be in attack. He has had only TWO assists in ELEVEN games which doesn't make great reading and we need better if we are to push for promotion. If you watch his assist against Dunfermline, he was clearly passing to the first man not Calder so one of these assists is very lucky. He had a lot of stray passes against Dunfermline which you wont see in highlights, and since he was absent in his contribution in the second half Robbo rightly subbed him - if he was that good he would have changed the formation to suit. I agree with the important tackle comment and also your comment on set-pieces, although we have only scored from one in 540 mins of football that Polly supplied. We have others who can do equally as good.

If those are fit: Ridgers Rooney Mckay Donaldson Tremarco Welsh Trafford Walsh Austin Calder Oakley The formation is to offer better protection to the defence and enable counter attacks. We have been very pedestrian of late and I can’t remember an opposition tiring from our efforts. County play 3 at the back and this formation can exploit that with the front 3 countering. County also have 5 in midfield so we will need that number to defend at times. If Tremarco and Oakley not fit, swap Calder to LB and Doran to midfield, with Whyte up top for a half. My thoughts are that Mckay and Rooney need some protection as they were badly exposed last night, that’s Welsh and Trafford’s main job in this formation. They both did ok defensively last night. Polly looks like he needs a rest, he was absent in the second half and made some slack passes and was frustrated at half time. Austin is a better playmaker at the moment. That said Polly could be good for winding up county! Whyte whilst he has scored, many could have with the chance he had last night. He missed three headers and at least two shots that others could have buried. There was limited creativity for others too. Oakley will definately ruffle Fontaine or Muirhesd in the County defence better.
